It is quite convenient to visit some historical buildings and old churches. There are some good restaurants nearby. Nevetherless, hotel is very expensive in comparison to its services and conditions.

But the overall condition of the hotel room is very basic - do not expect too much but a bed to rest. The hotel restaurant serves good foods and wines with good service even though almost all the waitors can hardly speak English.

Viaggiatori singoli Philippines, 10 settembre 2011	Grand old hotel with a very good location Free wi-fi access anywhere in the hotel & near the Republica Metro station 8,3 This is practically a hotel with a very good location. During my first day I just walked for 15-20mins to Praca Da Se (Catedral Metropolitana) and Liberdade (Japanese quarters). The next day I also walked to the area where Edificio de Altino Arantes is located. The hotel is also just nea the Metro station of Republica which I took in going to places like Avenida Paulista, Vila Madalena & Museu Paulista. The hotel is quite old but I like its rustic charm and squeaky cleanliness. The staff are ever helpful and kind. Wi-fi internet access is definitely fast and available for free anywhere in the hotel. Add to that the two cozy, Victorian-style receiving areas (lobby). Breakfast is included in the rate and the food was above average.

Viaggiatori singoli Canada, 1 aprile 2011	Basic hotel with friendly staff Location, service, Internet access, close to subway 7,3 i have stayed here on several occasions and keep coming back. the hotel itself is average ... nothing fancy ... but the location is very conveniently located on the praca da republica. the hotel is a block from the subway and there is a coach to the airport on the other side of the praca ... very convenient. the room itself was basic with rather old furnishings. breakfast is also included, which makes this hotel good value.

Chambre très spacieuse mais avec mobilier plus ancien. Excellent acceuil à la réception. Bons conseils pour la visite de la ville. Petit déjeuner copieux. Viaggiatori singoli Japan, 23 agosto 2012	満室で他のホテルに案内されましたフロントのホテルマンが誠実でした 6,7 ヘプブリカ広場のすぐ側ということでこのホテルを手配していたのですが、ホテルに着いたのが21時頃と遅かった事に加えて、当日チェックアウトする客が行方をくらまし携帯電話に連絡が取れないとの事で、満室となりこのホテルには泊まれませんでした。しかしながら、ホテルマンが代わりのホテルを同じ条件・料金で提供するということで近くのHotel Castelarに案内されました。Hotel Gran Coronaからタクシーで行きました。もちろんタクシー代はGran Coronaが負担しましたが。あと、Gran Coronaでフロントの人に水が欲しいとお願いしたら、併設のレストランからペットボトルの水を快くくれました。Gran Coronaは4つ星ホテルでしたが、Castelarは3つ星ホテルだったので、本当に同じ条件だったのかは未確認ですが、Castelarでは気分よく滞在できました。 Sugg. su attrazioni: ヘプブリカ広場が近くて地下鉄を使うには便利な場所です。
Norifumi F. Viaggiatori singoli Japan, 2 aprile 2012	ローケションが良く、移動には非常に便利。従業員に教育の行き届いたベテランが多く毎日顔を合わせるのが非常に楽しかった。 7,3 週末にとまった為、完全なレジャー観光でホテルの位置が地下鉄の真上という事もあり、移動がスムースで便利であった。又従業員の愛想もとても感じが良く楽しく過ごせた。唯設備、内装が古く近代的なモダンなホテルに慣れた人には違和感があるかもしれない。
