Cheap and cheerful in great location”
Stayed only one night but will definitely stay again next time I'm in Berlin. Very clean hotel in a lovely neighbourhood. Tucked away inside a courtyard, it's super quiet and peaceful. Very safe area. Also very convenient, with the U6 and surface tram just around the corner. Lots of affordable food options also nearby. Very hip shopping and bars within 10 mins walking distance east of the hotel. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Excellent value for the money. I love how affordable Berlin is! I've stayed in places three times as expensive and not even as nice in other cities such as Macau, Hong Kong, and Paris. Berlin is a European gem and the Calma is a fantastic little hotel :-)

Surprisingly Great Stay!”
This hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the city center and surrounded by restaurants and little marts. It is brand new--we could even smell the fresh paint on the wall. It has satellite TV and the room was quite spacious. The cleaning staff was on top of their game and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 12euro. We were able to store our luggage with them for free after our check out which was most helpful as we had a train ride later that day. It was about 5k from the main train station but a tram about 100 meters away from the hotel which got us there in about 10 minutes time. Loved the security of this hotel and it's quaintness. Would stay here again and would highly recommend it for a budget hotel in Berlin!

Friendly, quiet and superbly locatd”
An early check-in allowed me to drop my bags and refresh after travel, and still have time to explore the city -- helped by some excellent advice on a walking route by the hotel reception. The room itself was simple and tastefully decorated, with good light, and very comfortable bed and desk. A spotless bathroom. Since I had only a short time in Berlin, it was ideal as a 'base' -- with some well-planned walking routes and a few quick tram rides, I was able to pack in a lot. The hotel is set back from the street, and though it was too rainy to use the courtyard, the quiet was apprecaited.

Neat refurbished hotel with great staff in the heart of Berlin.”
We stayed in this hotel for 3 days while looking at the sights and attractions around Berlin and could not have been happier. The hotel has new carpet and paint and is located in a quiet location close to everything. There is a great number of eating and drinking establishments close by especially Sammy bar at Gambrinus Restaurant near the tram stop on Linienstrabe. The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helped us with all the information a tourist could want from things to see and how to reach airports etc. Highly recommend this hotel.

Comfy room and clean hotel. Great breakfast. ”
Cons: parking situation is horrible. Took us an hour to find a place to park late one night. Hotel is not easy to locate from the street. Drove by a couple times before seeing the signage. Don’t get a room overlooking the street. It was very noisy all night long with pedestrians and traffic. Pros: excellent staff. Great breakfast. Lots of restaurants and night life in the area. Close to most historical areas in Berlin. Pricing was reasonable.

Fantastic hotel”
Hotel is located in a quiet street in a quiet courtyard yet it is perfectly located in Mitte. Close to great bars, cafes and restaurants plus walking distance to undergrounds, museums and shops. The staff are friendly, speak English and are very helpful. The room was spotless, great bed and nice, modern bathroom with good shower plus hairdryer! Can't fault the hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

Nice hotel with easy transport links”
I walked past the hotel initially as I didn't spot the sign, and the building is set back from the road in a courtyard. Check in was easy, and the room was clean and comfortable. The reception is closed overnight, but guests are given a key to the night door, which also gives access to the lift and staircase. Breakfast was not included in my stay, and the info card in my room said it was about 14 euros, which seemed a little high. Easy to walk to museumsinsel andnother sights, and there werebus, train and tram stops nearby forlonger journeys. Would stay again if returning to Berlin.

long weekend in Berlin”
Calma Berlin was exactly what we hoped it would be. It was modern and stylish, clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for us- it was within 15-20 mins walk of the majority of the main attractions that Berlin has to offer. There are plenty of amenities near by without having the noise of a busy city. Would definitely recommend.

Good for a night”
We just needed a clean comfortable place to crash for the night and leave early the next morning. Calma was good for it. It's near a lot of restaurants and cafes and the Ubahn station which was great! Room was a bit warm for summer, so the fan was much appreciated! There is some construction happening in the area and the room is along the street so it can get quite noisy. But if you arrived late and left early like us it shouldn't be a problem. Bonus for the firm mattress, minus for the bedlinen that smelt unwashed. Staff was professional and check in was quick and efficient.

Pros: quiet street in central location; spotlessly clean and spacious room; good quality and choice of complimentary toiletries; powerful shower. Cons: acoustics of hotel meant that noise from neighbours returning in middle of night/early morning wasn't great.

Very good”
The hotel is really good located close to a U-bahn station, museums, shopping etc. The room was clean, the breakfast good and the personal very nice and helpful. The room we got was extremely small with a very small bed and the shower in a closet and the only electricity plugs just above the bed, which meant that we were entangled in chargers from phones, ipads etc while sleeping.

Exceptional”
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, huge room. The free coffee and tea available by the reception till late evening was definitely a bonus. Cons: The shower cabinet is way too small. No electric kettle or fridge in the room, though we did get an electric kettle on request once one was available.

Over rated hotel”
I did not enjoy my stay at the Calma. The closet -rooms size rooms are not comfortable in the least. Why have TV in the rooms if you can't even have a French , or English station ..what's the point in having an in room tv. . As you are catering to tourists. I also found some staff very unfriendly.

Comfort room and friendly staff”
The staff were very nice and warm welcome. Room is quite big and clean. Internet wifi in the room should be free to attract more customers. Breakfast was fine for the cost of 12€ but it could be better. It's close to subways and few sightseeing spots.
