High standard
Marriott is always guarantee of high standards along the globe. One night stay only - excellent room and staff. Minor details - water was not very hot and some bad smell coming out from the toilet.

SUPER COMFORT and VERY NICE STAFF
This is my first experience going to Medan. I love my room, nice ambiance, clean, and near with elevator. Staff is very helpful when i cannot tap my room card, help to save durian ucok (need to save in the freezer), you can get the legal cab (named Bluebird ) from the lobby, and you can get ATM access near hotel, still in the same building with the hotel. And my suggestion is to get your breakfast outside the hotel, just find some traditional food, get the original taste, because Medan has so many kind of GREAT traditional food. :) Enjoy!!

Can be better
The stay in JW Marriott Medan is good and yet not so good. The staff is very friendly and great customer service. The sad back is the travel desk. There isn't a travel desk service for the hotel guests. The car service arrangement is not reliable during changing shift. One of the concierge staff doing the wrong thing for asking money deposit in order to secure a car arrangement to Lake Toba. At the end, we wasted our effort to drive for 5 hours to Lake Toba and the driver was not willing to let us visit the island and then drive another 5 hours drive back to hotel. Other than this unhappy experience, the food is great at the cafe and the room is fantastic.
