Traveling to China? Find Suzhou hotels

Front Desk: Awesome staff. They are very friendly and most importantly helpful. Whenever i need taxi, they would call taxi and tell the location. They fixed the broken A/C immediately. Best staff. Rooms: Very clean and nice Breakfast: Buffet. Many items and delicious. Location: Great location. Great shopping places are just couple of minutes walk away from the hotel. Fast food restaurants like Mc Donald and KFC are within 5 to 10 min walk. There is a metro/ subway station with in 10 min walk. Overall it is a great place to stay. I would recommend this place for everyone. This is my hotel in Suzhou.

Hotel is well located at the famous at the famous Shantang Street where you can get a lot of good foods and nice shopping. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, a special thanks to our driver Mr Xu who spent his time recommended and advised us all the best places to visit in SuZhou. Room is big, clean and well kept. Hotel provide shuttle service to some of the attractions in Suzhou which really eased the trouble of getting public transport. Definitely the best place to stay in Suzhou^^

Everything about this hotel is what you'd expect from Novotel. I spent an enjoyable six nights and above everything else wish to praise the staff for their assistance to my needs, a first time traveler to Suzhou. Special mention to Victor on the Front Desk and Miss Vivian in the breakfast restaurant. My room was spotless; the pool crystal clear, breakfast buffet more than adequate; internet availability easily accessed. The subway (Line 1) is located underneath the hotel which makes getting to the tourism hot-spots a walk in the park. The only challenge is that of the traffic out front. The constant horn blowing characteristic of China takes some getting used to. I suggest turning in after 10 or asking for a room at the back of the hotel. I look forward to returning to this hotel before too long.

Sun Plaza is shopping mall and the hotel is located right behind it. Hotel room is nice and clean for 4 people, price is worthy too! About 5 minutes walk from ShiLu Station, walking distance to ShanTang Street and Lingering Garden, also only 2 stations away from Suzhou Railway Station! Many food restaurants nearby and ShiLu walking street is just right in front of Sun Plaza. I would definitely visit back to this hotel if I have chance to visit Suzhou again :)

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel tremendously. It's simply delightful just wandering around the hotel compound, taking in its beautiful garden/canal landscape, and the very enchanting public garden just next to the hotel known as "Pan Men" (free entry for hotel guests). I could walk the Pan Men garden every day for hours without getting bored. In my opinion, the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Lingering Garden which I visited (entry fee required and not a small amount), are not as enchanting as the Pan Men garden, and the hotel is so fortunately situated just next to it, complementing each other. The hotel room I stayed in is spacious, well decorated and has a beautiful garden view. Also I dined at the Chinese restaurant there twice coz I love the restaurant's friendly staff and décor. The only reason for me to go back to Suzhou again is Pan Pac Suzhou Hotel and PanMen Garden and if I need a retreat, this venue is definitely most ideal.

Good location with convenient access to metro station, strategically located in the nice and organized industrial park. Modern architecture and the room is great and cozy. The only upset is the buffet breakfast experience. First escorted by rude and impudent staff to the seat, refused to make arrangement to the preferred seat location despite there are several empty seats nearby the window and responded in a sarcastic way. The staff cleared away the foods on time without informing the guest in advance.

In Hyatt Regency Suzhou, there is a very strict guy who works inside the man's locker room & swimming pool. He does his job very well. He does never let the people who don't follow the duty of the guests: "after the shower, with the slipper, wearing the swimming cap"- simple global manner whoever uses the swimming pool pf the hotel. The swimming pool is very clean. I enjoyed it and I really appreciate his effort. (But GrandHyatt Shanghai in Pudong, nobody bans the guests who come into the pool without a shower, without swimming cap, wearing outdoor shoes. That made the swimming pool not clean and smells bad. I couldn't enjoy that facility. And I felt bad in my eyes after the swimming two whole days.) Anyway, thanks for your considerate services and delightful kindness about letting the small exceptions and gorgeous facilities. Hyatt Regency Suzhou : 5 point all. Perfect.

i had finished both my free bottles of water on my first night there, the next evening, i found four new bottles and a very kind note awaiting for me as i returned for the night, the note from the housekeeping lady saying that she has found me finishing all my waters, therefore prepared an additional two for me in case i needed more water. fresh fruits were also prepared in my room everyday. friendly service can be easily seen in many hotels now, but such truly attentive housekeeping, i have only encountered at this shangri-la hotel in suzhou. i felt truly at home.

clothes storage. Rooms facing the back of the hotel is more quiet but those facing the busy main road (Renmin Rd) is rather noisy - may be a problem for light sleepers. Hotel’s solution – they provide free ear plugs! Overall, the quality of the staff service really stands out, especially the frontline reception staff – immaculately attired, smart looking, friendly, ever smiling and offering to help in providing valuable information on how to get to the numerous famous Suzhou gardens and other areas of interest. They showed me how to get to the silk shop where locals patronise “Yu Si Xiang” by metro (LeQiao metro station exit 7 and walk 300m along Furenfang Alley). Note: public bus #949 right outside Pace Hotel takes you direct to the famous Tiger Hill (Huqiu San) at the cost of 1 RMB and about 25 minutes travel time. As for food, there is a modern and clean food-court at the basement of the next door shopping centre. Conclusion: a fantastic 3 star hotel and I shall stay here again on m

This hotel is actually meant for families with (small) children. We have never seen anywhere in the world so far, a hotel with such facilities for the kids , it is almost incredible ! There is nothing what you can think of, that is missing to please the little ones, also in the restaurant. The personnel is exceptionally friendly and helpful , unfortunately almost nobody understands even a smallest bit of english apart from 2or 3 people at the reception desk. The food is really good, the positionning of the hotel at the lake is beautiful. The old city center is also at walking distance. Personnel did not seem to know that there is a direct subway connection to Suzhou from Tongli and advised a taxi, since the bus is riding only twice a day.

i am the frequent traveller to suzhou and stayed not less than eight hotels in suzhou for the past. at this moment, i found somerset emerald city suzhou hotel is the most satisfactory in term of facilities,cleanliness, friendly staff and very good location which just next to the shopping mall with plenty of restaurants and food outlets. and also the room rate is very reasonable. my next trip to suzhou will be stay in somerset emerald city suzhou hotel again.

The Garden Hotel is the best hotel that I have stayed at so far during all my trips. We visited SuZhou as a family (my husband, my mother, my 5-month-old baby and me). Upon arrival, I was already very impressed with the hotel location, facilities and superb customer service. During our stay, I got mastitis and had a fever of 102F. The hotel staffs (especially the restaurant manager Mr. Jason Tang) were extremely helpful at finding a local lactation consultant for me. Since we didn't even have a working cell phone in China, we relied on the hotel for everything regarding my treatment and recovery. Mr. Tang was able to find someone who was willing to do an in-person visit at the last minute notice. My fever went away shortly after the visit by the lactation consultant. I can't thank enough for the help I got from the hotel for my speedy recovery. This is the best customer care I have witnessed/experienced ever. I highly recommend the Garden Hotel if you are visiting SuZhou. The hotel itself is a beautiful garden (they offer daily tours in Chinese to guide you through the hotel ground and introduce you its history). In addition, the hotel is located on a busy city-center street that has all the best restaurants. During our stay, we talked to some local people and was told that they eat on the same street if they are going out. The hotel facility is well maintained. You will definitely get your money worth if you choose this place.

So sorry for my delay in taking this survey. I would like to thank particularly the following staff at the Reception counter for their assistance in advising us to book a train ticket to Suzhou train station on our way to Huangshan. They are: 1. Mr Gao Yang 2. Mr Liu You Ming 3. Mr Wang Cong 4. Miss Zhu Xiao Feng I am greatly indebted to them for their help, great hospitality and time spent on assisting us. We booked the wrong tickets for the train journey from Suzhou to Huangshan. Our train was supposed to depart from Suzhou Jiangsu Province but I bought the wrong ticket on a train from Suzhou An Hui instead. Luckily with all their help we managed to amend the tickets at extra costs but unfortunately we have to cut short our stay to 1.5 days instead of 2 full days.

I had a lovely stay in the Holiday Inn Jasmine Hotel in Suzhou. The location is within walking distance to the scenic canals villages of old Suzhou. The room was clean, and the bed was very soft and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful in making recommendations on sight-seeing attractions. All in all, a great stay, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Mercure Suzhou is an idea hotel for those who are visiting SIP companies which is a convenience hotel to move around in the SIP. the hotel is also not far away from the Train station , it take approximate 20 mins from hotel to the train station . It was convenience to take the high speed train from SIP to Shanghai( 30 mins ) . For business traveler , this is a perfect hotel as WiFi , internet is available in the hotel room. Hotel is spacious & clean. Will stay at this hotel when I come ot Suzhou on business.
