Serene and Spiritual”

We chose the place only because we had a great time at Anantya’s other lakeside property in Travancore. But this turned out to be a whole new experience. The whole place felt spiritual almost. The heritage decor radiated a meditational vibe. IT almost felt like we were in a shrine rather than a hotel! The writings on the wall are from Nammazhwar(the spiritual guru from the region) and the paintings and frames are all super vintage art and real life photography. A very sweet touch and tastefully architected property. LOCATION: Located right next to the temple wall and nestled within the ‘Agraharam’ area filled with traditional brahim homes. A great base to explore all the nine temples of NAVATHIRUPATHI circuit. DINE + DRINK: Teh best part of the stay was the stay was the way we were served our meals. Almost like a home stay experience where the cook and crew aksed us what we wanted to eat and specially prepared it for us. ROOM: We stayed in Room 103(MALAYAMMAL), so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the courtyard from the sitout ; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Ok toiletries, better to bring your own. FACILITIES: No Gym or Pool, pure Rural chill SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to SHIVRAJ and RAMESH for sharing wonderful tips around what to see locally and hosting us warmly, ANU the housekeeping staff for setting up the room tastefully. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. No Television in the room, specially meant to make you unplug fully.
