Everything Almost Perfect 9.4/10”
We actually stayed 4 nights from Nov 11 - 15. We were thrilled when we were upgraded. It was our 35th Anniversary - so a lovely gift. Our rustic and romantic Nicobar cottage was cosy, beautifully appointed, had a super comfy bed and pillow, plus hot water on demand. The cottage also had a mini fridge. Our cottage was a 3 min walk to the beach and 1 minute to the restaurant, bar and library loft. There was space between the cottages so we had privacy. A bit more greenery between cottages would make it perfect! Pristine beach. We walked and swam everyday for at least 2-3 hours. it was great to wander through the forest and explore both the beach and forest. At sunset, they serve a special tea on the beach. Plush beach towels and large beach mats are provided - and there was a lifeguard. Food was super. Highly recommend the carbonara (Italian)and a wonderful island dish of prawn curry in a coconut. Breakfast was scrumptious... we combined the western with Indian. The staff from the resort manager to front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and grounds people were very friendly and helpful. The only 3 drawbacks were: 1) the brick on walkways was breaking up so we had to be mindful when walking. 2) while the ambiance of the dining room is lovely, occasionally people were on their mobiles speaking rather loudly as they were watching a cricket game 3) the floor is a beautiful wood, however, 90% of the staff walked briskly with a heavy foot, which was jarring to the ambiance. We plan on returning in March when the weather is better and we can participate in some of the water activities. Highly recommend Barefoot at Havelock.

A resort doesn’t get any better than this.”
This has been one of the very best resorts I have stayed in. It’s location is superb and it is in complete harmony with nature. If you are staying in one of the cottages, you will get the feel of living write inside the forest. You will wake up to the birds chirping and sunlight filtering through the trees straight into your room. Radhanagar beach has to be the best beach I have ever visited. The beach has white soft sand, muddy but clean water and great tree sidelines. The resort has sort of a private access to the beach and it is far away from the public beach. This makes it feel like a private beach. The food was good and the staff was great. Slightly costly but worth it. We are coming for sure :) (The only advise I would give is to turn down the volume during live performance of the singer at bar as it gets too loud and talking to each other becomes impossible.)

A beautiful place to stay”
A real and genuine escape from the busy streets of India. The whole place has been thought trough to the last detail to offer relaxation. The staff are extremely attentionate, very helpful and beautifully welcoming. It was a real joy to visit Barefoot in late February. Our Cottage Villa was burried in the middle of the jungle, serviced regularly, and contained everything we needed. A very short walk every morning to the peaceful breakfast area. The food on offer was nicely varied and of great quality (especially the Havelock fresh fish platter). We booked a massage which was equally relaxing. And the whole experience is enriched by being a 2 minute walk to the stunning Radhanagar Beach No7. Highly recommended for a luxury escape to this beautiful island.

Didn't want to leave!!”
Our family spent 2 nights at Barefoot this March. We were very pleased with the nice cottage room, very friendly staff, and great food!! We wished we had booked more days and didn't want to check out. The resort is very close to the gorgeous Radhanagar Beach which is just a 5-10 minute walk away through a beautiful rainforest with towering trees. We snorkeled on the west end of the beach near Neil's Cove and saw a stunning variety of fish, including a big school of HUGE humphead parrotfish. It was really incredible!! We definitely plan to return. We loved our walks through the jungle, along with swimming and snorkeling on the beach which during the day was practically deserted while we were there. It got much busier at sunset. Thank you to the staff of Barefoot for making our stay comfortable and memorable!!

Spectacular!”
We could not have loved this property more! The location is spectacular- a short stroll through a tropical forest meets you with the loveliest white sand beach. I would recommend strolling past the river crocodile sign (apparently, there have not been sightings for years) to a very private bay. We had many relaxed days there and there is a more shade than on the main beach- the sun is very intense! The staff at Barefoot were so accommodating and friendly, we really appreciate the care they put into all their services. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

Patch of Paradise”
We stayed 6 nights at Barefoot (A/C Tent) and it was a super relaxing stay. We loved the quietness & tranquility of the place and the AMAZING trees and birdlife! The lack of wifi was an extra bonus - it meant you had to stop looking at your phone/laptop and just absorb your stunning surroundings. The beach was spectacular - no one really swam in it, so we were often the only ones swimming! We loved the sunset chai offered on the beach. A big shout out to Christable - she doubles up as the evening entertainment with her beautiful renditions and as early morning yoga instructor. I loved starting the day doing yoga looking out on to the beach and finishing of these sessions, looking up at the beautiful canopy of trees overhead - HEAVEN! The food was good - lots of variety. The staff at the restaurant were all warm and friendly - attentive but never intrusive. The ladies at reception were also super helpful and the housekeeping staff were very good too. We loved our stay!

Paradise”
The location is unique, in the best beach of Asia rated by the New York Times. The huts, jungle cabins, are great. The service is excellent and the food is out of this world. One of the highlights of our trip to India was this Hotel. Totally Recommendable.

Best place ever- Will go back again for sure”
This was heavenly! The place is better than what is shown in pictures and websites. The staff extremely warm and the undisturbed forests along with the virgin beaches with the blue waters is a welcome break at any time.

So close to Nature”
We stayed at Barefoot just for 1N but experience was amazing. Radhanagar beach was just few steps away from our Villa and it does give feeling of private beach set-up. Food was great, Villa interiors were good. We could hear all natural sounds of birds, nocturnal etc.

Barefoot at Havelock Resort is Excellent but avoid The Nest”
If you're looking for a jungle retreat next to fine, tropical beach with impressive forest walks and good snorkelling nearby, this is an excellent place. A few problems: 1. Apparently, the Indian Navy has decided that this is a good beach for them to stage their exercises—on 3 of the 8 days we were there, frigates hovered offshore, landing craft brought commandos and a small tank ashore, and a very noisy helicopter cruised overhead—not good for the otherwise restful environment. 2. the reefs at the two ends of the long beach provide excellent snorkelling but, like so many coral reefs these days, most fo the coral is dead or dying; however, there are lots of colorful fish; 3. Barefoot maintains a guest house in Port Blair where one can stay the night to catch the ferry the next morning on coming to Havelock or catch an early flight on leaving; it is called The Nest; there is no food; indifferent staff; and our bed had bed bugs—we woke with our legs covers in bites; avoid The Nest.

Exceptional”
We loved Barefoot, it was just beautiful. If there was one thing I would recommend would be some shade on the beach. A few thatched umbrellas maybe, keeping with the theme. Just too hot to spend any length of time there without getting “cooked” otherwise perfect

Expensive but (generally) worth it”
Well managed. Superb staff. Lovely beach. Great accommodation. Environmentally sound. Internet to the Andamans is currently awful; hence getting useful info in advance proved difficult. Food is of variable quality. Expensive, but generally worth it, except for alcohol prices which are out-of-sight.

Exceptional”
It was a different experience staying in the cottage & tent, with no TV, Wi-Fi etc. Which was good. The location was just fabulous right on Radhanagar white sand beach. Staff was very helpful and their food throughout was exceptional.

Amazing”
We booked this place in last minute deal. This is located exactly on Radhanagar beach. Such a beautiful resort. Very clean and neat. The only problem we faced was internet. But it is all over the island. Humble and polite staffs. We enjoyed our stay there. Even though its bit costly its worth it.

Go for the class and location”
Pros - The property is on radhanagar beach. Probably the best beach of Andaman. Also, the ambience of the property inside the jungle was awesome. Employees were very good and professional. Have good restaurant and bar. Very calm & peaceful. Perfect for a beach holiday. Cons - Very boring in the night. No on-room dining facilities. No internet in the room. Some insects come inside the room which is very disturbing.
