Traveling to China? Find Shenzhen hotels

Of all the hotels I have stayed in during 30 years, I experienced the best service from the staff at this hotel.They went over and above the normal requirements of service to meet my needs. The room was of a good size, well furnished and extremely clean. The bathroom was well stocked and furnished, very clean, plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and robes.The view of the river from the rooms at the back of the hotel is great. The buffet breakfast would satisfy both western and Asian tastes and the restaurant staff speak some English. I highly recommend the Best Western Felicity Hotel in Shenzhen and I will return there in a few weeks.

My stay at the Grand Mercure Oriental Ginza Hotel in Shenzhen was very good. Room was very spacious and clean. Hotel has all facilities that will make your stay satisfactory. They have differrent restaurants , Western and Chinees , seperate winre and cigar bar at the top floor . Sportsbar at the 7th floor and swimming pool Sauna Gym an more on the 5th floor. Not very much to see around the hotel, besides some chinese restaurants there is is a KFC just behind the hotel.Not far from the hotel (3 stops with the MRT) there is the Windows of the World , HAppy Valley and Splendid China. In the other direction the MRT will bring you to City center .

The Hyatt Place Dongmen has become my new "must stay" value hotel in Shenzhen. Located at the junction of two MTR lines, you can easily get anywhere in Shenzhen without using a taxi. Only 10 minutes to Luohu border crossing. Dongmen walking street is right across the street as is an outdoor entertainment garden. Lots of great restaurants within two blocks. Staff is always polite and professional. Four stars is accurate, but much better than most "five star" China hotels. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, bathroom is big, wide selection of international programs on tv. Guest room attendants are always friendly and helpful. For late departure, front desk will check your bags. Breakfast is fantastic! Large selection of most everything, including Western, Chinese, and Dim Sum. Custom omelet and egg station and 3 kinds of fresh juices with custom expresso machine. Fast table cleaning service also. Great value for the money.

when traveling to shenzhen i always stay at the se view o'city hotel in the overseas chinese town (oct) area. the hotel is located in a very nice area of shenzhen close to some main atractions in shenzhen like the windows of the world , splendid china and happy valley. the shenzhen mtr is just in front of the hotel. hoetel has a bar at the first floor and two restaurants on the second floor , one were western food is served and one chinese restaurant that has been opened recently. rooms are ok with everything one needs when traveling, good beds , nice bathroom, free internet etc.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The last time when we were in Shenzhen , we stayed at a different hotel and the hallways smells like smoke. At the Mehood, they did a good job in covering up the smoke smell with perfume or some nice scent. The location is convenient and right by the metro line. The staff is really friendly and they give free fruits at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again when I go back to China. If fact, we are planning on coming back sometime in August or September. The rooms are clean and it took us a while to figure out the TV.

A fantastic hotel within walking distance of the Hua Qiang Bei Lu electronics markets which are great to check out while in Shenzhen. A lot of dining options within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Lots of good food for very cheap because of all the workers in the area. Metro is also very close so it's easy to get to from the airport and it's also easy to get to many of the major places in Shenzhen from there.

The cleanliness is out of my expectation !! Great peoples always with smile. When I book with Agoda,it seems like I can't choose the room with two bed, thus ,I check in on time at 1pm, but I still cannt not arranged a room with 2 bed, even I request that let us change the room with 2 bed when available at the front desk, I still have chance on my second day stay. I will stay again this hotel next time when I travel to Shenzhen, but I will remember to switch on the "Don't not disturb" when I stay at room, because the housekeeper will ring your bell even only insert a daily flyer to your room! Its really not necessary.

Cleanliness is always my first concern, and even though it is not brand new, my room lived up to my demands and will probably live up to yours. There are staff on every floor ready to clean the room or provide anything you need. But if you're in Shenzhen you are probably doing business and needing help. This staff went above and beyond any expectation. When I found out my all-China China Mobile sim card could not be topped up locally because it was bought in Hong Kong, a front desk aide fluent in English pulled out the maps, then walked me the full 300 meters to the China Mobile office, stayed in line with me and helped get my life back on track. The hotel is in the middle of one of the best shopping areas of the city so I got a quick tour on the way. Sure enough, I needed help again and again got it with a smile. It was only a brief three day stop this time, but I know I have found a new favorite clean and comfortable place to be when I am in SZ ... and wanting the care and attention usually reserved for the (much) more expensive 5 Star hotels.

i travelled alone and the hotel is so safe. the staff like the housekeeping they're very helpful. though they can't speak english well but they really tried to help and assist and i really appreciate it. the hotel location is very safe too. i can just walk alone even at night and shop till you drop especially shoes.huh!.. well-lighted area. nothing negative to comment. i have a wonderful stay and still vienna hotel to my next travel to shenzhen!

It was a good hotel overall, and really the only convenient option near Shenzhen airport. It was a bit more difficult to find than expected, and not exactly “connected” to the terminal. It could be very convenient and literally connected, but it’s blocked off and they force you to leave the airport terminal to enter the hotel. Plus there is no signage in the airport or on any airport map to tell you where to go. So it was a bit confusing to find the entrance to the hotel. Also, it was a non-smoking room, but smelled very strong of smoke...not surprising in China. The bed was nice, and so was the bathroom, and the room was very clean. The TV didn’t work, and when I called reception, they said it would be fixed in an hour, but it wasn’t. But if I had to spend the night in Shenzhen again, I would go back.

I can't say enough good things about the Sunflower! I stayed here because my usual hotel was booked when I came back to Shenzhen and was I lucky! Exceptional facility with gym, room, restaurant with a great hot pot special, nice room with desk, great bed, big two room bathroom with tub and shower, stove, oven refrigeration, balcony... I am not sure all rooms have all of these. English is better than most hotels, you will love it and not believe how they can do it for this price!

New room ,Big king bed , big room , cold ac , nice shower ,good wifi ,TV hard to turn on since remote control have no english all in Chinese afraid to press any ppv button with the hotel staff help i be able to turn on the tv. Fumin metro station just five min walk on red line. KFC and Mcdonald there by fumin metro , under the KFC shopping cheap prices mall there over all great stay try to get higher floor and big room if you like to enjoy you stay there,small rooms have noise complains.

Booked four nights from 21/12, checking out 25/12. Used the hotel as a base for exploring Shenzhen and catching up with friends. Also went to Macau for a one night break however stayed booked in here while I was away. This was my first stay at a Sheraton anywhere in the world. Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen is an excellent hotel. Great value for money, room quality in West Tower exceptional, all staff, from bellboys, door openers, room service, restaurant staff, housekeeping and reception gave friendly and helpful assistance. The rooms are comfortable and have nice amentities, if you organise or book a room with free internet and breakfast included there are no other costs other incidentals. The hotel was decorated for Christmas - the decorations were intricate and interesting - all staff were in the spirit at all times. Conceirge staff were helpful with maps and hints to get around. English is well spoken by staff, no trouble in communicating at all levels. The breakfast selection was wide and varied - hot meals were hot. If you are travelling from Hong Kong International Airport, catch the Trans-Island hotel link min-bus, their stand is outside arrival hall One - the cost is good value, is door to door to the hotel through the Huanggang Port border crossing (just a few minutes away) - total time around one hour. Use this service both ways. If you are offerred a mini-bus transfer via Shenzhen Bay crossing, the journey takes two hours. The Trans-Island hotel link is direct to HKIA. Don't forget to obtain a multi-entry China visa if you intend to enter Hong Kong or Macau a number of times during your stay. I was in and out of China three times during my stay. I recommend this hotel.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel. Given the price and that the hotel was 3 star only, I was thinking that I would have a communication issue with the staff. To my pleasant surprise, reception and all the front liners spoke English. They tend to speak loudly with hardly any courtesy but you must remember that English is not their first language and if they seem rough around the edges, it is because of the language limitation. Coming from a 3 star hotel in Guangzhou where NO ONE could speak English, I was very happy Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel. The staff were also EXTREMELY helpful when I needed help on how to get to the Marco Polo for my business meeting and when I needed to get to the Lo Hou Station to get back to Guangzhou. They understood that taxi drivers didnt speak English so the bell boy would talk to the driver and chose taxis that were reliable. The rooms were clean and basic. I was most happy that there was CNN on cable TV. From previous experience in China, the hotel TVs normally have no English channel. Location was great. There were many restaurants around and then there were many shopping places (high end and bargain shopws) and electronic shops near by. I would stay here again and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

If you are looking for a place with top-notch dining, nightlife and public transportation access just outside the doors of the hotel, this is the place. The rooms, service, and location are all 5-star quality. You get great value because you aren't paying for an ostentatious lobby and amenities totally unnecessary for the location - very well-concieved and I recommend it highly. I will stay in Honlux every time I am in Shenzhen (which is frequently) - a small word of caution - Shenzhen is geographically a very, large city - it is sensible to choose a location somewhat near to where you want to go. This hotel is particularly great for the Sea World entertainment zone, Shekou ferry port, the bayside walk, and lots of things to do. If you are a foreigner staying here, I would also recommend checking for things to do at shekoudaily.com. Really outstanding hotel - I especially love the 5-star quality rooms at 3-4 star prices.

I fund this hotel by recommendation from a customer I came to. When I came, I took the taxi from the Sukou Ferry. It is very close and convenient. We I entered the room I saw that the room is very large, with nice facilities, like safe and other business traveler needs. It is my first hotel in Shenzhen, and I was glad to find the broadband internet was active and fast enough (not all places in chine were like that). Nearby, there are many entertaining facilities, including SPA, massage, good Korean and Japanese restaurants, Chinese club and karaoke with full services. Of course, at the hotel itself there were a dining room with fair (and even more) breakfast and dinner buffet. not to forget the nice staff.

i go to shenzhen for two reasons on is for business and to see my girl friend. i have staied in many hotels in shenzhen and this is one of the best. best for it's service and the facility. it might be because it is managed by a hong kong hotel chain, the staff was very polite and kind. the room is equiped with a mini bar and the in it there are 6 drinks. 2 water, 3 soft drinks and 1 beer. it's free! and they'll refill your mini bar with the same amount of drinks every day. the shower was spacious for two and the internet is great. the location of the hotel is near a mall and wallmart so shopping was no problem. i will stay here again. my girl friend liked it too!!!

The reason I mention the Nanshan district is because this is literally the only hotel in Shenzhen that is reasonably close to it. Everything else requires a long walk/long taxi ride/short subway ride. That being said, it wasn't a bad stay for the money. It is definitely a Chinese hotel, with a few Western amenities. Rooms are big and sunny. Carpeting everywhere. Bathrooms are Western-style (though, no bathtubs). Maid service is religiously done everyday. The only things to be aware of are the following: 1) The breakfast buffet is excellent, but Chinese. Several hot chafing dishes, steaming pots of rice gruel, fresh fried eggs, made-to-order hot noodles with meat, cut fruit, assorted breads, a toaster with butter/jam, and tea. They also have the typical watery fruit juice and weak coffee that they like in China. When it gets crowded, the typically informal Chinese custom is for someone to seat themselves at an empty place at your table. 2) The staff speak very little English. Come with a copy of your Agoda Hotel Voucher for check-in. They will collect a 300 RMB deposit in cash (which you get back if you don't use minibar, or damage anything). You will also need to have your passport handy. The staff is friendly and will make their best attempt to communicate with you. 3) The Shenzhen Metro (subway) is excellent, but it is not close to the hotel. The closest station is Shenzhen University Zhan. (Also called Shenzhen Daxue Zhan, or Shen Da Zhan.) It's a 25 minute walk, or a 5 minute taxi ride. (I did both during my visit.) Its a good thing to save an offline map to your mobile device. Once you're on the subway, its stupid simple to get around. The Chinese signage is excellent. They use RFI tokens, which are purchased from the machines. They take only small bills, so see the change attendant, if you don't have anything smaller than a 5 RMB note (or, RMB coins). I found that 7 RMB (about $1) gets you most anywhere.

This hotel is somewhat luxurious and clean, and is valueable for their cheap price. it locates in Longhua, Shenzhen, close to Foxconn. The chinese Restaurant is luxurious and the food is delicious. I think it is the best hotel for your business trip to Foxconn. But compared with the Futian or other downtown district, the Longhua is somewhat mess. Anyway, I think it is valuable to stay at this hotel.

Selected hotel as map showed close to Shenzhen airport. Originally going to use Didi to get to hotel from airport, but too confusing, so waited in line an caught regular taxi. Meter was about 52RMB, but nice guy so rounded it up to 60RMB. Check in was fast and easy. Room was clean, water pressure good, bed firm, wifi fast enough for normal surfing. Breakfast include was a value as nice choice of Chinese and Western foods. Easy check out!
