Mowbray Court Hotel
Earls Court,London - View on map
"This hotel is often full; no wonder given the appalling standard of a lot of London hotels in this category. The Mowbray is a bit of a surprise inside. The common areas are light, fresh and guest friendly. The rooms vary: some are VERY small, but still adequate, while others are quite roomy. All have modern bathrooms, which is a real relief, although I would say that a bit of attention to cleaning detail now will save a lot of unnecessary maintenance later. The staff are reserved but always helpful. The location is perfect being just around the corner from Earls Court Station and busy, bustling Earls Court Road. I would definitely recommend this hotel in the three-star category; however, sometimes the price is on the high side. Book early to get value for money. "

Travelodge Kingston upon Thames Central

"The hotel was clean, convenient and functional without any frills - as all Travelodges are. My complaint is that the desription on Agoda said the hotel had parking - which was my reason for selecting it. There was no hotel parking - only NCP carparks nnearby. This was misleading."

Ibis London Earls Court Hotel
West Kensington,London - View on map
" Overall my stay at the Ibis London Earls Court hotel was good except a very unpleasant experience with one of a senior staff at the information counter on the first day. Had requested to retrieve my baggage from the depository room as I needed to take out my jacket from the baggage due to the unexpected cold weather in London (as it's my first trip in London - unaware that the weather would turn cold despite a sunny day). However, the senior staff was rude and did not want to assist me to retrieve the baggage and he complained that I was delaying his job and he could not go back to the information counter. Hence, I had to do a search and retrieve the baggage myself and had to slowly push aside other travelers' baggage before I could reach my baggage. The senior staff just stood there and kept grumbling that I could have taken my jacket out before I deposited it (my room was not ready for early check-in and thus, I had to deposit my baggage with the hotel). I was shocked by the service provided. First time encounter such service from a hotel, I had stayed at Ibis hotel in Thailand and the hotel staff there was much more service-oriented and was always willing to assist customers."

Queens Park Hotel
Hyde Park,London - View on map
"Don’t be fooled by the double / twin room (when selecting twin beds as preferences) it basically means which ever is available they will assign you. Therefore our preference was a twin bed but it wasn’t available until about 4 days into our 6 nights stay. (Involves asking every morning) lesson learnt for next time. Other than the staff was helpful. Location was the best if you plan to hop in a London tour bus or catch a train (less than 5 mins - less than 10 if you walk suppppppperr SLOW!) Didn’t take up the breakfast buffet on offer, but you have sooooo many options in the next street. "

Travelodge Gatwick Airport Central
Gatwick Airport,London - View on map
"Friendly, helpful staff at Reception and in the restaurant/bar. The room was spacious, pleasantly cool on arrival rather than overheated like most hotel rooms. Travelodge beds are very comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished and restful on the eye. Internet works well – but costs £3 per 24 hours extra. I like the fact that at Travelodge hotels you can pick up more tea, coffee, milk & sugar in the lobby if you need it without having to ask. The hotel is not far from Gatwick Airport – there is a bus from stop No. 8 which will bring you to the Travelodge – current fare £4 (from both North & South Terminal). Overall, a very pleasant stay if you're arriving very late at night or heading out very early."

Novotel London West Hotel
Hammersmith,London - View on map
"I stayed only 1 day in this hotel in the Hammersmith district. This hotel made me a fan of NOVOTEL Hotels. Great location. Hammersmith is just another shopping and drinking haven of it own. The NOVOTEL here doesn't look like its 4 stars. It is 5 star. Big building, spacious rooms, great facilities, clean, effective staff. Its near to the Hammersmith Tube station which brings you directly to every important sightseeing and watering hole in London. Having stayed only 1 night, I felt that it was too short and would have extended if not for the fact that I have booked my flight back. "
