We had our bus at night and we checked out at noon, The Clarks team was kind enough to keep our luggage with them and also assisted in booking a cab for our drop location. And it was all with a smile. Hospitality at its best.

Excellent Hotel.... certain drawbacks”
Excellent Hotel and hospitality. Right next to Mall Road, so good location. Food is very good. Lovely garden and terrace to spend time in the evenings. The bar pretty much serves as the family room. Cons - Parking 80 steps down from the hotel, though for those with health issues they provide a wheelchair with attendent at parking lot. No elevator within hotel. Some rooms don't have any proper ventilation as, windows open towards the corridor.And corridor windows are kept shut.

It’s a vintage hotel maintained by oberois, location is very good, staff is very polite and courteous , hotel is clean well maintained, breakfast is good but they need to add some nuts, seeds, and cold meat, superior rooms are not good very dinzy and suffocated no windows

Stayed in room no.46...that means your bed is kinda right in the middle of road. High noise until late midnight. Could not sleep. Room heaters- nobody knows how to operate them, except one lady. The lady wanted me to understsand how non-oil ones are different from oil room heaters....THANK YOU.

Key features of hotel : - - You can not get better location than this hotel. Its bang on the mall road. - You can not get rooms bigger than this hotel in shimla. They are really huge. - Its heritage old collonial style hotel with modern facilities, its feel good there. - Staff performance is good. - If you have young kids this is a place since rooms are big enough for them to roam in room. - Breakfast is okay - also its a first Oberoi hotel so this speaks of itself on quality of service. Happy stay.

If u are in Shimla you must be only in Clarke....for hospitality I would like to give SEVEN STARs......room size 6.5 star.....hygene and rest all at par.....oberois have never disappointed in past too.Entire trip,everywhere we were in five star hotels but....Clarke is on top of all.My son was not well,staff members made it sure to go out twice and get meds at 10 in the night where the sun sat by 5.30.E very person was so well trained,it was more than a homely feeling.

A little gem on Mall Raod”
Had a great stay at Clarke's. Great location at one end of Mall Road. Great service- We had to come to Simla a day earlier than scheduled and the hotel accommodated us . Lovely corner room with a great view of the hills and the Hanuman mandir. Just a suggestion - if the prices for the inhouse menu are more reasonable I am sure more people would avail of this particularly as there are a range of restaurants a stone;s throw away . the hotel does have parking which I realized is a boon in Simla. Do note that because Mall road is traffic free, the climb from the other side is quite steep and would challenge the less fit of my friends.

A great location situated at the bottom end of the pedestrian only walkway with many restaurants close by. the hotel staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and well maintained for such an historic building. I would definitely recommend staying here as the best choice in Shimla.
