Conveniently located across from the Arrival Hall. Just a short walk across to the hotel makes it super easy to get to. Quite expensive for an overnight stay though.

Best choice for layovers ”

We arrived in JNB at 9pm and had an onward flight at 10am the next day. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the main terminal. As soon as you walk out you will see it. Check in was quick. Room was very comfortable. We used the gym on the roof top in the morning which was well equipped and clean. Nice view of planes taking off. The hotel arranged for a porter to take our bags to the terminal the next day and check us in. Very friendly and warm. It is definitely more expensive than some of the other choices but well worth it.

Nice gym, steam room and pool. Good food and drink at the restaurant with excellent breakfast.

Comfy room with large beds. Right next to the airport with only a few minutes walk. Convenient even with luggage. Great service and hospitality. Easy to grab an Uber to head out for a meal.

If you have a short stop over in Johannesburg with no need to go into the city, the the InterContinental Hotel at the airport is perfect.

The hotel was great and location perfect, the only downside was that our late check-out was very expensive, but it was much better than sitting in the airport for five hours.

Best airport hotel”

I travel a lot. For work and fun. Have stayed in a number of airport hotels. This hotel stands out as the best airport hotel I have ever stayed in. Location is perfect. Seconds from terminal exit. Rooms are a good size and wondefully set up. Pool deck is small (no laps) but works well for a refreshing dip. Food is world class. The in house Quills restaurant is a stand alone, top class restaurant. Finally, staff were attentive and eager to help in all areas.

I had a great stay. Hotel is very nice. Amazing staff. Gabriel the driver took me around JoBerg for 4 hours and it was amazing. Best airport hotel I have ever stayed in.

Perfect location for the airport”

We only stayed here one night as a stopover before flying home. However, would highly recommend anyway.. The hotel was in excellent condition and our room was spacious. Had dinner in the Quill Grill which was superb.mbuffet breakfast was also excellent and main course cooked fresh and came hot. Heated indoor pool is only 10m, but was Ok for some early morning exercise. Also 24 hour gym and spa which we did nt have time to try. Very short, but enjoyable stay.

We arrived at 7am after a 13 hour flight and loved the fact we only had to walk out of arrivals and across the road into the hotel. We had asked for early check in if possible and were eternally grateful that they had our room ready. We needed that hot shower and lovely bed. We had one night on the way to Kruger and a night before heading back home at the end of our holiday. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel who were so professional and friendly, they really made the visit!! Staying at the hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed it so much we are coming back at the end of the year and making a stay here part of our relaxing holiday!

Intercontinental Johannesburg OR Tambo”

I only had an overnight in JoBurg, enroute to Windhoek. I did not want the hassle of the buses to other airports nor the long haul to try to find the "transit" hotels. The Intercontinental is perfect. Just get your bags, exit the building and walk to the hotel. Check in was easy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Internet was complimentary. Room was clean and adequate. A bit small but nice. Excellent coffee and good facilities in room. Ice provided without asking. Overall, a very good stay.

This is a wonderfully located hotel, no shuttle bus required. Check in was prompt and efficient. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. A lovely room to have a shower and get some shut eye before my next flight onwards.
