Hot Springs → The water quality was soft and very good. The shower was also the type that doesn't stop running, so I was able to wash comfortably, haha. There was a private outdoor bath, but I didn't use it; I should have taken the opportunity to do so. Dining → Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style. The hotel promoted meat, but the vegetables were delicious, haha. The other dishes were replenished as needed, and I thought the staff was wonderfully attentive. Location → It's in the mountains, haha. The route to get there was all about mountains, and it's a terrain that's difficult to access without a car. There seems to be a shuttle bus, though. The air was very fresh, especially inside the outdoor bath, because it's surrounded by lush green mountains. The scenery is just mountains and green, for better or for worse, haha.
I decided to stay here based on the price and reviews. I stayed on a weekday. The building is old, but it's an ordinary hotel. Since it's Atami, I thought I would be able to see the ocean from my room, but I could only see mountains. Personally, it was quiet and I didn’t mind it much. The road to the hotel has some steep sections, which might be scary for those who are not used to driving in rainy weather or winter. I think it would be quite dim and uneasy at night, so it's better to check in during daylight hours. The room I booked was a Western-style semi-double × 2 and was spacious, but the sofa was small, so one person would have to sit on the bed to relax. The large public bath and outdoor hot spring are spacious and clean. The outdoor bath is a bit lukewarm, but it’s good for a longer, leisurely soak. There was also a spot where you could lie down in the outdoor bath. It’s better to add the dinner buffet. I think it’s cheaper and tastier than going down to the town for dinner and coming back. The steak cooked on the grill, black curry, and sashimi were especially delicious. The breakfast buffet was average. The breakfast start time was at 7:45, which was later than most hotels. The staff were friendly. This place might be good for those who want to relax quietly. However, since there is nothing around, it’s best to buy anything you need before going to the hotel.
The facility, although old, was completely clean. The room, bath, restaurant, and lobby were all well-maintained and felt nice. Also, the bath was spacious, and the water quality was excellent. The food was delicious with good ingredients! The staff's service was great, and I felt relaxed and rejuvenated. I will repeat my visit!! Thank you very much.
As mentioned in other reviews, it indeed feels like a winding climb up the mountain. However, the view is very good. Although I arrived a bit early, they kindly let me check in. The hotel has a very calming atmosphere. The bath was nice, and above all, the quality of the meals for this price is amazing. The variety may be limited, but I found it just right. The live kitchen staff were friendly and approachable, making it easy to place orders, especially in a buffet where it's often hard to ask for something. The teppanyaki meat was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was also a delight, with staff constantly replenishing and tidying up, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The bath was great, and the room was spacious and clean. This time I stayed in a Western-style room, so I would like to try staying in a Japanese-style room next time. The staff were all kind and helpful. I have nothing but gratitude. I want to go back again.

We stayed as a couple. The road to the hotel was a bit unclear, but once we arrived, I forgot all about that thanks to the staff's response at the reception! Everyone was very kind and pleasant. The room was spacious enough, and I think the cleaning was thorough. Since there was no bath in the room, we used the private outdoor bath on the day of our stay. We also used the large public bath the next morning, and both were very good. The meals didn’t have a large variety, but everything was delicious. The steak was tender, and the hotel-made dressing was very tasty! Overall, I am very satisfied. I would love to stay again if there is another opportunity. One thing… I thought it would have been better if the TV in the room was a bit bigger and positioned so that it could be seen from the bed.
