Location good and convenient for shopping. Good Christmas decorations and entrance was spacious and great meeting place for residents. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful in giving us good tips on shops to visit and site seeing. The visit to the Mysore palace during the day was good but don't miss the evening when the lights lit up the palace it is something you will not see elsewhere. The architecture is beyond ones imagination and you will enjoy the craftsmanship of the artists. the Mysore gardens and the musical fountains at night should not be missed. The breakfast had a Hugh variety which we thoroughly enjoyed with many waiters at our beck and call. Even the manager continually enquiries on the stay of his guests comfort. The dinner at the lower level was enjoyable and the food prepared to our satisfaction.

This is one of the best star hotels in Mysore. There is no doubt about it. And also the fact that it has excellent facilities and is situated in a great location. This is why I was surprised when the hotel was available for comparatively lower price(50% off) and booked it at once. The devil was in the details. For that price, it was mentioned that I must pay for Christmas Gala dinner too, which without any surprise, was same price as that of the room rent. And the people in the reception were neither empathic nor surprised. However, all other staff were professional and neat. The accommodation is also great. If one looks to stay in a star hotel in Mysore(for a price, of course), this is a good option. If you are a price sensitive traveller, just be careful about any offer that reduces the room rent. There will be some caveat.

Staff welcomed me at late arrival and got me settled into my room. The room was large, clean, and with character. Downstairs rooms have nice front terrace. The property is picturesque and fun to explore. Quality cafe and restaurants on site and fairly nice complimentary breakfast outside. Staff were always friendly and of service when I dined. When I’d come and go, they’d offer to get me a tuk tuk, asked about my stay and my reasons for travel. The Green Hotel is a soft and comfortable landing when coming to India for the first time. I would return!

A wonderful tranquil end to a busy 5 week yoga holiday in India! Very affordable luxurious lifestyle in a beautifully presented, peaceful environment, tucked away from the hustle & bustle of Mysore! My wife and I booked a ground floor premium studio apartment which was generously sized & well appointed. The private outdoor courtyard shower in the apartment was a unexpectedly fun alternative to use! Staff were calm & attentive to our needs and facilities on site excellent. The manicured grounds, use of green screening, beautifully designed water features, giant chess board, with geese, cocky and turkeys roaming around created a unique & tranquil ambiance. The restaurants, meals & staff were exceptional standard and value. Whilst there treat yourself to a massage! We chose a package comprising the Abhyanga, Shirodhara & Patra Pinda Sweda massage treatments...possibly the best 2 hours' spent on our holiday and such good value! Highly recommend.

This hotel was booked through Priceline which refreshed my search while booking, therefore booking it for incorrect dates and an incorrect number of guests. Since it was booked for the day after my initial booking date (instead of 2 months later, which is when I'll be in India) I couldn't cancel the reservations since it was already 48 hours prior to the reservation. After I contacted Agoda and Priceline, the hotel graciously did not charge me for the mistake. Thanks to this, I will be booking my stay in July with Sandesh The Prince and hope to give another good review. Thank you to the honest people/ management working there.

i quite liked staying at the ginger hotel in mysore though compared to guesthouses or local hotels it is a little more expensive. after several days of traveling through various cities and cheap motels it was nice to have somewhere to relax for several days and get used to living in mysore. it is kind of off on a bit of a side street though, so to get to any outside restaurants (or really, to get anywhere) you'll need to walk for 5-10 minutes (though there is a taxi desk in the hotel and autorickshaw drivers waiting outside the hotel gates). basically, it was great for relaxation/recuperation from stressful travel but there are cheaper options in better locations if you don't mind some sacrifices on amenities.

Our family of 3 stayed at the Parklane Hotel for 3 nights. We had a large double room and our 8 year old slept of the fixed sofa bed. Although the hotel design is quite idiosyncratic you can't fault them for cleanliness, thoughtful touches (everything is labelled, which is actually very helpful), the restaurant serves up very decent food and is good value for money. We would certainly recommend staying here if travelling through Mysore for a few days.

Excellent in every way. The staff in every department are amazing. Buffet breakfast and dinner, excellent. We stayed there during the Dussera festival and the hotel provided exclusive seating outside for the guests to observe the parade with refreshments. The cleaning staff and restaurant satff are great, extremely helpful. Only thing I didn't like was the location of the pool. It's a bit small and inconveniently located within a rooftop restaurant for such a big 5 star hotel. Everything else is just pure excellence! As a Travel Consultant I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convenient if you are visiting Mysore as a tourist. They provided complimentary breakfast and free wi-fi. The swimming pool is on the roof top and the water was not very clean. It was cold too. We booked the room through Agoda and the staff at hotel told us that our kid was not part of the plan. They charged quite a hefty amount for her even though we did not go for a separate bed.

We stay in Bangalore and Mysore seems to be a convenient weekend getaway when we get a long break. We have a young 03 yrs old so we look for places that would be child friendly. This time around in October of 2016,we wanted to try a new place and as most other places were sold out, we landed up for this Resort on a travel portal and voila, we were in for a pleasant surprise. From the moment we landed at the reception, the courteous staff ensured we get the holiday experience and it started with the golf buddy ride to our Cottage Room. The room itself is just one big bedroom and a very small lobby and with an attached huge bathroom but the setting is excellent. It opens up with a sit-out balcony overlooking the lake. We were a bit concerned about mosquitoes but to our surprise, there were'nt any for the greenery and water around, later we realized that the staff spray repellents around the resort each day, so really thank them for that. The Pool is the hero of this place, it's so grand and well designed, that it allows space for everyone to have a good time and it's very child safe and friendly. Luckily, there are many families who choose this place so , its a great way for the young ones to meet their friends, my daughter too made a few here. The hotel management, ensures that the guest get a world class experience and during our stay ,we saw them organize outdoor dinners, entertainment events which was really very nice. The hotel is located next building of Sandesh Prince. I took a standard room which was compact but enough for us. Room was clean and tidy. You have 24 hours hot water supply. Dont expect much from the TV as you will get only free channels and the remote hardly works. As far as the location is concerned, it is well suited. Mysore Palace and St.Philomena church were nearby. You get complimentary breakfast for your stay and the items are really good. I tried their lunch buffet in Sandesh Prince which was 600+tax for non veg on Saturday and its good for its price. Also the car parking might get filled really quick even though the space is ample. Overall, i would definitely book again if im going. Pros: Location of tourist spots, car parking, clean room. Cons: The price of the food is a bomb. I aint paying Rs.400 for a chicken briyani. Best is to order from Swiggy and enjoy your meal.

We stayed in Regenta Central Herald during 2017 Christmas break. No doubt it turned out to be a wise choice for us given proximity to many tourist places (with 5 km). Breakfast was good enough with many choices but was surprised to see absence on eggs. Special mention of Uday, a staff from in-house restaurant was really helpful. We will definitely choose this hotel again for our future trips to Mysore.

If you like to spend one or a few nights in the 1930 athmosphere and have the feeling of a maharadscha of that time then this place is a must. Yes, it is old, yes, it is not modern like a 5 star Hilton hotel and all the other brands you get all over the world. But it is exquisite, it is unique, and you get the feeling of another world and all the luxury there has been a hundred years back. And the staff is very friendly and super helpful. It is an wonderful romantic experiance you should not miss when in Misore.

This is a decent hotel and good value for money, I am very happy about my stay, though it had some minor drawback, it was a very nice hotel to stay. pros: Room and bathrooms are very clean and hotel looks new. Have lot of wardrobe and draws in the room. They do have locker facility at free of cost. cons: They dont have parking..hv to drop the car on the street. Location of the hotel is not so good.. but walkable from st philomena church. They have 24Hrs hot water...but have to call them 10min prior so they turn on the Gyser and u get damn hot water in 10min...this is not a problem if you can wait for 10min and more over they respond quickly. Had some problem with connecting wifi..it was not detecting on the 3rd floor and they fixed it only after repeatedly calling them. The problems I mentioned is not a major concern, overall I am not disappointed.

I went with my family (wife, my daughter, my mom dad, sister and her 2 children) for a day trip to Mysore and booked 2 triple premium room for a night stay on 18th May 2017. I must say that the staff are very cooperative and provide you best class services. Not to forget the food was really delicious, the Cook being hired from Kolkata it tickled my taste buds as I too belong from Kolkata and thus am familiar and inclined towards the taste. as a whole we had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

There was no hot water and a fly infestation in the bathroom, we got food poisoning from the restaurant and my husband had to go to the hospital to get some medicine. The sheets were washed but had old stains on them and house keeping was erratic, they didn't always show up when you call to request more items. This hotel is very over priced and wouldn't recommend to travelers, especially those who have only been in India for a short time. We also witnessed some other unhappy customers on two occasions shouting at the reception staff. Best probably to skip breakfast not worth the money and eat out, which we did after the first morning

The poor old place needs a facelift...or, at the very least, a good clean! Staff (room staff, waiter staff, porters, etc.) were friendly and helpful. Reception staff were appalling. Our room was obviously once a well-appointed room within a gracious old hotel building. These days it is rundown, filthy and disappointing. For not a lot of effort, the place could be sensational. Unfortunately, it is run by the state transport department, so it has no proper accountable management. Privately run it could be transformed. It is also a little way out from the main area, although still within walking distance...if you are reasonably fit.

While the hotel is excellent, Its a business hotel. Since it was Mysore, I was expecting some resort kind of landscape garden around. There is none. The other & older hotel just adjacent to this has a good garden. They also host open air dinner in that garden, which we just kept observing from our balconies. Anyways, the hotel rooms were too good. Spacious, modern, clean n gave a classy feel. So good that my family hardly went out of the rooms. So all was good, But... We had booked 2 rooms and I had ordered for an extra bed in one room. But the bed they gave was a folding one and may be a broken one. It got dislocated couple of times. We called them and they made it proper, but again same thing happened at 1:30 at night and my mom gave up calling them and pulled the mattress on the floor and slept. I came to know about this in the morning and angrily went to the reception. The floor manager was very rude and unaccommodative. In the beginning he was not ready to accept their mistake. After lot of heated discussion, he reduced the bill . While it was not about money, the bed and attitude of the staff was very discomforting.
