City Center hotels & places to stay

The hotel is located within the city centre. It was spotlessly clean and daily maid service was available without having to ask for. The room was quite spacious with a nice view to the sea from the 9th floor. It was fitted with a desk, a seating area, a kettle and a small fridge, the bathroom had a hair dryer and a seperated shower. They offered breakfast for free, even though it was not included in the extraordinary low rate I paid with agoda. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they let me store my bicycle inside the hotel. I stayed 3 days and if it hadn't already been sold out I would have stayed even longer. The value for the money was really outstanding there and among the best of all of my stays in 3 months altogether travelling in Malaysia!

Reasonably cheap among other 3 Stas Hotel in Kuala Terengganu. Breakfast spread is good and tasty. Nasi Dagang is MUST TRY, really delicious and texture is very soft. More than enough varieties to fuel up. The GM En. Kamal is very polite and attentive. Spacious room & and comfy bed with 4 pillows. Better than some 5 stars hotel mattress. No unwanted odor. Ala carte menu food is relatively cheap among hotels and big portion. If dine in at the cafe will get 20% discount. Good location. 24 hours mart & self laundry service within walking distance. Halal Muslim restaurant just in front of the Hotel entrance. Less than 3km to attractive place (Pasar Payang, Dataran Shahbandar, River Cruise, Drawbridge). # Management should improve the cleanliness of the toilet, especially bath curtain. Indoor pool abit murky, maybe due to kids not wearing swimsuit. Please check room 1010, toilet bowl has to flush few times before it fully cleaned. Other than this,all are perfect. Highly recommended.

We were in Kuala Terengganu due to my brther in law Passing Out Parade at Akademi Bomba Wakaf Tapai. We reached Kuala Terengganu on 3/5/13 around 4.00 am from Johor Bahu and luckily we had booked this hotel earlier. This is the 2nd time we stay here and Ming Paragin Hotel & Spa gives the best service. An easy access location to the City, clean hotel, friendly staff and the best thing is comfortable bed. As guest, we can enjoy Spa and Jacuzzi at the top level and this can make us feel relax after the long journey. My mum and sisters enjoyed their spa activity. I felt satisfied because it near to Pasar Payang and I have spent much time for Shopping. So, Ming Paragon Hotel & Spa is the best place to stay in Kuala Terengganu.

I was suprise with this reasonably priced hotel. Service & quality of a 3 star hotel but very cheap price. The rooms were spacious, cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable.Even the bathroom was so clean with strong water pressure. Wifi is free in rooms and the room has LED tvs, wallpaper on the wall and nice scenery of the city. Thebreceptionist and cleaners were always smiling abd greeting us all the time. Check in and out was smooth and they even helped us carry our luggage to our room. Location is perfect. It is near Syahbandar Jetty to Pulau Redang (4 minutes by walk), Pasar Payang is a minute away by walk, here we enjoyed local breakfast.The main bus station is 2 minutes by walk. Alot of eateries and cafes, banks,money changer and shops around the hotel. China town is less than 5 mins by walk. The hotel also sells snacks and drinks at a very cheap price. This is a very good hotel to stay in, feels like home and I would always come back and stay here and recommend this place to everyone.

The location of the hotel was strategic whereby it is located just few minutes drive from the city center. There are many eateries just nearby the hotel. Launderette, small pharmacy and 7-eleven are also nearby. I made reservation for standard room. The room was small, just enough space for you to move around. The room is equipped with basic amenities i.e. towel, shower cream n syampoo, kettle and iron board (but no iron provided). The drawback is that the hotel does not have its own private parking.

Pros: - Cheap - In city center - 12pm checkout - Lift (but not sure working or not, i used stairs) - Hot shower works fine - Spacious room for single bed (im solo traveler) Cons: - Checkin at 2pm - Very very noisy (bring along your headphone for comfort sleep at night) - Towel not so clean. Dark spot everywhere..bring your own! - Just been given small bar soap, no shampoo or whatsoever - Cozy room but looks old - Doors seems not so secure. I always bring along my stuff when going out - No water heater for drink/glass (didnt expect this tho)

I was really satisfied during my 2 nights stay at the KT Beach Resort. I've been staying in this hotel for more than 3 times and this hotel is my first choice everytime i travel to Kuala Terengganu. Good Location. The room is fine but they don't served any breakfast. You cannot expect too much from this hotel as it is a 2 stars hotel. But the money that you paid is worth for this hotel. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. However, my advice to those who are traveling with the young kids to call this hotel in advance as to request a room located at downstairs because they don't have lift to go up. It is kind a walk up hotel. Although it is only 1 floor up but still dangerous to your kids.

Last year we stayed in a budget triple room, it was good for a one-night stay but we didn't really fancy the shared toilet/shower concept. This time around we booked a deluxe triple with attached shower/toilet. Price was good for the room we stayed in. Toilet/shower was recently renovated, could even smell the cement. Super clean. The room itself was clean, carpeted floor, bed was comfortable. We got the city/street view and could see the KT drawbridge towers from our window. We don't watch TV so we don't really mind if there's no TV/satellite channels. They have refrigerator and hot/cold water dispenser on the 1st floor. My only complaint is that they should provide the fridge and water dispenser on each floor. We stayed on the 2nd floor so it is quite a hassle to walk downstairs every time we want to get hot water for our coffee. Location is perfect. Room amenities are basic and sufficient. Overall it was an enjoyable stay for a 3D2N stay in KT.

I do feedback for some cleanliness issue and they have call me right back checking further .The room is spaces , facilities,service provided like 4 star hotel.Definetly worth for the price .The room definitely over my expectation for the price giving .The host also giving me suggestion how to play & eat in kuala terengganu.I can feel the warm & sincere from this Hotel .

The hotel is very close to the airport and bus station. Perfect for people stopping over before heading to islands. The rooms are very clean and they provide fresh towels and soaps etc. They also will take your laundry off-site for you to get done at cheap price. Their sister hotel down the road has a travel agent and offers better prices on boat transfers. I recommend not booking ahead for island accommodation unless very peak season.

I had check through many reviews about different hotel in KT for just 1 night. Finally decided to book 1 triple room at KT Chinatown Lodge. They've upgarded us to Quad room which just nice for my family (3A2C) . In fact i got this info from owner through Agoda few weeks ago. It was the first time that i received such info before we arrived at the hotel. Usually hotel wont tell u until u arrived. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They really go extra miles to assist their guest. The noise that mentioned by other reviewers is fine for me and it didnt bother me much. My kids can still sleep very well. To me that is the unique point of this small little chinatown and this hotel. Location? Superb! I kinda miss my childhood when we walked along the old and charming street of Chinatown. The room is big and clean. Very suitable for family like us. We left this hotel happily on the next morning and head to Redang Island. We parked our car at the front of the hotel. It is a small private car park cost only RM5 per night. It seems very safe after we compare the one at the jetty side. We dragged our luggage and walked to the Shahbandar Jetty. It was only 5 to 8 mins distance! Very convenient. I will be back for sure if i come to KT again:)

Honestly, exceeding my expectation. For the amount of money that you paid, you get a decent bed in hotel situated at the city center. Got some jobs to do at the local city council here & this hotel is perfect; just within walking distance to go there. It's also near banks & food places. The cable TV also available, albeit few channels, it's enough for me because of sports & movie channels availability.

Located upstairs of Domino's pizza and there is 7-eleven at the same block, so I think the place is safer compared to other places with nearby shops close really early and dark at night. China town and bus station are within walking distance. It is not a big place but the size is just nice! Beds and pillows are very comfortable, there're sockets, hangers, reading lamp and locker (you need to prepare your own lock) next to every bed. Three VERY CLEAN hot water shower rooms/toilet with hair shampoo and body soap provided. Drinking water dispenser (and mugs), Wifi, and even hair dryer are available. You can hear sound of cars from the open dorm because the dorm is closer to the main road. Choose private room or 2 bunk bed dorm if you prefer quiet room ;) Books and board games (and congkak!) available in the common area, good for friends traveling in group. There's an small area to dry your wet clothes if you have any.
