Viaggiatori singoli United Kingdom, 10 novembre 2012	Almost on the beach, very near the railway station Good value accommodation, friendly, helpful owner and good airport transfers arranged. 7 Avakasha Beach Resort consists of a main building and seven cabanas situated around a small pool. The owner is a great, friendly and helpful guy who really wants you to enjoy your stay. He arranged a reliable airport pick-up and drop-off, he also gave me his personal phone number and told me to contact him if I had any problems, I didn’t so it's difficult for me to complain about anything. The rooms are big with comfortable beds (the best pillows in SL) a ceiling fan and large, clean white nets. The beach is very nearby and you have it to yourself, because you are not near any of the big hotels so there’s no bother from ‘beach boys’(touts) There’s not much going on in the vicinity but you can pick up a bus to just about anywhere on the Galle Road (a 3 minute walk from Avakasha). Panadura, an interesting town is a 4Km walk along the beach road and has everything you’re likely to need. The small print: Unfortunately the owner is only present at the weekends, there are two old guys and an attached 3-wheeler driver around to cater for you the rest of the time, other reviewers speak highly of them. I love travelling by train in Sri Lanka so having Pinwatte railway station almost literally on the doorstep was a plus for me but it does mean that there is noise from commuter trains from quite early in the morning. Sugg. su attrazioni: Do use the trains, they are cheap and easy. The guy in Pinwatta station will tell you the time of the trains north (Panadura is 4 minutes away - Colombo about an hour) or south (so you can visit the wonderful Temple at Kalutara or carry on down to Galle - even Matara). From Colombo you can travel by train to Trinco, Batti, Kandy or the Hill Country etc. Go up the day before your trip to your book seats, you'll get good info and advice at the very helpful railway tourist office at Colombo Fort Station

Viaggiatori singoli Kuwait, 5 ottobre 2012	Service with a smile Swimming pool 9 This place is located in a village but the people are so lovely, I had the owner preparing the breakfast with the cook for us the first day when we arrived and the staff was so friendly and helpful that they gave us the feeling that we were at home. Wonderful people and wonderful food cooked by the cooks and not to forget the Tuk Tuk boy, his name is Priyadarshan and he was very very helpful and always ready to take us where ever we wanted to go. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and wanted to go back to meet everyone before I left from Sri Lanka but did not get a chance because I was late but will surely go to this place because of the owners friendliness and the warm welcoming staff who gave us so much respect. Definitely a good place to relax.

Very clean rooms but basically a concrete chalet. 8,7 the avakasha beach resort is a small area with 7 chalets. there's a nice small pool in the middle. the owner is great fun. there are 2 old sri lankan men that cook and clean and they are so lovely. one of their sons is the tuk tuk driver who will go and get beers etc for you. there's nowhere to walk to as sri lanka is a new resort and it's quite poor but clean. the only downside was the beach. you have to walk across the railway line (which isn't really a problem) but the beach is absolutely filthy and covered with plastic bottles and rubbish. the owner took said he's hiring some guys to clean it up. we and the old guys cried when we moved on south.
