Grand hotel for a minuscule price

We got the bus from Ho Chi Minh into Phnom Penh and then grabbed a tuk tuk who brought us to the hotel. The location is quite a way from the busier areas but that meant it was fairly quiet.
Our room was on the top floor, it was very large and clean, however the air conditioning didn't seem to work very well and the room never got cold which meant it was quite a hot restless sleep.

For the price we paid, it was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were big and clean, the mattress was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu didn't have a huge variety (mainly different variety of eggs on toast or french toast) but it was delicious and the staff were professional and quick. Although I think the room mentioned a balcony with a "city view" - our view was of neighbouring rooftops surrounded by other buildings (in other words, no view). The downside is that this isn't near the riverfront (touristy) area, and the area is a bit run-down. But you can walk for 20 minutes to get to the touristy areas or get a cheap tuk-tuk. I'm glad we didn't stay near the riverfront because it seems it would be quite noisy at night. So if you're looking for a cheap, nice stay in a quieter (but dirtier) area, I recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, Friendly Guesthouse

I agree with previous reviewers that the staff here are friendly, helpful and efficient. Very good housekeeping and stable, strong wifi. Large sized room with large flat screen TV and many channels, room safe, fridge and telephone. Good air-conditioning. Adequate choice for breakfast menu. I suggest adding the Cambodian meals that they are able to cook for lunch/dinner to the menu.Located on Street 63 which leads straight to a big shopping mall and the Central Market with lots of little shops along the way. About thirty minutes walk to the Riverside but a few roads to cross. Tuk Tuks always available. I experienced no problems during my four night stay.

Friendly staffs

I was greeted with a smile by friendly staffs.
The staff was helpful - he recommended places of interests and a tuk tuk to take us there.
He was reliable as he assist us in getting our coach tickets to siem reap. It is exactly the company and the timing I wanted. ( I read many reviews that other guesthouse always try to rip their customers off by purchasing the tickets of another company at high prices. )
Just a point to improve is to hire more English speaking staffs. There was a miscommunication as we were only proceeding to have our breakfast when the coach came to pick us up.
Pretty good location. 15 mins walk to central market.

our room was double booked

On arrival we were informed that our room was unavailable due to manage double booking our room obviously got better room rate elsewhere so they transfered. Us to there sister. Hotel other end of town not happy we were picked up next morning and transfered back then informed that we would be given free dinner for inconvenience. Manager didn't show up once just left it to staff to deal with shame on. You after reading back on reviews this seems to be quite common on his her behalf double shame book with this in mind
