Where to stay in Luoyang
Luoyang hotels & accommodations

This is one of the best hotel in Luoyang. The room is spacious with a big king size bed and a sofa bed. We had good sleep for our 5 nights stay over here. The nearest shopping mall is about 10 min walk where you can get McDonald’s and KFC. There are several bus stops at about 300 m walking distance.

The hostel was what I expected. Kind staff who spoke English very well, a spacious room with hot water and heat, and a great location in the middle of ancient Luoyang. The bar area was fun and relaxing and the food was pretty good. It was a little dirty and a little cold and the bed was a board with a pillow-top, but that's just China. Overall, great experience here.

The hotel is fancy, everything new, big rooms, clean... everything you can expect from a great hotel. The staff is nice, always willing to help. We did a late check out and it was free if leaving before 4pm, they took care of searching for transportation to go to Longmen Grottoes, go to the airport etc. I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend stance in Luoyang.

This hotel was great for the price, and the staff downstairs were very friendly while attempting to help me (I don't speak much Chinese). The only complaint I had was that the entire hotel smells of smoke. We got a nice room on the 8th floor. There is a great outdoor beer resteraunt just down the road and you can catch the 2 to the train station where there are buss...

Best bit is the price. Rooms are a reasonable size. The location is pretty good - close to buses & decent lunch/dinner options. However there is nowhere in the area to get coffee let alone a Western breakfast. Some things are indifferent - beds are hard (not unusual in China).Internet was slow going on useless. Generally staff didn't have any English & the weren't thri...

I've stayed in a fair few hotels in China and none come close to this. I've even stayed in '£120 a night' hotels and still doesn't come close to this. My stay in this hotel was the most pleasurable. The room was good with all required facilities. The staff are so kind and always wear a smile and softly spoken. The food in the hotel was tasty and not hefty on the price....

I like everything about the hotel. The room was big and nice and clean. The bed was soft and the bathroom has great shower and bathtub. Even the complimentary soap and shampoo are also excellent. However, the hotel staffs are even bettet than the hotel facilities and amenities. When I landed in Luoyang, the airline lost my luggage and Hyatt's staffs have helped me con...

Real reviews for hotels
Luoyang is our base to many other historical sites including Longmen Grottoes, Guan Lin Temple, White Horse Temple and Shaolin Monastery.
plenty of things to see around Luoyang, The old town with its markets, the drum tower and somme real Chinese restaurants - we didnt meet many westerners.
We came to see the Longmen Caves and found them amazing. Do arrive early to avoid the hordes. We also enjoyed the museum and the White Temple, which has areas with temples in Thai and Indian styles.
Luoyang is known as the Peony city. Plan to go in April for the peony festival, although be forewarned that it will be crowded at this time.
Town is not a nice place but the Longmen Grottoes are probably the most beautiful historical place I've been to.
Luoyang is a nice city. Not too big, but not too small. You have your western comforts such as KFC and McDonalds.
