Excellent hotel in a lovely setting right on the Nile - beautiful views - we could see the pyramids in the distance from our bed! Many of the restaurants, bars and the pool are right on the river's edge. Breakfast was the best we had in all our travels in Egypt. The suite was very spacious and comfortable with top quality amenities and two balconies overlooking the ...

The Hotel Is Perfect ,, The Staff ((Some Of They)) Have A Trouble With Me ,, Because Of Requesting An [Empty Cup Of Water] They Charge Me 10 EGYPT POUND ,, Got Angry For That Only . But At All : The Hotel is Nice And Later The Manager Contacted Me And Say Apology For That .

I spent a weekend in Cairo and wanted a bit of comfort. The Conrad has all the luxury of a five star hotel if location is not a priority. It is about 10 blocks from the Egypt Museum and the centre of town. The hotel is right next to the Nile and the "Nile view" from your room is spectacular. But you would have to take a taxi to any of the major tourist sites in Cai...

The room was huge and comfortable. Got free upgrade from standard to superior room but no free minibar unlike Moevenpick hotel. Most staff were friendly but some were not (or only friendly after giving them tips). The staff was also not too friendly with my female spouse. Further, we felt pressured into taking their limousine car despite the fact we told them that we h...

Very good hotel with great location. It will be fine for business travellers & for holidays also. In 2 min one can reach a very nice park & one can have a walk along the riverside. There's a roof which offers to admire fantastic views. Heated pool & jaccuzzi. Breakfast was pretty good, but not the best one. I would stay this hotel again & would ecommend it to my fr...

We have some cities in Egypt to visit, Cairo is our first destination, then we will be in Alexandria, then back to cairo. During our travel, the staff Sammy from concierge help us to book the excurison and help us with train tickets and arragne our luggage to airport which we need not be back to Hitlon, and he kindly call me for many times for my agenda changed, and he...

honestly the hotel was magical i spent almost 8 days at the hotel and i really enjoyed the time there. the staff were amazing they would never refuse a request from you especially Mr. Muhammed salah in the hotel reception and Ms. Menna muhammed i would recommend you ask for them directly if you had any trouple becase they would help you immediately

overall a solid hilton hotel. everything is up to standard and what you expect for a 4 star hilton hotel. breakfast good except the lack of real bacon(same thing all over egypt, pork a bit of a no no). as a swede i especially enjoyed the smoked salmon which was really good. staff really nice and good as you would expect, the only nice people i met in whole of egyp...

This is a beautifully located historic building. Some of the rooms are very large and luxurious. We were offered an upgrade for $50 per night. The price we paid with agoda was the lowest in our party. The staff are very pleasant and courteous but some could do with a little more training. The food is very average, which for Egypt is a recommendation. Cape bay was the ...

Excellent hotel with good service, close to Tahir Square, Egyptian Museum and many restaurants and sights downtown. Nice gym on the top floor with Nile view. Pool is very small, crowded during peak hours. Cafe on lobby floor serves good coffee and food. This is an exciting time to be in Egypt, I had no issues with safety/security, and while there were various protests,...

I had booked a sea view room through agoda but when i reached the hotel, they told me it is not sea view and they gave me a side view room.. i was so disapointed that i don't get what i've booked.. i came from Cairo to spend only one night in a good hotel with a sea view.. that was my only desire..who should compensate this?? The hotel or your website??? And by the way...

Connection to Citystar Mall thru the basement. Check-in to one bedroom apartment, which can accommodate 4 adults. Breakfast is just ordinary but is sufficient and can bring the breakfa...

It was a pleasant stay, we stayed for 4 nights in garden view classic room, the scenery was beautiful, th staff were helpful and hospital. Room service was good, only 1 comment on food portion; it is so minimal for what is payed. Everything was clean in the room but during breakfast and dinner in ramses, the staff were always late to clean the tables and we would st...

Me and my wife had a very good time there, the room was spacious, not very fancy but good enough, the view was amazing, i love the effort that’s been done to make the resort look so good, the staff is really the highlight here, all are polite, very friendly and helpful, the food is very good, plentiful and tasty, the main restaurant is king, el dolfino restaurant was v...

The facilities in the hotel were very good. The thing that impressed us most was the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were courteous, friendly and genuinely nice. We travel all over the world and have stayed in top class hotels but we have never met such lovely people anywhere. They deserve 5 stars just for their staff

I was a solo traveller and I would say the staff was one of the best I've ever seen. I want to give a shout-out to security guard Mr. Ashraf and shop owner Mr. Alaa el-Din, who was extremely professional and helped me with the problem I've faced in Luxor. Mr Alaa el-Din and one security guard with a moustache was very nice and every time I went out the hotel they gre...

among the few hotels in 6th of october, novotel is relatively inexpensive yet it location is superior in comparison. 15 min walk to mall of arabia & 10 min away from local shops if you want a true egyptian buying experience. as will most hotels there, internet cost a lot. about daily. you can bring you laptop to the lobby if you want free wifi though. the free br...

Very large hotel with massive swimming pool particularly for families to enjoy, fantastic reefs with a huge variety of red sea life, very pleasant hotel staff, rooms alsways kept tidy and clean and quite spacious with balcony overlooking the sea as all the rooms are, equestrian centre if you like horse riding, no dive centre which was a disappointment, the hotel would rea...

we only had two days here and unfortunately had to work for one of them so we didn't get to relax as much as we would have liked. hilton luxor is a lovely hotel, friendly staff and excellent management. the breakfast is varied and very good. the room services dinner we found to be too greasy (a problem overall we have found with eating in egypt generally) - they coo...

Having stayed many times at The Grand Rotana Resort and Spa in Sharm I'm afraid Movenpick although good, couldn't match the standards of Rotana. The staff, uniforms, professionalism you expect from 5 star wasn't there. El Gouna itself is a much better choice of area than Hurghada, as it is a purpose built Resort, with beautiful marinas and restaurants. The hotel locati...

It was great. Starting from reception staff performance ( Omar , Minaand Kareem ) to everyone single detail performance was perfect. Beach, comfort , ambiance, diving, dinning). I would like to thank the Customer relations ladies at Serenity Fun City that followed up our concerns above and beyond for our stay. Cheap places to stay in Egypt

The place is pretty hard to find since it is in the 10th story of a normal house (no worries, there is an elevator). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and will try everything to translate whenever the two staff members who speak very good english are not around. The rooms are clean enough, spacious and the view is out of this world. Make sure to take a room...

The guys at the travellers house are the nicest people you'll ever meet in the entire egypt, especially Adel (the owner) and Maged. They even assisted in planning the rest of our trip to aswan and luxor at a reasonable price and all their contacts were just as good. In a country like egypt in its current unrest and problems, you definitely value friends such as the guy...

Not really a hotel but a guesthouse. That said, it's an excellent guesthouse and was much cleaner than some four-star hotels we stayed in during our 10-day Egypt trip. Our room was spacious with a king-sized bed, lockable wardrobe, balcony, and bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was low, but there was always plenty of hot water. One of the highlights is the ...

We stayed two nights at the Triomphe Hotel. It was easy to find, pretty clean, and spacious. It was a bit noisy at times because the tram is located beside the hotel and it is also hostel style - so some travellers are going in and out, they can be noisy in the hallway. The noisy level was definitely barable.

I had a lovely stay at the Falcom Naama Star Hotel, but it's not a hotel that's suitable if you're there on business. The hotel itself is clean and professional, with facilities that go beyond its 3* rating. However they seem to want to sell themselves very clearly to the package holiday crowd, so there are lots of very loud games by the pool, loud music during the day...

After Reading all the positive feedback I felt like I was making the right decision Once my mother and I got on location and went to the rooftop our mouth dropped. That’s when I knew i made the right decision. the feeling of the whole place and rooftop gives you an experience that you never forget. I was initially going to book at the Meridian to have comfort and poo...

I stayed there for 2 nights alone. The best thing about the hotel is that cheap but really good quality. They have nice staffs and nice swimming pool. The Location is perfact. You can reach to any good restaurant in 3 minutes and carrefour supermarket, beach, tour company, shops, diving shop. If you are looking for cheap and cozy romm, go for this hotel.

All the staff I met were really friendly and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately the hotel is in a poor condition and somethings look like they were built badly from the start. So it didn't really meet my expectations based on the photos I saw. Although, considering the price its still good value for money if your looking for a cheap base that's close to Sh...

you have to take ferry and walk 10min, the view from the back of Nile review is nice and quiet. But the bed wasnt clean and use home blanket which I doubt they change. Dont book trip from the owner as he charges more. My friend only pay 300 Egyptian Pound, some others only pay 220! to visit Abu Simbel while he charged us 350. And he kept asking the German guy next roo...

Apartment in one of the side streets (not paved). Taxi's won't know where you are headed so have your google maps or some other navigation with you. Services are within 5 minutes walking distance. Area doesn't feel dangerous at all, but be aware of street dogs. Some gets pretty close and are not friendly looking (they respect small rocks that are plentiful on the groun...

Very nice stay in this hotel on West Bank, more peaceful than East bank, but very clode to publif transportation to cross the Nile, 5 minutes walking only. Nice garden, good food, vegetarian are welcomed. Rooms are simple, but cleaned Staff is frendly, feeling like in a familly

i recommend the cairo city center hotel to everybody who wants to feel the impulses of the real egypt and cairo. than hotel is really in the center of the city, you can reach every tourist district in minutes. however except from the hotel we didn't see any tourists. the tharir square and the egyiptian museum is about 1 minute far by walk and we can go on walk for sh...

Thank you for the owner for making me feel so welcome in Dahab. I arrived very late after taking the Go Bus to Dahab, and he was happy to welcome me with a comfortable room, fast Internet, and filling breakfast - all for a very very reasonable rate. I highly recommend this hotel while you are in Dahab. Also, they were re-doing the pool, so I expect it will be even more...

This is a wonderful hotel, and excellent value for money. Perfect location overlooking the Nile. Located on the west bank, 100m from the ferry (LE1 per ride),close to eating places and shops. you can walk everywhere. The hotel is clean and in good condition. Lovely swimming pool. Great breakfast and food. The owner Mohamed is friendly and helpful, and his sons are the...

disco in basement so noise until 4 am. i had booked for 3 nights but cancelled after the first night - no refund yet, even of the third night. room good for the reduced price, with a small balcony. but not "spacious" as described. (this can be seen from the photos). i am dubious that the price is actually reduced, as the full quoted price would be much too high for t...

I cancelled my reservation in the allotted time, but Agoda tried to charge me one day by using Japanese/Chinese time instead of local time. The customer service was not helpful, but the hotel was very nice and accepted my voucher three days late! For this I really appreciate them and we closed our eyes at any possible problems. It seems that it saw better days, a membe...

Pros - Room was so spacious, bed was super comfortable, had a balcony so smoking was easy, view was amazing (in the morning it overlooks the hot air balloon in the distance), the owner and hotel manager was so friendly and really made u feel very welcomed. I am glad that i chose this hotel as i was hesitated to chose between the next door hotel.i arrived at 9 am in the hotel and the front desk gave me my room even i before 2pm.it could be because on monday, if on weekend i might not have a chance.the room was fine, i did not expect the room to be lavish even it stated 4 stars. It was expensive due to the location as Zama...

What more can one expect? Value for money, centralise, clean, safe, very friend and respectable staff. After a long hectic day in Egypt going through dust, smog, traffic, honking, touting.... This was the best place for my much needed night rest. Will definitely be back!!!

we spent 5 days with our 8 months baby girl... we really loved the place it's so comfortable and chic... all the stuff was so helpful with a smile... when I asked for a special food for my baby they was so care ... I recommend it for young couple or old ones for relaxation and enjoying the beach and the sun ... the family as well will enjoy there is a pool for children...

The resort has a nice location: close to the beach. However, you have to cross a bridge to get there. This is nto an issue, but if you're room is located at the opposite side of the hotel, it might be better to request a room closer to bridge (especially for elders.) Some of the rooms are a long walk from the elevator, so it can be tiring for some to get to the beach. ...

This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort (and I didn’t even realise that’s what I’d booked) - so this made it excellent value for money! The resort is HUGE! It has everything! It’s also very beautiful and well-maintained. I had a sea view room which was spacious and clean but wish I’d been given a higher level. Overall, the staff was really friendly and helpf...

As a solo traveller, I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Plaza hotel, I feel though that they don't realise how attractive their property is for solo travellers and they treat it like it's made for families. I found them very helpful and quick on their feet with my requests and enquiries, one lady in particular was very nice and friendly at reception. I especially liked ...

This hotel saved my life from a taxi driver from hell. Long story short, hailed a taxi from Downtown Cairo, and what was supposed to be a 15 min drive turned out to be a 2 hour "city tour". No amount of screaming at the taxi driver helped, and having a GPS in my hand was only a painful reminder of how much time i'm wasting. Only after the meter hit a 100 pounds was...

First there’s no way that the food is 5 star although you can eat plenty of it. Also Agoda advertised free 2 way transfers but we actually had to pay ( they did refund us 15 usd and apologized tho). The gym and pools are very nice and you can drink as much beer and vodka as you want but it is cheap local stuff, that is not the best to say the least. Anyway if the pri...

I have to say Mr Wael is the best, he always did more than I asked for. Other staff were also very nice and helpful. Location is a bit far from city center, but not so far by taxi to City star- a big shopping mall which offers many options for eating. Shower room is tooo small, like 50*50cm, even difficult to stand in for people thin like me. Cleaning staff could had ...

I made 2 mistakes - booking 8 days for the hotel before I planned my itinerary cause went to aswan and luxor in between. And also paying more to be upgraded to the Nile view. Honestly nothing much to see and the balcony door couldnt open so didnt see anything. Pros - room is big and hotel was going thru some upgrades so it look pretty new. Bathroom was also big and s...

I'm reviewing this being a 4 star hotel. We booked a poolside room but they gave us one facing the other side. That was a blessing in disguise because poolside was noisy with kids. The room was ok, clean enough but the bathroom looked filthy, there was no hot water and some of the furnishings were old. This is an ideal place if you're a family, as there is ample enter...

We went during a high season yet we didn't feel any problems or ques , the hotel buildings are old style but from my opinion clean and maintained , The Jaz intervention in the hotel is quite obvious amazing food , amazing staff , high level animation i actually didn't have the chance to see the pool because the sea was crystal clear , clean and very safe special thanks...

not the newest, but a well maintained hilton resort, internationally rather max. 4 star. i was staying in the low season (summer), so it was not very busy and it was perfect for relaxing. the beach is nice, the location is still within the town, but in a quiet, less-touristy part (you need to walk a bit, or take taxi if you want to dine outside). perfect value for mone...

I really enjoyed the stay. The staff were very polite , helpful and especial thanks to Ayman, jaafar from Reception. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Room is spacious and clean. The location is nearby Airport in New CAIRO with close proximity to Mall, restaurants and shopping areas. I will always choose Dusit Thani Lakeview for my stay in Egypt.

I'll be honest, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but there are a lot of things that mean this resort is not 5 star. While it may have been planned to be a 5-start hotel, time has wearied the facilities, things look a little run down, and the rooms, while large, are not furnished like a 5-star venue. There is only limited, very slow wifi available in the lobby (or, if ...

I had an excellent stay at the Hilton Corniche Alex. I spent the New Year 2015 eve there with nice party (a bit over priced. The Cigar Bar is very relaxing, with especilly the bar manager-Emad who's very accomodating and welcoming. I'm sure will be back to this hotel when be back in Alexandria - Egypt next time.

I have been going back since 1994 and I love it every time more. It attracks a special kind if clients, more interested and interesting than the usual luxury hotel junkie. More about Egypt
Discover the Magic of Egypt's Rich History
Egypt is a land steeped in history, where ancient civilizations have left an indelible mark on the landscape. The Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, stands tall as a testament to the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians. Constructed around 2580–2560 BC, this monumental structure was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu and is the only remaining wonder still largely intact. Visitors can marvel at its sheer size and explore the intricate burial chambers within, making it a must-see for history buffs and curious travelers alike.
Not far from the pyramids lies the enigmatic Sphinx, a creature with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. This iconic statue has long captivated the imagination of visitors, shrouded in myths and legends. Standing guard at the Giza Plateau, the Sphinx is believed to represent strength and wisdom, making it an essential stop on any historical tour of Egypt. When to Experience Egypt's Wonders
The best time to visit Egypt largely depends on what travelers hope to experience. Generally, the months from October to April are considered ideal, as the weather is milder, making it perfect for exploring the outdoor attractions. During this period, temperatures range from a comfortable 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), allowing visitors to roam the ancient sites without the sweltering heat of summer. It’s also the peak tourist season, so booking accommodations in advance through Agoda is advisable to secure the best deals.
Travelers looking to experience local culture should consider timing their visit around significant festivals. For instance, the Abu Simbel Sun Festival in February and October draws crowds who gather to witness the sun illuminating the temple of Ramses II. Another notable event is the Cairo International Film Festival held in November, showcasing a variety of films from around the globe. These festivals provide a vibrant glimpse into Egyptian culture and traditions, making them worthwhile additions to any itinerary.
While the winter months are pleasant, summer can be extremely hot, with temperatures soaring above 40°C (104°F) in some areas. However, this is also the time when fewer tourists visit, allowing for a more intimate experience at popular sites. Those who can handle the heat may find great deals on accommodations and activities, especially in coastal areas like Sharm El Sheikh, where the beach resorts offer a refreshing escape from the heat.
Essential Travel Tips for Navigating Egypt
Traveling through Egypt can be an exciting adventure, but having some practical tips can ensure a smooth journey. Understanding local customs is essential; for instance, it’s customary to greet locals with a friendly "Salam" (peace) and to use your right hand for giving and receiving items, as the left hand is considered less polite. Dressing modestly, especially when visiting religious sites, is also important to show respect for local traditions.
Safety is a priority for travelers, and being aware of your surroundings is key. While Egypt is generally safe for tourists, it’s wise to avoid isolated areas and to travel in groups when possible. Opting for registered taxis or ride-sharing services can provide peace of mind, especially in bustling cities like Cairo. Additionally, purchasing travel insurance can offer extra protection against unforeseen circumstances, ensuring a worry-free trip.
When packing for Egypt, consider the climate and activities planned. Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for daytime exploration, while a light jacket or sweater may be needed for cooler evenings. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes, as many historical sites require a fair amount of walking. Keeping a small amount of cash handy for markets and tips can also enhance the travel experience.
