Very poor maintainance of the cottages”
We were two families travelling with 2 kids (aged less than a year). Pathetic experience in terms of cottage cleanliness, literally we have to stand and get the cottages clean post arrival. Washroom was stinking, full of insects, windows and room ceiling had webs hanging. The floor mat seems not be washed since ages. Electric kettle with switch broken. And the list could go on. But the worst part was that the room lock fell apart, and even after continuous complaing that was not fixed, imagine the level of security compromise. The only saviour was the food offered and the scenic beauty around. But rest all was nightmare. Miss manager was not present most of the time and post encounter was only to say sorry and put all blame on staff. Staff did their best to support (especially Mr. Ramsingh) but management was pathetic.

Our stay at Balaut Resort was terrible. When we reached the place we found nobody at reception. Rooms are messy, stinking smell at bathroom. The approach is terrible. Not worthy to stay at this hotel. Complete waste of money. Agoda should not have suggested this place.

Very serene and calm surroundings, the food is very good and staff very courteous. Only problem is the last stretch approach road on the hill to the resort which is in very bad shape. Add few more activities and it can be a good holiday destination choice for families. Thank you for the awesome time!

I think its really good destination to spent a week with your family and kids in winter. I am sure Kids will love to stay here. Restaurant staff is very humble and kind. Food offered at restaurant was awesome.

Location is 15 to 30min drive from kathgodam. Very open & quite place with all type of amenities. Children will enjoy very much,1hr drive from nainital,hotel can also provide cabs for traveling. Food also good. Professional staff. Clean swimming pool. Outdoor sports also available. Bar & restaurant have reasonable price. 5 star for location & staff.

We stayed there in New Year Eve....it was fabulous stay, Location is Perfect far from City Crowd in true lap of nature. staff is very helpful..Sonia, Dheeraj ..Kudos ! Bone Fire.Celebration with Dance and Music and feel of cottage Lotany for kids..my 5 yrs old son enjoyed, swings,duck, fish, rabbit and Camel ride in the resort. Recommend if u want to enjoy true nature beauty ..Luxury Cottages are awesome
