Far from the maddening crowd
Friendly staff, laid back relaxed atmosphere, fabulous view of ocean

Totally enjoyed our stay at the resort. May have been very far from the town action but it was good for people who just wanted to relax and chill. Roland and Monique were great hosts who provided good advice, doing their best to help us save money by advising us to join other guests for some activities so that we can split the costs. The rest of the staff were also helpful and friendly. Even their dog, Jackie, was super friendly and welcoming. Of course it did not hurt that every morning we woke up to a great view of the ocean that made it seem like we were in paradise. All in all, we had a great holiday.

Friendly place
Diving easily arranged, close to beach, good smoothies

The native cabins lacked good ventilation. Air-conditioner was noisy. Prefer ceiling fans and more windows. No swimming pool, but the sea was close by.

Very pleasant and memorable because it is an hour and a half away from Oslob; for snorlelling with whalesharks.

private, simple, remote and beautiful

I had a very good time at the Asian Belgian Resort. It was in a very remote location- 2 hours away from the airport, but the view from the room was spectacular. The beach by the hotel is gorgeous, but not sandy enough to swim in for too long. The closest white sand beaches were only a 5 minute walk from the resort.
Bring your own shampoo and soap because those weren't provided daily. I'm sure you could have asked, but I didn't.
It was a friendly atmosphere in general, but on my last day, I witnessed a pretty sad situation where the owner of the hotel was fighting with one of the Filipino workers. It seemed like they were fighting about a serious private and relationship issue, and I felt bad for the workers there.
Other than that one incident, I can't complain. I had a relaxing time there.
