An oasis in Agra”
We never normally leave reviews but we felt compelled to leave one for Bansi as our stay was so fantastic! Ultimately the hospitality is what makes this place so special - we were made to feel extremely welcome at all times and Mr Burman and his team went above and beyond in their hospitality. The home cooked food was fantastic each morning and we also had dinner one night which was delicious and there is always more...if you can eat it! The room was large, very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size with a decent shower. Any advice on local attractions and transportation we needed was given in bucket loads and we were advised on what was a fair price to pay. The atmosphere at Bansi is very homely and we enjoyed a number of conversations with Mr Burman and his colleagues. The location of the homestay is down a quiet street off the main road so it is peaceful during night and day but it is in an ideal place as the attractions in Agra are quite spaced out making it difficult to walk between them; Bansi is very central meaning nothing is too far away. We can't recommend this place enough - it made our stay in Agra memorable and that little bit more special! If it's within your budget...stay here!

Most amazing time and experience of our travels. ”
Everything about The Bansi Home Stay was superb! Burman knows how to welcome people into not only his city, but also him home. The family style dining created a wonderful atmosphere where everyone got to know one another and create lasting bonds. Burman was waiting outside to great us in the late evening when we arrived, the first words he spoke were "welcome home!" He immediately put the kitchen to work to feed his tired and hungry new arrivals. The food was excellent and every dish was explained culturally, historically, and with recipe. This place is so much more than a homestay. It's an immersion experience into true Indian hospitality and spirituality. The bar has been raised significantly higher because of staying at Bansi, staying anywhere else in Agra would be a real disservice. It's immaculate, well located, has full amenities, wonderful home cooking, and a real family atmosphere. There simply aren't adequate words to express how fond we were of staying here. As two women traveling alone we felt safe and secure. The owner helped us exchange money and organised a reliable and affordable driver for our day trip around Agra and to Delhi. The food was fresh and homemade and plentiful. We recommend the Bansi home stay without hesitations.

Excellent! Best place to stay in Agra”
Owner, manager and staff made our stay really reaĺly memorable. They are helpful in arranging all our tours and transport needs. They are honest and chased us (after calling our taxi) to return an earring we left behind. Owner joined us on our meals and taught us how to eat certain food and how to best enjoy our Agra experience. It was our first time to stay in a homestay and we will definitely come back. We highly recommend for all tourist to make Bansi part of your Agra adventure

Bansi Home Stay has the personal touch. It was perfect for a lone female traveller. The only issue to get round is that few taxi drivers know where it is - would be useful to have directions on the card more clearly or a local landmark / something well known to help get them close

Fantastic place to stay in Agra”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bansi. The host was brilliant in helping us to book things such as a tuk tuk for the day and onward transport to Jaipur. The rooms were very clean and well decorated and there was a good breakfast to go with it. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in Agra.

Wonderful B & B”
Had a lovely stay at Bansi during our trip to Agra. Literally an oasis amongst the heat and bustle of the city. The room was spacious and clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. We didn't have dinner but the Indian breakfast was delicious and enjoyed a nice chat with the owner Mr Burman.

Superior accommodation at budget price”
Very tasteful room interior with marble floors, crisp linen and new furnishings. The owner seems to deliberately downplay the assets of the guesthouse so that travellers are pleasantly surprised. The room was on par with 5 star hotel bedrooms with a marble glass shower all very contemporary and classy. The service was excellent and the ambience took on a much more relaxed conversational air when the owner joined us in the morning. Seemless check in and out with a great breakfast which included home made pineapple jam. This is definitely the place to stay in Agra.

Bansi Homestay ”
Unfortunately we stayed there just two nights. We would have loved to stay a little bit longer because it was overwhelming. Our train had a delay of three hours. So we arrived in Agra instead of 10 pm at 1 am. Nevertheless the pick up arranged through the hotel worked out well. The room was really big, nice furnished and perfectly clean. The AC was also working well. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic: coffee, fresh fruits and juice, toast, masala omelet, parathas with some tasty pickles etc. Mr Burman and his staff helped us with all we could wish, even we didnt asked for anything. For example he arranged for us the train tickets for the next day or gave us advices for our stay in Agra. And all this without being pushy! We felt very welcomed and think that the ratio between the value for the money could not been better. We would definitely come back and recommend it to all.

It was a very lovely stay”
We only stayed for one night as we only have 3 nights in India. The owner of this hotel is very very kind and made us feel very welcomed to his home. All the staffs there are also very very friendly and helpful. It is a great team. The room was spacious, the shower was roomy and very very refreshing after a stressy train ride as we missed our planned ticket time due to heavy snow so we just have to hop on one. The hotel locates on a side street of the main street but their are taxis everywhere but it is way better to let the staff at the hotel to arrange one for you. Even for attractions, they will arrange it also for a very good reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

This was my first home stay ever ! Amazing”
Am amazingly warm and wonderful experience for my wife and I. From the time we arrived we were made to feel like this was our home and whatever we needed or wanted the staff and owner went out of their way to provide for us. This was my first home stay ever in my life and I must say that they have set a very high standard for my wife and I. The staff are friendly and very engaging and every morning we awoke to the most amazing India breakfasts. All our enquires were answered and the staff were very customer focused. The owner invited my wife and I to try some local India deserts on our last evening which was memorable experience. Highly recommend this home stay to anyone and if you have any doubts you will not be disappointed.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Burman and his manager made us comfortable from the moment we were met at the station. They organised our visits including transport and guides and advised us on what we should expect to pay them too (one of the greatest difficulties we faced during our stay elsewhere in India) . They provided excellent lunches and dinner and Burman who is clearly a real enthusiast for the opportunities available to tourists in Agra was a mine of information on Indian culture, religion and history which made our mealtimes a very pleasurable experience. On the day we left they even allowed us extended use of a room because our onward train was late.
