I stayed for two nights. The location is convenient—about a 15-minute walk or a 10-minute ride on the free shuttle bus. It is about five minutes walk from Atami Sun Beach, with many restaurants and even a police station nearby. Walking from Atami Station is not boring, as the street is lined with shops. However, I do not recommend bringing a suitcase, as the streets can be at times quite steep and paved with uneven surfaces. A backpack is a much better option. Atami Sun Beach is small but enjoyable for those who love the ocean, the beach, and seagulls. There are two small open-air onsen facilities and one public bath area. They are not impressive, but clean and accommodating—good enough for a relaxing soak. The room is old and outdated, and if you expect a meticulously clean or modern room, this place may not be for you. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of dishes, and alcohol is served at dinner. The quality of the food is mediocre. Personally, I wished the flavors had more depth, as many dishes were rather bland and required extra soy sauce. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay. Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary, but relaxing enough.
