Coppie United Kingdom, 9 aprile 2012	Good, clean hotel in fantastic location Location, breakfast 7,3 This hotel was ideally located in Ipanema, right by the shops, restaurants, bars and of course, the beach. About 10 minutes walk to Copacabana. Also near the underground station for access to other parts of town like Lapa. We stayed on B&B basis and the breakfast was great - lots of choice and really fresh food, particularly the fruit choices. Room was a bit on the small side but was clean and practical. Only downside was that everything seemed to be extra - in particular wi-fi which was free everywhere else we stayed in Brazil. Had to pay to use the safe as well, which was a bit of a pain but only BR$3 per day. Sugg. su attrazioni: Get to Christ the Redeemer very early otherwise you will have a long wait for a ticket for the tram up to the top. Views tend to be better in the morning too before the afternoon cloud sets in.

Coppie India, 13 ottobre 2011	Location Good location, good breakfast, staff speaks english and helpful 6,7 we had checked in to a room that was a bit small and not so great. the hotel seems a bit old. i had read somewhere that if you ask the reception to put you in a better room, they will try to do that. and so i tried, and they did! the breakfast is on till 11am so that's great because you may be there on a holiday and waking up late! :) the location is great. rua visc. piraja is a got a nice buzz. you can rent bicycles from just a minute away. beach sucos lanchenete is closey by as well as other good restaurants. the beach is also of course close and this is not too far from copacabana too. took the day tour from the hotel - charged r$180 per person. tour guide martin was a good man. tour is basic and nice. takes all day and the lunch is good. wifi in some rooms is not a strong connection and you may have to go to the lobby at times. it is not free and there is a per minute billing option which is good. compared to the hotels in sao paolo, i noticed that hotels in rio are much more expensive.
