Romania hotels & accommodations
Hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice and helpfull. Coffee and tee given in the room. We had a large flat with 2 bathrooms and a washing machine wich is handy. The location is not the best but mot very bad either and the taxy in there is very cheap, to get to the center of Bucharest we used to pay the equivalent of 2 pounds. Masive Carefour shopping center...
We very much enjoyed staying in Unirea Hotel. The staff is professional, breakfast was of high standard, and our room had an amazing view. They even packed for us a breakfast since we had to leave early, which was very appreciated. What we liked less was the spa. The process was a bit heavy if you just want to dip in the pool for a bit. The bracelets, keys, and swimmin...
i had great time there. rooms are big and clean . location is just the best possible. i didn't had breakfast there.... price is good and yes i will command my friends to stay at the hotel
Great place with the best staff in a hotel that I have seen for a long time. They go beyond the call of duty and are very helpful and knowledgeable of Bucharest and Romania. My kudos to them. Like most Romanians, they are very friendly. I would stay here again.
Iconic hotel for the capital of Romania - even if the rooms are not ultra-modern, it retains the charm of old luxury. Impeccable cleanliness and comfort - in the room there is water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate (free). The acces at the spa is free - not crowded during the period visited. Breakfast at Corso Brasserie fabulous - both the quality of the food and the gener...
The hotel is in a great location close to everything we needed. The rooms are huge and immaculately clean. The food was lovely and the choices were great for breakfast and in the restaurants. The hotel history is super exciting and it hosts numerous famous faces! The highlight for me had to be the staff. All were great but in particular the head concierge was so helpf...
Recomand. Curatenie, personal amabil, mic dejun diversificat. O sa revin la acest hotel.
Everything was perfect for us at a great price, with the best breakfast of our trip. Modern, clean and very comfortable. Lovely staff and perfectly positioned in the Old Town, it will be our first choice if we return to Bucharest.
Stayed here four nights and will come back in a couple weeks when I finish my Romania trip. The hotel is great, on a quieter side street away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and old town. Great helpful staff, good breakfast, good value!
I've stayed here lots of times; having worked in Bucharest for 18 months. If you smile or talk to the staff they respond fantastically, but then I've always found Romanians are among the freindliest and helpfull people around (well maybe not to each other but to non Romanians!!). The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town; within walking distance...
nice hotel with lots of space. the hotel is a bit dated, but everything was working properly. having to pay everyday and get the keycard recoded was annoying, but the price was worth it.
The hotel was arranged through Viking Cruise Lines and check-in was a breeze, taking only a few minutes. The room was very clean, bed comfortable, and pillows easy to sleep on. The bathroom had an abundance of toiletries, which were restocked the very next day. Check-out was also hassle-free and if necessary, the bell hops will hold your luggage. Great job Sofitel, and...
It was ok. The staff are not the friendliest and tried to claim that the hotel had t been paid for via agoda which I am not convinced was an honest mistake- there had been too many similar incidence in Romania ...
We were expecting a bit more, but overall it was not a bad experience. The staff spoke the best english I`ve heard in transyvlvania, room was spacious, cleaning was great and respectfull, breakfast plentifull. It is a good hotel for business travellers. Wifi is also free, though you need to log in every 24 hours which was a bit annoying after staying in smaller county ...
Overall it was a nice stay for one night. The only dissadvantage was that their computers are not linked together, making me wait for the airport shuttle i requested through my agoda booking. I had to telephone at the hotel to let them know i have a reservation for that night and that i`m still waiting for them to pick me up. In the end, they sorted out everything, but...
i think this hotel was the best choice i made with my spending in romania. it's located in the heart of the old town street full of night life and good restaurants and mall district. tons of things to see and meet cool people. the receoptionists are very kind and helpful. plus they are very cute as well. the price is also very resonable not more than 60usd per nigh...
Smaller hotel that we do prefer on business trip. Old style rooms but perfect comfort Excellent breakfast buffet in the morning Close to shops and easy for access in jammed Bucarest Sure to be back when in Romania
Good location. Fitness room is separated from the hotel and you need to pay 20 Ron to access it. No clothes iron in room, the only one at the reception desk could be used for free forhalf hour. The hotel's restaurant has decent prices, the breakfast and the overall food is good. In our check out day they opened the restaurant at 06:37 instead of 06:30.
From booking in and the welcome from the door to the farewell and taxi to the Airport, NOTHING was to large or small in the enjoyment of the stay. And WOW the "Handy" phone was brilliant, even if only as a GPS map guide to get you home on the walks around the hotel and city. What was also great the room although on the street side was so quite, OK not a lot of road noi...
it wasn't a problem for me, but doubletree is a little off the beaten track - a good 20 minute walk to the main square and old town. a tram stops right outside the hotel though, and although i never used it as i'm happy walking, i'm sure this would get you there easily and very cheaply. this hotel is immaculate! very clean and tidy. but what really sets it apart is ...
Hands down the best apt hotel Ive stayed at! And Ive been around the world. Couldn't recommend them more! Especially for Neversea! Top notch restaurant downstairs as well, altho a bit pricy, well worth the quality!
Room was not too bad, clean, not a 4* but you never know in Romania. Very helpful staff. We checked in at 10:30 and they found us a parking spot for only 5 euro for 24 hours. Very helpful !!!
All employees were very friendly and very helpful to accommodate me with all my questions regarding of the restaurants and sightseeing places that we must see. Also, they tried to help us make a reservation for us for one of the top clubs in Timisoara.
This Hotel is much better inside than it looks from the outside. It has been well refurbished. Both checking in and out was quick and efficient. The decor is apppealing both in the public areas and throughout the hotel. We only had breakfast - there was a good choice of hot and cold food. Sadly no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but there was a well stocked min...
central of the central! the best place in the town! Very nice and clean rooms Friendly helpful staff
The room was very nice with all the features you would want, although it wasn't much bigger than the standard room size for a big city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the location. It was about 15 minute walk to the nearest subway stop and about 20 minutes to the start of Old Town. Normally this isn't a problem, because we like to walk, b...
Brilliant hotel, lovely staff, great location and great price. Have stayed there many times
We had to change our plans at the last minute and the Knonwell and its staff turned our problems into silver linings. The hotel is superb in every way, the rooms are large and extremely comfortable, the bed was fantastic! We had dinner at the restaurant, food and service 5*. The Reception staffs went above and beyond their roles to assist us - booking a car and drive...
The issue with the hotel is the difference between the rooms available through the booking process and the rooms at the hotel. we were 4 people and received a room with double bed.
Cheap places to stay in Romania
It located at one of the building in the square, but it was quite hard to find the exact location as there were no signage of the hostel..
I had a really great stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic but more than I might normally expect for a hostel in this price range. The hostel is right in the old town centre and very handy for all the museums and attractions you might wish to see. It's also located right over Ribs and Beer, which I recommend for food and craft be...
Good location not too far from Old Town and station. Recommend to backpackers and low budget travellers. Getting in and out of the bathrooms a bit dicey for the not too agile. Slippery shower floor.
Was great.
Easy to get to from train station
Spent x4 nights at Brasov and had booked two rooms with attached bathroom. My room was located on ground floor where kitchen ; common toilets and reception are, whilst, the second room was in another building facing the reception. Everything was good, comfortable bed, attached LED tv , study table and chair. rubbish were not cleared even though it said rubbish will b...
The hostel is very nice just in the pedestrian road in old Town, is very modern and convinient. The staff is very helpful, I had a little problem with my bed and they sorted out very fast and very good. They also are very open to give advice on places to see and eat.
They came to the station to pick me up and drive to their house even though I arrived at 23:30. The location is very good as it's 1min walk to the old town. They have 2 pretty dogs and both of them are smart and cheerful. The beds are very comfy as a reasonable hostel. In the morning, they served me a cup of coffee and some cakes. It's the best stay in my life, can't s...
I liked it a lot. The staff was helping. The lady guided me to go and see near by places. Location is perfect.
I've stayed in lots of hostels and this is definitely one of the best I've been to. The owner is super friendly, warm and welcoming. She helped me get to two of the monasteries, calling travel agencies and drawing me maps so I wouldn't get lost. She gave me two meals for free, one of which was one the best meals I've ever had. She also drove me to and from the bus ...
Staff were always on hand to help with any questions. We stayed in a private room off of a dorm (which was empty for our entire stay)- our room was an adequate size and had a private bathroom. Location is perfect - off the Main Street to the square I'm Brasov. The kitchen was perfect to chill out in and tea is coffee is provided :) lovely stay!
GOOD CITY HOSTEL FOR THE BUDGET IN BUCHAREST. LOCATION IS GOOD AND STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL!
the staff are very helpful and the hostel is located near a supermarket
Amazing views, great host, room was clean. Property definitely 5*
Room was very big and had a working fireplace. The owner was very helpful and pleasant, gave us tons of information on the area. Only complaint was that the hot water heater wasn't plugged in when we got there, and didn't work well.
Room was simple but had enough amenities . Close to promenade . Love how quaint the hotel is. Staff polite n helpful . Got us a lovely tour to see the Delta .
We really enjoyed our stay here so much that we stayed extra days. We were a little worried about the name and the fact that we were in Romania not Japan but everything was perfect.
Everything was good, location is not the best though, it's not in the center, but other than that it was awesome.
Staff are very friendly. Quiet location. Amazing view!
What a place! The only thing that beats the charm of this authentic Pensiune is the warmth and helpfulness of the hosts. Located central in the citadel, rooms are cosy clean & full of character, comfy bed and good showers. Internet was stable, the free morning coffee was strong! Also offers free bycycles for guest to use. Hosts were so nice, they helped us so much arra...
Excellent for everything. Owner was very helpful any time we had a question. Went out of his way for everything. Would highly recommend for anyone and would stay here again.!!
Pensiunea Melisa is a little bit out of town, near to the independence monument, historic churches and the town sign, on one of the city's seven hills. It is very quiet, with a little shop opposite, and a basic bar just down the road. A taxi into the port cost just 9 lei (under £2), so inexpensive if you don't want the half hour walk with baggage. We'd stay there again...
Very helpful, extremely reasonably priced, friendly, above and beyond service, great location and amazing walks / scenery.
The room is clean . But the location is not so good ...parking is verry little.
good
The stay was according to the stars of the Villa. We stayed there for two nights and everything was ok. . The towels were changed, there was hot water all the time and even though we got there very late, someone from the staff waited for us.
The owner is super friendly and offered us whiskey and snacks the moment we arrived. The hotel has a nice terrace where you can just sit and chill out. The room is spotless and has strong hot water. Since we were going to Turda the next day but found that there was no direct public transport, the owner managed to find a friend to get us there, to the point that he eve...
Excellent place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful pool. Relaxing surroundings. Great bargain.
Even for short time impressed about kindness and the way and behaviour of personnel on arrival, during our stay and up till last minute.
+very friendly staff +family-run +bathtub -no toilet paper -no hot water one night -I could be wrong and don't want to start a rumor if not true, but I seem to have bedbugs and may have gotten them here

stay was perfect I recommand this hotel to every business traveller who stay over in Romania. Hotel is owned by Italians so they spent a lot of attention to the customers specially Italians. One minor thing, they promote at internet the hotel is based down town however this is not 100% right. the rest is super!!
Very nice place for a short stay at Sibiu. Perfect place for a stay, as well very nice Coffee shop on basement, we liked a lot. So highly recommended. Thank you
PROS: - given the central location and nearby crossroad, very quiet rooms - best hotel beds in Romania - extremely clean - fast check in - good value for the money CONS: - hotel came in the years, especially the bathrooms - staff is efficient but not really friendly - if your schedule allows, don't take breakfast - too expensive and limited choice - walk instead to ...
I’d originally wanted to stay in something more ‘authentic’ but we decided on the Hilton which was a perfect choice. Lovely room, very friendly staff, great location, cannot fault!
Stayed 2 days, heading back to Romania. Ask for Adi the manager. Can't wait to go back and see more of Romania 😊
From the time you park your car in front of the hotel (in a private courtyard!), you are welcomed by the Bell Boy. And it continues ... friendly and efficient check-in, help to the room, and, if you care for it, a MICHELIN star-quality (in my opinion) French cuisine restaurant under the stars, with a romantic guitar player (slightly too loud PA system, though). Outsta...
one of the better hotels we stayed at in Cluj. Location is great so you can walk everywhere. the room we had was large with a balcony looking onto the square and the church :)
staff ok. we have room with sea view, the room was ok with the price. Nice hotel.

The hotel is beautiful with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It is a 5 min walk for the old centre of Sibiu. The breakfast is nice with a good variety of things to chose from. We requested 2 cots for the youngest children and they were already in place when we arrived. Definitely recommended !!!!! .
loved our stay at this hotel, very elegant, great food, very clean, nice pool, just outside Bucharest in Snagov - about 30min drive of the city center, highly recommend it.
Grand is the word. room-spacious,accessories top class. Clean. Neat. Worth every penny,
Large, clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast (only minus, you have to pay for it, it is not included)
The hotel is excellent with a great value for the money. Clean, comfortable and large rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and will help you in anyway they can. We are completely satisfied with our stay and will definetely stay in Tresor Hotel for the next time. There is no need to search for another hotel to stay in Timisoara.
Wonderful, fantastic, luxurious, relaxing, elegant.. Had an amazing weekend. Definitely the best thing about Bucharest
Pleasant staff, high standards, welcoming fresh fruits and coffee in the room. Forest restaurant is a must. Free access to sauna and jacuzzi included in the room price. We decided to go for a massage as well and were very happy to meet Marius, such a knowledgeable physiotherapist, who not only did a great massage (we went for cervical, short relaxing massage and full...
very nice villa, extremly clean, located in a quiet area with 2 very good restaurants nearby. to get from downtown to villa takes you 2 min by car/taxi. Really recomended for a relaxing time
Excellent location and service, very good restaurant. Beautiful new design, fresh, clean and ... Hopefully soon again.
Excellent service, far from what we have encountered in Romania. They always looked to give us the best service and make our stay pleasant. Surely we will be back in winter.
Excellent. The place to be recommended.
Superb hotel, exceptional service and breakfast Great price. I highly recommend it.
Very nice location
