"That was a heavy raining day in Kunming so I decided to stay at the Hostel~ The room is comfy and clean although there s a slightly smelly as my room is closed to the garage outside~ I guess it only happens to Room 105~so I jus closed the window and its fine~ and most of the time I spent on reading book at the Western style Cafe~the atmostphere with the soft music there s welcoming and comfy~I also had my dinner and breakfast there~ abit higher than the average price in towns in China~ however they can handle western cusion well and there had vegiterian choices~which s surprisingly good!"

"We booked 2 rooms and stayed 5 nights. Everything was over expectation. Hotel is well maintained very clean, excellent breakfast buffet with superb view!! Special thanks to the house keeping staffs who cleaned our rooms. Everyday we come back to clean n nicely made up space. Each lady is responsible to clean the entire floor with 15-20mins per room and does a really amazing job. Thank you Rong Liu (41st floor) and Pu Yan Jun (44th floor) !! We recommend Sofitel Kunming any day !! "

"This is one of the best boutique hotel we have stayed in China so far. The location is near to MRT station, tourist spots, shopping and eatery. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Although the too is without air-con due to their local authority restriction, it is still cooling. Although we stayed on Lev 2, facing the road, it is still quite after closing the windows. We fully recommend this boutique hotel to all travelers looking for a affordable stay. "
