Romania hotels & accommodations

Hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice and helpfull. Coffee and tee given in the room. We had a large flat with 2 bathrooms and a washing machine wich is handy. The location is not the best but mot very bad either and the taxy in there is very cheap, to get to the center of Bucharest we used to pay the equivalent of 2 pounds. Masive Carefour shopping center...

We very much enjoyed staying in Unirea Hotel. The staff is professional, breakfast was of high standard, and our room had an amazing view. They even packed for us a breakfast since we had to leave early, which was very appreciated. What we liked less was the spa. The process was a bit heavy if you just want to dip in the pool for a bit. The bracelets, keys, and swimmin...

Great place with the best staff in a hotel that I have seen for a long time. They go beyond the call of duty and are very helpful and knowledgeable of Bucharest and Romania. My kudos to them. Like most Romanians, they are very friendly. I would stay here again.

Iconic hotel for the capital of Romania - even if the rooms are not ultra-modern, it retains the charm of old luxury. Impeccable cleanliness and comfort - in the room there is water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate (free). The acces at the spa is free - not crowded during the period visited. Breakfast at Corso Brasserie fabulous - both the quality of the food and the gener...

The hotel is in a great location close to everything we needed. The rooms are huge and immaculately clean. The food was lovely and the choices were great for breakfast and in the restaurants. The hotel history is super exciting and it hosts numerous famous faces! The highlight for me had to be the staff. All were great but in particular the head concierge was so helpf...

I've stayed here lots of times; having worked in Bucharest for 18 months. If you smile or talk to the staff they respond fantastically, but then I've always found Romanians are among the freindliest and helpfull people around (well maybe not to each other but to non Romanians!!). The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town; within walking distance...

The hotel was arranged through Viking Cruise Lines and check-in was a breeze, taking only a few minutes. The room was very clean, bed comfortable, and pillows easy to sleep on. The bathroom had an abundance of toiletries, which were restocked the very next day. Check-out was also hassle-free and if necessary, the bell hops will hold your luggage. Great job Sofitel, and...

We were expecting a bit more, but overall it was not a bad experience. The staff spoke the best english I`ve heard in transyvlvania, room was spacious, cleaning was great and respectfull, breakfast plentifull. It is a good hotel for business travellers. Wifi is also free, though you need to log in every 24 hours which was a bit annoying after staying in smaller county ...

Overall it was a nice stay for one night. The only dissadvantage was that their computers are not linked together, making me wait for the airport shuttle i requested through my agoda booking. I had to telephone at the hotel to let them know i have a reservation for that night and that i`m still waiting for them to pick me up. In the end, they sorted out everything, but...

i think this hotel was the best choice i made with my spending in romania. it's located in the heart of the old town street full of night life and good restaurants and mall district. tons of things to see and meet cool people. the receoptionists are very kind and helpful. plus they are very cute as well. the price is also very resonable not more than 60usd per nigh...

Good location. Fitness room is separated from the hotel and you need to pay 20 Ron to access it. No clothes iron in room, the only one at the reception desk could be used for free forhalf hour. The hotel's restaurant has decent prices, the breakfast and the overall food is good. In our check out day they opened the restaurant at 06:37 instead of 06:30.

From booking in and the welcome from the door to the farewell and taxi to the Airport, NOTHING was to large or small in the enjoyment of the stay. And WOW the "Handy" phone was brilliant, even if only as a GPS map guide to get you home on the walks around the hotel and city. What was also great the room although on the street side was so quite, OK not a lot of road noi...

The room was very nice with all the features you would want, although it wasn't much bigger than the standard room size for a big city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the location. It was about 15 minute walk to the nearest subway stop and about 20 minutes to the start of Old Town. Normally this isn't a problem, because we like to walk, b...

We had to change our plans at the last minute and the Knonwell and its staff turned our problems into silver linings. The hotel is superb in every way, the rooms are large and extremely comfortable, the bed was fantastic! We had dinner at the restaurant, food and service 5*. The Reception staffs went above and beyond their roles to assist us - booking a car and drive...

stay was perfect I recommand this hotel to every business traveller who stay over in Romania. Hotel is owned by Italians so they spent a lot of attention to the customers specially Italians. One minor thing, they promote at internet the hotel is based down town however this is not 100% right. the rest is super!!
Cheap places to stay in Romania

I had a really great stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are basic but more than I might normally expect for a hostel in this price range. The hostel is right in the old town centre and very handy for all the museums and attractions you might wish to see. It's also located right over Ribs and Beer, which I recommend for food and craft be...

Spent x4 nights at Brasov and had booked two rooms with attached bathroom. My room was located on ground floor where kitchen ; common toilets and reception are, whilst, the second room was in another building facing the reception. Everything was good, comfortable bed, attached LED tv , study table and chair. rubbish were not cleared even though it said rubbish will b...

The hostel is very nice just in the pedestrian road in old Town, is very modern and convinient. The staff is very helpful, I had a little problem with my bed and they sorted out very fast and very good. They also are very open to give advice on places to see and eat.

They came to the station to pick me up and drive to their house even though I arrived at 23:30. The location is very good as it's 1min walk to the old town. They have 2 pretty dogs and both of them are smart and cheerful. The beds are very comfy as a reasonable hostel. In the morning, they served me a cup of coffee and some cakes. It's the best stay in my life, can't s...

Staff were always on hand to help with any questions. We stayed in a private room off of a dorm (which was empty for our entire stay)- our room was an adequate size and had a private bathroom. Location is perfect - off the Main Street to the square I'm Brasov. The kitchen was perfect to chill out in and tea is coffee is provided :) lovely stay!

The village is wonderful, full of Romanian rural and natural ambiance . The room is really small, just with the bed and a chair, and no space for nothing more, with a shared bathroom . But OK for just one night and with this low level of prices who takes care ?

What a place! The only thing that beats the charm of this authentic Pensiune is the warmth and helpfulness of the hosts. Located central in the citadel, rooms are cosy clean & full of character, comfy bed and good showers. Internet was stable, the free morning coffee was strong! Also offers free bycycles for guest to use. Hosts were so nice, they helped us so much arra...

Pensiunea Melisa is a little bit out of town, near to the independence monument, historic churches and the town sign, on one of the city's seven hills. It is very quiet, with a little shop opposite, and a basic bar just down the road. A taxi into the port cost just 9 lei (under £2), so inexpensive if you don't want the half hour walk with baggage. We'd stay there again...

The owner is super friendly and offered us whiskey and snacks the moment we arrived. The hotel has a nice terrace where you can just sit and chill out. The room is spotless and has strong hot water. Since we were going to Turda the next day but found that there was no direct public transport, the owner managed to find a friend to get us there, to the point that he eve...

PROS: - given the central location and nearby crossroad, very quiet rooms - best hotel beds in Romania - extremely clean - fast check in - good value for the money CONS: - hotel came in the years, especially the bathrooms - staff is efficient but not really friendly - if your schedule allows, don't take breakfast - too expensive and limited choice - walk instead to ...

From the time you park your car in front of the hotel (in a private courtyard!), you are welcomed by the Bell Boy. And it continues ... friendly and efficient check-in, help to the room, and, if you care for it, a MICHELIN star-quality (in my opinion) French cuisine restaurant under the stars, with a romantic guitar player (slightly too loud PA system, though). Outsta...

The hotel is beautiful with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It is a 5 min walk for the old centre of Sibiu. The breakfast is nice with a good variety of things to chose from. We requested 2 cots for the youngest children and they were already in place when we arrived. Definitely recommended !!!!! .

We arrive to Sarea-n Bucate in afternoon, we good family room on top of the house. The place is very beautiful, locate in middle of green hills, peaceful and and green. We order some good in restaurant that was extra good and tasty. In addition, Troda Salina is in other side of the road (5 mintues walk by foot) We had been sorry we stay only for one night and hope to...

Pleasant staff, high standards, welcoming fresh fruits and coffee in the room. Forest restaurant is a must. Free access to sauna and jacuzzi included in the room price. We decided to go for a massage as well and were very happy to meet Marius, such a knowledgeable physiotherapist, who not only did a great massage (we went for cervical, short relaxing massage and full...
