Excellent Hotel”
I love this hotel so much.I really felt like home.Everyone was super friendly...from the front desk,restaurant and room service.The hotel is centrally located.Out of the hotel and you can already start shopping.Everything is just in front of your eyes.The food in the non vege restaurant was superb and affordable.The staff in the restaurant was really friendly.I met a staff there in the non vege restaurant but I forgot his name.he told me that he is going home to meet his family in Kanyakumari.he was really superb and friendly.Loved the stay there.Planning to come to Chennai again and will definitely stay here again.All of us loved it.Will also recommend it to my friends.Thanks to all the staff from BKR.

For those who love Shopping”
We stayed this hotel from 9th - 12th of May 2015. Our stay was pleasant and memorable. The Hotel is placed in a very convenient location in the heart of T. Nagar. It's just 4 mins. walk to Saravanas Selvaratnam Retail Stores and about 6-9 mins. walking distance to The Chennai Silks & Pothys. The only complaint that we have is that we lost about 9000/- (Sri Lankan Rupees) which was in a wallet in my wife's handbag left on the chair (inside the room), on the day that we checked out. I had specifically requested the House Keeping staff, not to clean the Room, and told that we will be checking out that morning. In spite of my request, I found that the room was cleaned. We found a (pink colored) folded paper inserted into the card slot to switch the lights on. We also found a receipt that was kept in my wife's handbag lying on the chair where the handbag was left. We never suspected about any theft since its a reputed hotel. However,after landing in Colombo, on our way from the Airport we needed some local currency for some purchases, that is when I found that the cash is missing (A SLRs. 5000/- note and four 1000/- notes). Although it's a small amount, I feel that I must keep the future guests aware, in order to avoid such situations. It may not be the fault of the Hotel Management. This information will at least help them find out the culprit, by checking the CCTV footage as to who had entered the room while we were away. Other than that it's a very place to stay.

My stay at the BKR grand was fairly good, the rooms were clean and comfortable the buffet vegetarian breakfast was good for Indian standard. The front desk staff Anand and Lavanya were very helpful in amendment of my booking date.There were two things I was not satisfied one there was WiFi signal not very strong. Nice hotel to stay....

Great location and amazing staff”
We were back in Chennai for 3 days of shopping for our wedding and this location was the perfect spot. Located in between all the major malls for Sarees in Chennai . Furthermore the staff were really hands on with everything we needed and it just felt like a safe hotel for all the valuable things we were leaving in our room. Kudos to the guys from the reception for ordering us food at 11.45 p.m after a grueling shopping day. Jevin

The stay was marvelous. The hotel location is very strategic to the most shopping location around Chennai. The breakfast was good. But the hotel could improve it with add more varieties to it. Room provided was clean and comfortable. The water is dirty in the morning. Otherwise its a pleasant stay at BKR.

tayed for one night at the bkr grand. over all my stay was good. the lobby was large and simple but nicely done up. the staff at the reception was courteous and help full. the room was not big but was small or congested. it was just comfortable and very clean. lcd tv along with split a/c and refrigerator were part of the room facility. toilet was clean. service was reasonably good and food too was was of good quality in taste. for breakfast they do not have a buffet spread but give you two dishes of your choice from the 6 dishes in south indian veg they have along with tea/ coffee served in traditional south indian style of steel glass. there is massage chair in lobby for guest free of cost. location is good specially for those who want to do some shopping. the only negative point which goes against this hotel is that excepting 2/3 channels rest all are south indian channels. i wish the management of the hotel realizes that they have guests from other parts of the country and being in hospitality industry they should provide amenities for guest comforts and providing popular hindi,english,sports and news channel is is providing amenity for guest and consequently improvement in their business and reputation.

We stayed for two days. Conveniently located. Walking distance to shops like pothys, chennai silks and kumaran silks. I just buy things and when the load gets heavy, walk back to hotel to put and then go back shopping again. We booked a car from the hotel to airport and the price was reasonable.

Nice Hotel and Excellent Service ”
We had a good stay. Rooms are clean and the restaurant and room service were good. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. The Travel desk was also very helpful and fast for arranging transport and tours. Will book in the same hotel again when visiting Chennai in future. Will also recommend friends and relatives. Our stay here was really great!The location of the hotel is central to the shopping area!The location is excellent and the hotel's restaurant also served really good food all day. The room was really spacious and accomodated all four of us really well. We would definetely choose this hotel again for our stay the next time we are in Chennai!

BKR Grand has lost its grandeur”
I first came here in 2013 through a travel agency in malaysia..At that time this place was well kept..rooms were neat...food was good....location was awesome.. When i came back in 2015..i had no second thoughts of where to stay...since it was located at the heart of chennai...everything was walking distance.. Unfortunately, i recently came back on august 2017 for a short stay..i was rather surprised to see that the place wasnt as well kept as before..the souveneir shop had closed..the lobby appeared like an antique shop..the tables were broken..the sofa was torn..no more bkr sweets..the rooms were not as neat as i expected...there was a bad smell coming from the corridor near my room..the free breakfast provided was the same menu everyday..i felt that the amount paid for the room was just disproportionate.. I really hope that BKR can regain back its grandness..no doubt the location and the friendly staff are the plus points to stay here..but overall i will not recommend this hotel, unless if it was for a short stay spending most of your time shopping or sightseeing..

My stay at the BKR grand was fairly good, the rooms were clean and comfortable the buffet vegetarian breakfast was good for indian standard but not for international standard. There were two things I was not satisfied one there was wi fi in the hotel but they are charging the guest I believe they should not charge, anywhere else in the world is free. Second is the front office reception gave the same room keys to another guest who were three women entered my room while I was sleeping, it is not the mistake of the ladies but the hotel, I was really annoyed and agitated by this event, otherwise my stay was good.

Quick shopping week in Chennai”
Great hotel if your main purpose in Chennai is shopping - the major Saree houses (Nalli silks, Pothys, Chennai Silks) are all within a 5 minute walking radius of the hotel, with Pondy Bazaar also walkable (or a cheap auto ride away). It is the only mid range option in this area (the luxury hotels are further away) and there are a few cheaper lower budget options around the place as well. "Breakfast" is a limited affair - standard local offerings from the buffet, you can order other things (but are extra). The hotel restaurant is on the pricier side for standard south indian food - but is clean and convenient. Quite a busy hotel - so it can get loud in the corridors, thankfully the road is not too busy at night (no honking horns!), so you can sleep well. Staff are generally all polite and willing to help. House keeping is available - but make sure you call them if you want your room serviced.

The BKR Grand is a good place to stay. Not fancy, not expensive - good, clean, and in a handy location near shopping areas and a night market. It was fairly noisy as my room was on a main road, but that did not bother me - I enjoyed the energy of lots of people and traffic.
