Upgraded to Duta Village Beach Resort”
we are happy to be upgraded to duta village beach resort as duta sands seems isolated of guests when we check in on a saturday afternoon. moerover, we were asked to have our breakfast at duta village which is abt 5km away. nevertheless, we appreciated the staff at duta sands who assisted us in the trafer to duta village. our comments will therefore be abt duta village. didnt get to appreciate the facilities and surrounding beach area as we had to go to kemaman the whole day. look forward to enjoy what duta village has in our nest trip.

Best hotel during my trip”
the chalet location is very good, next to main road, easy access to petrol pump, local food stalls and beach. for the price i paid, i got a very comfortable room, good breakfast and good hospitality. parking area also very nice and can park your vehicle with proper assurance. the beach is fantastic for everyone and we enjoy ourselves here but have to put attention to tidal and big wave since our holiday was at the end of monsoon season.

The signboard to the hotel - NONE. Should make at least signboard showing duta sand exist. chalet is spacious and big enough for my family, friendly service, only the room is like no maintenance done. Need to improve at least paint it, make improvement to the room, and last but not least change the ketle

Cheap hotel with a great beach”
I stayed at this resort as a stop over on my way to Kuala Besut. First off, the rooms are cheap so do not expect a 5 star resort. With this kind of expectation, you will enjoy your stay here. I did not take a chalet, I took a deluxe room and it was good. The resort is just beside the beach which is awesome and the beach is very clean and the water very clear. Even at low tide you will be able to enjoy some wadding in the water. Did not have my meals at the resort, I crossed the road to a restaurant just nearby. The pool isn't very clean though and the kiddie pool looked like a stagnant puddle of water. But I really liked the garden setting. Overall, enjoyed my stay there.

Well my family and I reach our destinations (Duta Sands) at about 10:30am. when we got out of our MPV, we were quite shock and disapointed at the out look of the resorts. It looks deserted and not much up-keep. On the far right of the resorts, you can see at least 1/2 dozen run down camper-van all rotting away (It's an eye sore). And the beach is dirty. We checked-in at about 15:00 pm after sight seeing at Cherating, and after comming back from our meal at Kuantan town we started to gather our bags and head off to the room (D401). The room was quite ok overall, not very particular (1 to 10 = 5). It is totally different from the web-site and the brosure we got it at site.

Great Location but Rundown Room”
the location is great. located by the beach, in a secluded kampung setting but not too far from kuantan town which has all the trappings of civilisation. so we had shopping trips in kuantan and had a great rest at the resort. the rooms were however already rundown and need a major refurbishment. there were holes in the bathroom door due to water seepage and some of the lights did not function. moreover, there were frogs in the bathroom and they were not afraid of people. 3 frogs actually leaped into the room when my wife opened the bathroom door. this is taking getting chummy with nature a bit too far!

Book Duta Sands, but when arrived was fully book and as excess quest we were told to check-in at Duta Village which few km further. Does not matter, the place look nice with bigger pool and clean sandy beach. But the chalet look old, smelly of mould and toilet also not running well. overall children happy staying there, but the pool for fully attire swiming suit not been enforced. Every body with fully clothing also jumped in, irritating guest with proper gear.

suitable for small family vacation by the beach”
for a small family that looks for value for money accomodation by the beach in Kuantan then this is the place, of course it does not come with full luxury but for a reasonable price you will get a spacious room, a small swimming pool for the kids and quiet serroundings at night..lastly you can also buy fresh seafood from fisherman who lands their boat next to hotel around 5pm

Great location with average facilities”
it such a lucky day for us as our booking has been transferred to duta village resort due to some technical problem at duta sand beac resort. for us for nett nothing to complaint so much on the quality of facilities as long as it is located at beach side, clean toilet, functional minibar, tv are quite acceptable. nothing to be proud of on the surrounding facilities but the beach is beautiful.

Value for money”
My family and I stayed there during last Eid Holidays.We book chalets, side by side. Upon entering the room ( we book the deluxe chalet) we were surprised with the size of the room which can easily cater for a family of 6. The swimming pool even though is a little bit modest in size was actually 10 steps away from my room. The hotel however needs some refurbishment and can be seen through their old furniture. The beach was not that clean. May it is because the hotel was situated adjacent to a fishing village though it was a good experience watching them in action very early in the morning.

Dont let the proximity to the beach fool you. This is no resort for the beaches. If you are planning to stay somewhere not too far from Kuantan, but not in the heart of town, this place is perfect. If you are planning to go to the beach, be prepared to be disappointed.

Basically duta sand is an old hotel but it is still acceptable due to its rate. For a small family thats not so fussy, it is ok, there is swimming pool for the kids, its nearby to the sea and plenty of stalls around.

i would just say its a moderate hotel but for the services and facilities provided, its a bit over rated..why, the rate was inclusive breakfast but the breakfast is served at Duta Village which is around 6 to 7 Kms apart. me being a local, i would rather find some food just outside the hotel which is off course nearer than the said Duta Village. the room was OK, not as nice but acceptable.. the toilet is not to my satisfactory, maybe its just me too hygienic.. the pools was not really cleaned, with sands on the base.. the children pool was full of leaves and i did not allow my kids to use it..

Spacious chalet but poor maintenance”
The management of the chalet has to seriously & urgently take into account about the maintenance of the chalet. The location is good, which is very near to the beach, but the facilities and the ambiance have to be upgraded. The breakfast was served not at Duta Sands but we have to go to Duta Village, which is about 5km away. More facilities have to be made available. However, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not that bad Chalet ”
Before check in, from others review we are expecting very lousy service and all, but it turn out quiet good one of our unit toilet can not flash, they manage to change us to another chalet Our air-con not working, the electric socket no electric we can't charge our electronic stuff, the light in front our chalet not working, all this was fixed after we came back from dinner Only thing can't change is the toilet seat ~ dirty the swimming pool is dirty too! my 2 years old and family members like the beach

pretty chalet with nice beach view”
the pool and landscape may need upkeeping and the place looks a little run down. bit pricey for the place given it's overall outside appearance. but was pleased with the room and bath. the beach was cluttered with litter, but the sand soft and the water clear. if they cleaned the beach, would be romantic and lovely.

Good Location To Crash The Nite”
Overall the hotel is unkempt. Repairs and maintenance are not done to the rooms on the lights, plumbing, airconds, curtains etc. Dusty too. The landscape and pool didn't even resemble the pictures in the net. We just used the place to sleep at night and most of the time we spent time at Cherating Beach n Teluk Chempedak. However, the staff were friendly and accommodative but with the attractive offered price, I guess there is nothing much to complain.

Quiet resort”
Clean rooms with quiet beach. I love the rooms facing the sea. Could hear the waves while falling asleep and when waking up :)
