Harbin hotels & accommodations

smallest hotel rooms outside europe. one of the least expensive hotels we ever stayed in the last 25 years. but it is in the greatest location in harbin if you want to see the ice and snow festivals or walk around the central avenue. the staff are mostly english speaking and beyond helpful. if you stay in hotels to enjoy your hotel rooms or great breakfasts, then d...

I orginally booked this hotel because I wanted to be located in the area of Harbin that is well known for its shopping. The hotel and the district did not disappoint. My room was very comfortable and the staff were polite and efficient. If you are looking for accommodation in Harbin and are interested in the shopping them this htoel is a great choice.

The hotel is beautifully located at the Songhua river and not too far (however, not in walking distance) from the main attractions of the snow and ice festival and the new opera house with its unique architechture. The distance to downtown Harbin is considerable (approx. 10 km). There is a convenient complimentary hotel shuttle service to the two venues of the winter ...

staying here was the icing on the cake for a perfect holiday. this was our first time staying with the shangri la and we loved it. it was very obviously the best hotel option in harbin, head and shoulders above the other accommodation options. worth the price difference given the spectacular views you get (be sure to book a superior room for a guaranteed view) as fo...

I can only highly recommend the hotel to anybody who wants to visit Harbin and want to be in the center close to everything within walking distance. Everything you need is a short walk away. Juky, the Reception Manager was one of the most helpful people I have met in any hotel. She will go above and beyond to help you. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you ...

Went beginning of March to catch the last of skiing season.Stopped in Harbin after Yabuli. The room size is as expected, you can't expect much space if 2 suitcases are opened up but enough room to move. No air condition, rely on opening window. Breakfast included in room rate of 913yuan for 4 days 3 night, consider value for money. Breakfast is only chinese style with a...

The best thing about Kai Rui Hotel is its location, just a short walk to the Zhongyang Dajie (main walking street where great restaurants and shops are). Kai Rui serves very delicious breakfast. Staffs are friendly. The most disappointing is on the weekend when they have more customers, the water supply in shower is disrupted... water became sudden hot and sudden cold ...

The hotel is close to all tourist locations in Harbin, just 200 meters from the famous pedestrian street, where you can find lots of places to eat. I went to the Sun Island by taxi, and it was only 20 rmb to go there. You can also take a ferry or go by cable, but not speaking Mandarin I felt I could save time by taking a taxi. The people at the reception desk were ver...

Staying at the Holiday Inn Harbin City Centre made my stay in Harbin most enjoyable. The Sophia Church is walking distance. Center Street is just across the street where I was able to experience some local food and also do all the shopping I needed for gifts from Harbin. I went to attend the Ice Festival and there is a small Park within walking distance that had sculpt...

This is a great hotel, especially considering the price compared to other equivalent hotels in Harbin. I can't say enough about the front desk manager who upgraded us to a nicer room when they could not provide a non-smoking standard room at check-in...very nice lady. The Cantonese-style restaurant serves great food. And, the buffet breakfast is very good also. The ...

It's a bit far from down town. The traffic in Harbin is pretty bad no matter what time it is. So a taxi ride can be like more than 10 mins to down town. Otherwise everything was great. Spacious room, breakfast changed everyday, various tv channel, towels were fluffy.

The warmth and welcome of the staff is comparable to that of a 5-star hotel. There are a couple of issues with the hostel such as its location (30mins away from the city proper and there’s no nearby Bank of China where currencies can be exchanged but there’s a mall just a block away for groceries) and how hot the room temperature is. But overall, the friendliness of th...

Not in the heart of everything, but good enough that I added more nights, only real kitchen would be nice, microwave yeah no. But plenty of good food places near by, walking distance to most everything. Nice dorm great common areas. Like say a real hostel feeling & staff some no English but still willing to do there best to help

Really nice new hotel, Not in town but 15 min walk to the ice park and loads of other attractions are nearby. Taxi is needed to go anywhere but 20 RMB gets you into town, so still cheaper than an 'in-town' hotel and really great hotel. the rooms are generous and the staff excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay in Harbin. There were a few very nice touches, like being given a plate frozen pears and persimmons on arrival and free coffee all day. The employees at the front desk were extra helpful. When we asked for a recommendation for hot pot, one of them drove us in his own car to a nearby place. I would highly recommend this place, but new couple...

Green Tree Inn provided quite basic accommodation, but was warm and adequate. There were some minor issues with lights not working properly, and some rooms were very small. However, this hotel allows one to stay in Harbin at a small cost in a very central position.

The hotel entrance is not easily accessible from the main road due to road blocks. But in the blocked road, there are many cars parked, so not something I can understand. . But highly suspected that some use it as love hotel as they book for 4 hours. Just as I check in there are ppl enquiring at counter and booking it.

My stay was ok...I was scheduled for the Ice World but there must have been a flub up with Agoda and my room was not booked at Ice World. The staff at Industry College was not helpful at all. I finally did book a room through all the confusion. (The taxi driver dumped us off at the wrong place. It worked out even though it was not where we wanted to be).

For the price paid, the suite was a great value for such a nice sized room. The breakfast room/lounge is nicely decorated and has comfy seating. The staff were all friendly, especially the wait staff in the lounge/bar area: We had purchased the traditional Harbin Sausages and bread for a quick lunch from an outside shop and wanted the sausages warmed up for us so we ...

The address given is correct but the map is misleading. The hotel is just a few steps from airport bus stop in front of Harbin railway station. Facing the railway station , turn right, cross the road, walk for 150 metres and the hotel will be on your right on No. 8 Though not speaking English, staff are all helpful with service mind. Tour staff gave me very useful ...

The hotel is located just next to domestic terminal of the airport. Although the location is quite remote, but the hotel provides a shuttle. it is about 5-7 minutes by hotel shuttle. No taxi available to drop off or pick you . There are some small restaurant near hotel and the food was ok with cheap prices. We spent less than 50 yuan for 4 people (2 adults and 2 ki...

This hotel is one of the famous chain hotel in China. So nothing much to say, i'd say this hotel is good mainly because the price is affordable. The location of this hotel is really nice, you could go to any major Harbin tourist attraction in a convenient way from this hotel, because this hotel has a strategic location.

I am not sure if Agoda does research on some of the places they put up on their website. I have had to forfeit 2 bookings on my current trip. This one being the 2nd because of safety concerns. Firstly, the picture painted on the website is completely different to the actuall place. Secondly, its not even a hotel/serviced apartment. It looks like an abandoned building ...

Great location, in between the main shopping district of Zhongyang Street and Songhua River. Relatively well priced for a hotel in Harbin. However, some of the stuff in the room is rather old and falling apart. Rooms could be kept cleaner. Other than that, a great stay.

Our stay started out a bit shakey as they apparently didn't have our booking. The staff was very calm and helpful as they were throughout the stay, and the problem was sorted. Even though they only have a little English, the were very forgiving of our complete ignorance of Manadarin and we never felt reticent to fumble for help. Though the hotel is a bit run down, t...

I had read about this hotel, (and the famous kidnapping/murder of its owner's son), as a result of some research I had been undertaking, and wanted to experience it for myself, so when a research trip to Harbin was called for, it was inevitable that I would stay here. The hotel is well-placed for anyone who wants to see the few remaining bleached white bones of Imperia...

It was perfect from the moment we touch down in airport. Free airport transfer although had to wait for a fair bit as the cars were delayed due to an road accident. The only glitch was that they gave us a very hot room initially. But changed for us only after 1 hour of communications. The 2nd room was big , spacious and clean. Design was modern. The breakfast was inter...

transport is convenient, can come here by air plane, high speed train and go anyway by taxi. there are metro but location not near tourist place.
first time to visit , have a nice momeries (if we didn't choose Shangri TO live then all will be better)
Great town to visit in the winter. Make sure you prepare for the cold so you can stay out all day. Make sure you visit the snow sculptures, ice castles and the siberian tigers
I really like Harbin. It is not cheap to do all the attractions, as everything costs to get in, but as i thought of it as a once in a lifetime experience I shelled out.
Loved what i saw of Harbin. A growing city with lots of culture that's different from other parts of china.
Harbin looks to be a very modern city -- on the outskirts there are lots of sky rises being built. The shopping malls have high end brands, there are western fast food chains as well.
Zhongyang street is probably the biggest shopping attraction and features a decent amount of stores. The downside is that a lot of the stores don't really have much interesting things to buy.
I found it very cold, but beautiful. Harbin city has taken a negative (the bitter cold) and turned it into a positive with snow and ice sculptures.
Ice and snow festival around december till february are spectacular. the city has great russian heritage and takes the trouble to preserve old historical buildings.
Location, Price, Snow Festival My friends and I visited Harbin for Snow Featival. The price is ok, cheap compared to other countries', a bit high compared to Chineses'.
We came to harbin for the ice and snow show. central street is a nice place to visit and the winter activities on the river are great.
Another huge Chinese city. Obvious Russian influence. Beautiful in summer, exciting in winter. Ice sculptures are main attraction.
Harbin is amazing even it too cold. All of major attractions are fantastic. Starting with walking around St.
Harbin is a modern city, nice building and well system in trafic. When you travel by airport bus, its funny all luaggues need to lock with chain and dont ever loose your key otherwise will be inconvenienced.
A city which has Russian influence so a bit different from the southern part of China. People are friendlier and well mannered.
When you go there in Winter, please wake up and start travelling earlier, because night comes early( at 4PM) and the shopping center and travel spot closes early!
Only time for sight seeing is during the winter. The only reason I recommend staying more then 2 days is because the transportation around town is slow due to severe weather conditions.
cross culture of Chinese-russian, mall close very early here at around 830pm compare to the rest of China cities.
Simple life and friendly locals. Will urge all tourist to respect the local culture and stop vandalising any of the sites you visit.
Harbin is an interesting North-East City of China, It has a lot of Russian influence in their buildings and food.
It's a beautiful city with beautiful architectures and history. Plenty of little restaurants with good food off the side streets on Zhong yang da Jie.
Must visit one of the snow and ice exhibitions. One is enough. Others are about the same. Entrance fees are not cheap.
The traffic in the centre is almost gridlocked all day, not helped by the extensive one way system. Combined with thm 45 km to the airport means at least 1/2 to 1 day will be spent arriving and leaving the city.
It is an average Chinese city except the ice festival - gray, unoriginal and massive. The ice and snow sculptures are really nice, other than that nothing to see actually.
Feeling like walking in Russia with Chinese people all around the city is worth for travelling, building, food and everything are interesting.
The Snow and Ice Festival is something to be seen. We've been to many festivals around the world, and would not hesitate to recommend this one to everyone.
The Snow and Ice Festival is the Highlights of Harbin. See the mammoth cube of ice carved out from Songhe River and delivered to Sun Island and created by Ice Sculptors into Replica of Famous Buildings and Figurines .
Beautiful city with beautiful historical street and buildings. Harbin has different attractions to offer in the different seasons.
Harbin is a fantastic city with many different attractions for different people. Best time to go is in Jan/Feb for the Winter Festival.
Nice city. You need to have enough cloth for warm because it is very cold. It will be better if they can have better taxi service.
