VEry pleasant - breakfast or meals overlooking the crowd going into the JR train pass is really entertaining. They did try to add in more people for check-in when the line was 10 people but still was slow.

Most satisfying and enjoyable as the central location and convenient transport system nearby allowed us to hop back to the hotel for short breaks to rest in between taking in the sights. Highly recommended.

I was lucky to be upgraded to the executive floor but I have every reason to believe the other rooms are also ok. Everything is rather new and well kept. Staff was excellent. Location on top of Kyoto station is extremely convenient. Easy train ride 'downstairs' to Osaka airport in the morning.
