The stay was too good. Since the owners stay downstairs the communication had become easy. No complaints. The support staff was helpful. You can order food over a call and since the place is well known the delivery wont take time. The bike rentals is even available at the same place.

Very clean, comfortable bed”
*Pros* : Located in a quiet neighborhood, 3 minutes walking distance from the main market (Aberdeen Market, clock tower) and only 3 KM from the airport. Great view of SC Bose Island and the bay from the terrace where you get a refreshing sea breeze all day; nice place to sit in late evenings to have a drink and dinner. SUPER CLEAN rooms and common sitting areas. Our room had a small kitchen with kettle, bowls, plates and tea/coffee and a separate sitting room with TV and sofa chairs. Host is happy to store items like milk in their refrigerator for you. Comfortable, rubberized coir mattress which keeps cool. Shower has a good pressure. Friendly, helpful staff. Food is prepared in house with fresh vegetables plucked from their own garden, far better than even the posh restaurants in town. Reverse Osmosis purified water is provided free. Hotel staff (Amol) arranged our very early morning transport to the ferry. *Cons* : No elevator. Mosque next door say their prayers several times a day on loud speakers which I found a bit disturbing to the otherwise serene atmosphere.
Mixed Feelings”
I have mixed feelings about my stay. First, this is not a proper hotel. There is no reception, front desk or even an office. The hotel is owned by the family that lives here and they run operations from the stairwell in front of their door. My booking was supposed to include a welcome drink, which was not offered. Express Check-in which is a joke , free wifi that did not work, and free drinking water that we had to pay for. There is no restaurant on the premise so the "free breakfast" has to be ordered the night before and then it is brought in plastic bags and newspaper in the morning. The toilet in our room had not been cleaned prior to check-in and when we informed the hotel it was after 6pm and the cleaning lady had gone home. It took over an hour to get someone to come and clean the toilet and this only after I asked for the cleaning supplies so I could clean it myself. The balcony is beautiful and has an amazing view. BUT guests eat their dinners here and drink a lot of alcohol. since there is no cleaning person after 6, the mess from these meals is left on the tables until the next day. So it's hard to enjoy the beauty in the mornings when surrounded by dirty dishes and empty beer cans. However, the staff were super friendly and the location was supreme. The rooms were good and the Air Con worked great. I might stay here again but would look at other options before just booking straight away.

The room was impeccably clean and tidy, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. What impressed us the most was the great value for money offered by this homestay. It exceeded our expectations in terms of affordability without compromising on quality. Highly recommended for a pleasant and budget-friendly stay in Port Blair!
