Bao'an District hotels & places to stay

Good place to stay if in the Bao'an and Nanshan area, abit of travelling ( about 1 hour) to Futian and Luohu districts. 5 mins walking to the nearest metro station. Only downsize is cigarette stench passed through the air-conditioning system from inconsiderate guest on the same floor despite asking for a smoke free floor. Hotel staff promptly knocked on their doors when informed. This happens often in China anyway.

we booked business twin room, room size is ok, front desk staff just so so, asked them about the in room wifi, they only allow to input pw by them (take your phone), but refuse to give you the pw, when we were in the room, wifi is no reception!! even data card (by our own) also no reception, maybe due to the location of the hotel, bfast is terrible. one bright side is, housekeeping react very fast, that is good!

The hotel is located at the centre of many food outlets which cater for many varieties of food ranging from plain to spicy. The price of the standard room is reasonable during low season.The staff are quite polite but do not speak good English. Although the sign " Smoking is prohibated" is displayed in the room, yet the room smelled of cigarette when we moved in. The room given was quite clean and spacious, no complaints about the TV and Air-conditioning. The breakfast was simple and do not have much varieties and coffee not available. However, I don't think that the hotel deserves a 4-star status, a 3-star status is more appropriate.

I stayed for two nights for business. For us, the location was perfect as we had to visit vendors in Bao'An. However, it's quite far out. There's not much around the hotel so you will always need to take a Didi (sort of like Uber in China) or a taxi to get to different places. The service was outstanding, they figured out after one night that I'm a coffee addict and added double what they normally provide together with a nice hand written note. Really thoughtful. The facilities are excellent. The guys at the bar know how to prepare proper cocktails. The gym is amazing! Oh, and the breakfast buffet is also fantastic.

Generally the customer service was 4 and 5 star. Very well spoken english (unlike mine:) Great location with decent eateries. Nice new shopping mall a few mins walk. Good access to Bao'an district for factories etc. About 45 mins to centre by train, but it's all in the adventure of learning. Otherwise, hotel to starbucks/tourist destination just doesnt make sense. I'll be back..actually next week:)

This is a place to stay if you're on a business trip only staying a night in SZ. The complimentary shuttle bus airport transfers made it convenient and an advantage to be staying this close, so we didn't need to rush. The rooms are clean and spacious, and good amenities provided. Decor is modern and practical. There is even an air humidifier in the room. It is a little far from shopping and good restaurants. You need at least 20mins by taxi to get to the nearest shopping district, and beware traffic jams on the way back to the hotel, especially if you're rushing for the airport.

Chose this hotel for proximity to Gushu metro station... and price. Typical budget hotel with clean facilities. If you are a non-smoker be sure to specify non-smoking room though! Bed good and lots of hot water so no complaints about the hotel... what was annoying was the traffic noise. It is situated at an intersection so lots of hooting and tooting. If you are a light sleeper...ear plugs a must. Other than that, staff super friendly...and lots of small shops and eating houses nearby. Would I stay there again...probably, but with ear plugs and advance warnong of non-smoking room...

The hotel is basic and cheap but a reasonable place to stay if you need to be not too far from the airport or the bus terminal. The staff and the manager were all friendly and helpful and had access to someone on the phone if translation was needed. It has only 6 floors and looks basic from the outside but is pleasantly reasonable inside the small lobby and the room. The bathroom is modern with a see thru glass wall to the bedroom, which may or may not be a problem for you. There is a good restaurant across the road with good value lunch.

Hello like I said very good hotel and every thing , just far from city center and other places , close to the airport. One thing I will advice to every travel coming to China or any where in the world just download Google translator app , this will help you 150% to communicate with the people and help you to understand them. Beautiful place China and very secure , I been to all over the world in my life it was first time to Visit China , but like said very secure means if you go out alone even any time of night , you will not be worry. The most camera in the world . Every single block or street is secure with the camera . I loved it. But now very expensive , not wht people say ,at be they talk about 1990s now it's change and in the next few year it will be more and if Chinese people speak English every where then China will be the most expensive place to visit or live. Ming Tien Bao'an Brancha Hotel located at a good location which nearby Bao an airport, about 30 minutes drive from hotel (provided traffic smooth by highway). Taxi also easy to get even 6am in the morning. Room facilities are standard but one thing no good is the room do not provided Wifi. One thing strange is the front desk asked to sign a credit card statement to indicate me check in the hotel so that they can claim back the money from Agoda, which never encounter this situation before.

I had an event at Dingzun Business Hotel's function room, so it made sense to stay there as well. I was impressed by the room quality, the room service and the restaurant. Super friendly staff. One tiny problem. There is one light above the bed that I couldn't figure out how to turn off. I ended up taking the key out of the power slot just so I could sleep in darkness. Apart from that, it was a lovely room.

If you are from USA don't stay here. I allowed my Chinese contact, a 27 year old single male to find me a hotel close to airport. Room is tiny, room is filthy, the street it is on is filthy. The bed is rock hard, a sheet of plywood with a sheet over it. The toilet is inside the shower. No I am not kidding. It was super cheap, that was the attraction for my 27 year old guide. Thank God I only had one night there.

Pros are that you are getting a great price and reliable help at the front desk. Air conditioning is very cool. Being a hostel, you know they deal with mainly international travelers, so they are proficient at accomadating you in English. Better service than places I've stayed 40% more expensive. Mega mall close by. Streets are line with tall tropical trees and small leafy plants and palms. Cons are it's a hike to a metro station. Taxi of ¥11 to get to line 5, but close connection to line 1, which is the main tourist line. I would suggest as an affordable, reliable spot for business travelers touring factories in Bao'an.
