We stayed in the family suite and was surprisingly very spacious. No discount applied for dining or for their famous Sunday brunch($70 per person). Water pressure in shower was horrible and was told that's how it is. Honestly the worst part of it was the additional $18 daily accommodation fee and $25 daily parking fee. It's a great place to visit for an afternoon however I wish I would have stayed elsewhere for what I paid to be there. It just wasn't worth it and will never consider staying there again.

Great Experience - Spoiled by Bad Service”

Beware - Extras added to your bill - Reception - Bar - Restaurant staff all very poor - Nobody smiling - very mundane - Restaurant Staff very slow - Sorry but cannot say a good thing about the staff other than security

Great experience onboard the ship. Well worth at least a night. Make sure you ask for the AC to be turned on in your room or you will roast.

Unbelievable experience”

Staying on QM feels like a privelidge. The ship is breathtaking in parts. The state room in which we stayed was like stepping back in time. Some of the areas of the ship need some attention as they are getting scruffy. If you have disrespectful neighbours at night can be noisy as obviously the engines no longer mask any noise. Generally though a great experience. Thouroughly recommended. Car parking is $22 per day.

Not worth it - rich history thats all”

I came here because I travelled on the current queen mary.... i can understand it being old.... but at least refurbished it to better standards or something like the oriental express, old but good. The bath tub has a curved base making standing extremely difficult and I would not recommend it for elderly passengers...a total OHS issue. old fashioned taps or fashioned stuff, must be able to perform its tasks.. Air conditioned cannot be operated in the room itself, you have to call up reception who will then informed the engineer and the temperature will kicked in after 20 mins...... Rooms are large size, but doubt I will return to it........

The atmosphere is really cool, but be prepare for extra fee which is no any word when you book with Agoda (25 dollars for night parking your car and 18 dollars for using gym, printing your boarding pass etc. even if u don’t need such services, you can’t refuse them😬

Queen Mary Stay”

It was lovely to stay on the Queen Mary and ponder those who have stayed there before prior to WWII. The meal on the boat was memorable and we would stay there again.

Faded elegance”

For anyone with an interest in the golden days transatlantic travel and the great shipyards of the Clyde this is a must. It is a shame that more of the ship is not open to the public and that many areas are only acessible if you book (and pay for, of course) one of the many tours available. Food and beveredge prices are predictability high. All said credit to those who had the vision to preserve such an iconic ship and keep her open to the public.

I planned a week getaway (different city and hotel along the coast for 6 nights) and this is by far, the Best hotel I’ve stayed! You’ll never be bored as there is so much to do and observe! Beautiful Ship!!! Highly recommended.

Staying in a historic Great Liner”

The two nights were enjoyed strolling the decks and visiting the restaurants and lounge as it would've been 70 years ago. The rooms were the original furnishings and fixtures in the bathroom. The stateroom was large and comfortable although the walls were thin .... but original. We would highly recommend a stay on the ship!

Enjoyable trip in to historical nostalgia ”

To step into the past of nostalgia is a part of the Queen Mary. One can almost imagine the conversation and beauty of an era long gone. If you delight in experiencing history and a view of the past- you would enjoy the Queen Mary. It is not showing the height of opulence but the results of time. Bed was very comfortable - but bring ear plugs- due to the metal walls you can hear other staterooms extremely well. Also bee aware there is a $16 surcharge that is added to bill at checkin. They are remodeling so to my sadness the tea room is gone. I had wanted to enjoy it. Walking the decks and viewing exhibits was enjoyable and recommended. Room service was delicious and accommodating. If you desire modern look and perfection- you will not want to stay. However if you like the nuances of history mixed with modern conveniences , then stay!

Grand old lady”

The Queen Mary is historical and provides that ambience. Clean but ageing. Service is first class. All types of eating and drinking areas. Get lost in the physical on-board. Perfect location for Long beach activities or Pre/Post cruise closeness.

Noisy”

There was a very loud concert outside of the hotel. Nothing to do with the hotel, I suppose, but because there is not as much but wren the wall of the ship and the outdoors we could hear the blaring music that went on well past midnight.

Over night stay last weekend of "Chill"”

I was good, but felt the restaurants were overpriced for the type of foods available.Also, the Stack store was posted as opening for 9a.m. on Sunday, but I waited around until 10 and no one ever showed up.

Iconic Hotel but freezing cold”

We have wanted to stay on this ocean liner for a long time, finally we made it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. The hotel was freezing cold, food mediocre and Champagne Sunday brunch was very disappointing. Glassware filthy, staff dressed in rags and holes in the tablecloths. We sat in overcoats as it was so cold. The walls of the cabins were paper thin, could hear conversations either side of us. However, we still enjoyed the history of the ship.

Overnight Stay”

the room was dark and smelly, the fitoout was very average. I was not impressed by the extra charges per room that were added on once we had checked in - these were advertised at the desk and not before we booked. We had two standard rooms, perhaps there are more expensive luxury rooms but I would not stay again.

a cruise without ever leaving the port”

I have never been on a cruise and have been sight seeing on the Queen Mary many times growing up but never stayed in the hotel. My boyfriend and I booked a room and it was so amazing. The moment you walk in you have that feel of walking on a great ocean liner from the past like the Titanic. The romantic quarters and elegance of the ship was so breath taking. We walked the ship at night and the city lights were beautiful. The food was amazing and well priced. There is so much to do on the Queen Mary that you never have to leave the ship and will never run out of things to do. They are close to the Aquarium of the Pacific and Many boat tours. I had the most amazing time and will definitely go back again.

Best Hotel I've Stayed In”

When I booked my room at the Queen Mary, I was a little apprehensive as it seemed to be a bit of a risk. What a pleasant surprise. The hotel is just an experience in the history. The rooms are decent, by all measure, but the experience really can't be matched.
