"Hotel Vrindavan is very easy to find. If you come from Agra on the bus then it is about 200-300 metres away from the bus stand where the bus terminates. It has massive signage and a big forecourt to park cars if you are driving. We were met warmly by the manager who checked us in and showed us to our room. We had booked the basic double and, although it had a squat toilet, it was of a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The fan and main light worked throughout our stay despite a few powercuts. The only real problem was the fact it was joined to another room by an internal door and the guests in that room were incredibly loud when they arrived at 11pm and seemed to get up every 2 hours or so to shout at one another! The next night was much quieter and we wouldn't have known the room next door was occupied if we hadn't seen them earlier in the evening. We ate all our meals in Fatehpur Sikri in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be excellent and reasonably priced. I had Delhi Belly (not from the hotel food) and they kindly made me breakfast items at dinner time (this is not always possible in some parts of India). The staff were all very friendly and attentive and always on hand if we needed anything. When we checked out, the manager kindly organised a rickshaw to the highway for us so we could catch a bus to Bharatpur. He also had loo roll for sale which was quite hard to come by in Fatehpur! Overall, a good budget choice and fantastic staff make it a must for visitors to Fatehpur Sikri."
