Helpful staff if you need something-Staff become warmer the longer you are in the hostel. Really nice hostel, really clean, good beds-comfy! Really good selection for free breakfast. Location is good- near the airport and good bus links to explore the island.

Such a cute hostel with nice interior. Super clean, good breakfast, great value. The private rooms are really nice with en-suite bathrooms and the public spaces are great too - fresh pots of coffee, ice machine, cosy seating etc. Good recommendations from the staff as well.

Only stayed one night just before flight out of Jeju so didn't get to experience the property to its fullest. However, there was a really nice atmosphere to the place. The breakfast was a nice bonus particularly as you could cook your own eggs! Any one interested in the gym, there is a great one around the corner. 10,000 Won per visit and dumbles up to 40kg (One set of 50kg) Negatives: two toilets between all the guests on the ground floor.

Difficult overall experience”

I would rather not post too many details about my subpar experience at Rainbow in Jeju. There is a plethora of preferable budget and mid-range accommodation options located in much safer neighborhoods of Jeju City. If safety is one of your considerations while traveling, it would be best to steer clear of Rainbow in Jeju.

Negligent staff”

Rainbow in Jeju is located in a tough neighborhood down a dark alley in the old part of Jeju City. The staff accommodated my request to store one of my bags past the check-out time but neglected to care for it. When I returned later at night to retrieve my bag, it had been ransacked and most items had gone missing. There was no security at all, as the door was completely open and the bag sitting in open view for any passersby on the street to easily see (and totally out of sight of the staff). When I asked the staff why the door was left wide open, they replied that there had been some type of "guest accident" occurring earlier in the day. So I wasn't the only guest to have a difficult experience. No rainbow at Rainbow in Jeju; that's for sure!

The staff are very cheerful, accommodating, efficient. They replied to my questions promptly and even allowed me to keep my big luggage with them before my check-in. The hostel ambiance is homey, clean and spacious.
