Accommodating atmosphere and staff

we found the mendoza a wonderful place in guadalajara. the rooms were ver comfortable with a queen size bed and a large flat-screen tv as well as a very modern bathroom. location is in the center of the "old city" and is accessible to all locales. the staff was more than accommodating with information about tours and taxis.
our only complaint was the restaurant. the first evening of our stay i ordered pasta alfredo which turned out to be spaghetti with a red meat sauce. my partner ordered a "roast" chicken dinner which arrived as boiled and then broiled chicken tenders with a pyramid of french fries which, of course were cold because of the air circulating through the constructed pyramid.
all in all a very pleasant experience . . . (we found other restaurants!)

For a lot of foreign tourists there is not an abundance of restaurants that offer anything other than Mexican fare. Go out to Nogales Avenue and enjoy a superb dinner at Concina ochente ocho an absolutely wonderful meal in an old mansion (a little pricey but worth it.)

Colonial style hotel right in old center
Great admosphere, friendly and efficient staff, own parking, good wireless internet

we only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer.
the hotel is very modern eventhough at first sight it looks very traditional. the hotel is only two minutes walk from the cathedral and shopping areas. the staff helped us with directions to some great shops nearby. the hotel has a restaurant but we preferred breakfast in the open air and were directed to a square nearby. we had roomservice for dinner which was quick and good quality.
every floor has its own strong wireless signal.
Sugg. su attrazioni:
wax museum and rippley's are very near, good for the kids.
traditional mexican costumes can be found at several shops nearby or at the old market at 10 minutes walk. a 1 hour horse cart ride through the centre should not be missed.

the best hotel in the historic district
Great rooms, staff, location location location.
Spacious, clean, internet wifi, and centrally located.

The hotel is located near the teatro de gollado and the center of town. If you want a hotel that is centrally located, clean, great staff, near lots of restaurants then this is the BEST one in town.
