Great hotel”
I found this AVNI Kensington while trawling the net for a reasonable hotel near Royal Albert Hall. Yes the room was small, as was the bathrom, but both spotlessly clean, which I rate as essential anywhere. When In London I just want a clean place to shower and sleep, so this fulfilled the job perfectly. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast (included) was a buffet, quite basic but well stocked with bread, fruit, cereals, jams etc...The service in the breakfast room was superfsat and eficient. I would not hesitate to recommend the Avni as a well located, comfortable and friendly hotel.

Great hotel in nice location.”
This is the second time I've stayed at the Avni. The staff are always polite & helpful and the hotel is smart & up to date. Although there is no cooked option the breakfast is also very good with five choices of cereal aswell as yogurts, fruit & toast along with the usual tea, coffee & juices. The rooms are of a good size and don't feel cramped and the towels are replaced every day. The location of the hotel is excellent. Gloucester Rd tube station is a five minute walk & South Kensington is only a short walk also. Gloucester road has various takeaways & restaurants and also a Tesco metro & Waitrose. The area is family friendly and has a nice atmosphere around it. I recommend this hotel to solo travellers & families as it offers good value for money in a good location.

A Week in London”
Great time at Avni Kensington. Best part was the big free breakfast (get there early, it gets busy!) Most staff were kind and helpful, no problems. Location is a 5 min walk to the subway, in a nice safe neighbourhood. On Gloucester Road there's some restaurants and marts (I recommend 'Forum Cafe'). Room was a bit small, and hotel is a bit old, but room had decent wifi (most days) and modern furniture. Heat in the room was a bit finicky, and one day there was loud noise from construction in the back alley. Overall, a good place to stay and not too bad a price.

Great value for money”
I enjoyed my stay at Avni hotel and would definitely recommend it to those on a mid-range budget. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and able to help me with booking of restaurants, attractions and day trips out of london. Rooms were clean and room service was efficient. London being an expensive place, the hotel was definitely great value for money especially if you're just interested in having a room to stay and not interested in using hotel facilities like gyms and swimming pools (there was none). Breakfast was included each day although the spread was nothing to shout about. Just basic breakfast food like bread and cereal and milk.

Good Location, Clean and Modern”
I was a guest for one night after finishing a conference at a 5* hotel nearby. Avni was chosen on price and location but turned out to be a clean, modern accommodating place and the stay was pleasant. Room was good for this price and location, all very clean and freshly painted. A newly renovated bathroom and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was good - continental but with a wide choice and plenty supplied - fruit, cereal, yoghurt, plenty of hot drink options. The staff were professional but friendly and accommodating enough. A nice hotel that tried hard and is modernizing. Recommended and I'd stay again at the Avni

Convenient and comfortable - bit pricey ”
This hotel is centrally located in Kensington. Walking distance to the tube and the local area. The big bus hop on hop off bus stopped 500 m from hotel which was super handy. The staff were also willing to make bookings and offer advice - although in regards to buses they felt very strongly about one company instead of the other... The room was small but it is London and the shower was tiny. But it was comfortable and clean. Only downside was it was 28 degrees in London and there was no air con. My biggest complaint is the no wifi in rooms. Having to sit in the lobby to access the Internet is ridiculous in 2013. Considering the price was not cheap I would think free wifi is not too much to ask.

Good Location, Clean Moden Rooms, Value for Money”
My 3rd stay at Avni Kensington and the convenience and standards are as good as ever. Well located near the Gloucester Rd Tube (Piccadilly Line) and the museums it serves the purpose at a good price. The rooms are small but functional and have good tea/coffee in the room, good heating, a clean modern bathroom and a reasonable breakfast with plenty of supplies it is a place I would use again.

Very good”
Located in an beautiful part of London and very close to shops and public transport. The Avni Kensington looks grand from the outside but that's where it ends. The hotel room was tiny with curtains that barely closed. I didn't think it was possible to make a shower so small, but yes, it was. Breakfast was basic, but ok and served in the basement. I would not stay there again.

Centrally located hotel in a quiet neighborhood.”
We stayed at Avni Hotel for 9 days/8 nights. The hotel was located in a quiet neighborhood in a posh part of central London - Kensington area. Underground station, bus stations, convenience stores, local restaurants are two blocks away. The hop on, hop off buses' stop is also two blocks away. Wifi was only available in the lobby. Check-in and check out were fast. The breakfast consisted of the same kinds of food everyday - ham, tomatoes, bread, juices, milk, cereals, yogurt, apples, bananans etc. I will recommend this to my friends planning to stay in London next time.

Great hotel and friendly staff”
i was very surprised to find a hotel in this location at the price i paid, and rather expected the worst. however, there was little i could fault it on. it was 3 minutes walk from the tube, on a quiet street yet just 10 minutes by foot from the s kensington museums. there were plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity, all the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean. having booked a single, i was pleasantly surprised that the room was actually reasonably spacious. the only complaints i would have is that the shower was rather pathetic and the room was extremely hot at night, even though there is a fan provided. i would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location”
The Avni is in a great location - easy walking distance to Gloucester Road or Earl's Court tube stations. We arrived a bit early, and the staff were happy to let us leave our bag in their luggage room. Our room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. The entire room was spotlessly clean and the decor was simple, modern style. My only minor gripe was that the shape of the shower cubicle, and the angle of the fixed shower head meant that I couldn't really get myself under the water! Breakfast was pretty simple (toast and cereal), but it was included in the price, and was fine for a single night's stay. Free wifi was available in the room, but I didn't get round to connecting, so I can't really comment on the performance... but always nice to have it included in the hotel price. All in all, a good, clean hotel in a great location, at a price that makes it excellent value for money.

Great quality vs. price balance”
it was our third time in london, so we had been looking for weekend hotels before in the city and we had payed higher rates in the past for very old and not-so-clean places. we found the avni hotel and were surprised that included even breakfast for less than other hotels in the king's cross area, for instance. the avni hotel is a completely renewed building, with lift to all floors and a big area for breakfast in the basement. our bedroom was nice and clean and the tube station nearby (gloucester rd) is very convenient if you fly to/from heathrow, since you have the picadilly line (also perfect to get to the centre).

Great location, great value for money”
a very affordable hotel in a good location. the facilities are adequate - not luxurious but reflecting the price paid whilst answering all basic needs. standard rooms are quite small but very clean and comfortable. small problems were dealt with promptly with great willingness and courtesy. hotel is only a short distance from two tube stations in a respectable, quiet and pleasant area, near to south kensington museums and gloucester road shops/transport. self-service breakfast was included in rate we paid, was very simple but perfectly adequate (toast, cereals fruit and fruit juice).

Great location, Budget ”
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Avni Hotel. Small room, but comfortable and with great amenities. We weren't able to eat breakfast at the hotel, but it smelled tasty. The location is perfect for exploring central London. Easy to get to Heathrow by direct Tube. Overall I would definitely stay here again, especially for the fantastic value.

Great Hotel in Great location”
my two grandsons and i had stay at the avni and would definitely stay there again. five minutes to gloucester road tube station meant we were able to get around london with ease. also very near the natural history museum, v & a museum and the museum of science and technology and harrods. the staff were all friendly and helpful

Nice hotel. Does what it says on the tin”
Very friendly staff. Clean and bright but our standard double room was a little pokey. The weather was extremely hot and we were disappointed to find that there was no air conditioning, which we thought was standard in four star hotels. Since we were in an attic room with a small window it was difficult to ventilate the room and cool down at all! If I had paid the hotels own listed price I would be disappointed but as Agoda found a very reasonable deal I am pleased, overall, with the Avni. I didn't get up early enough for the breakfast so cannot comment on the food.

London Visit”
We lucked out with the Avni because we got an upgrade. The regular Avni was having some maintenance done so they moved us to their "luxure serviced apartments." We got the "studio" apartment which was HUGE! We had our own mini-kitchen, which was very nice, but we didn't use as we were only there for 2 nights. We had a nice, comfortable King-sized bed. The bathroom was nice, but it was designed very strangely, so whenever we used the sink or shower, water got everywhere. The location of the hotel was really nice! Lots of cute restaurants nearby and the underground station was only a 2 minute walk. We were very happy with our stay!

Good location”
Booking was screwed up upon arrival as they have no room for us. Was put into the Avni service apartment for 1 night which was supposed to be better but we got a basement unit which was weird with 2 pillars in the room. Shower water was not hot and there was no kettle. Was told they ran out of kettle which was ridiculous considering it's a service apartment. Only got the kettle after scolding the staff. The service apartment was also noisy as you can hear people running, moving above. We were upgraded to deluxe double room when we were moved back to the hotel, which was good. Reasonable size although the basin was tiny. Toilet seemed newly furbished. Breakfast was included and is busy in the morning. Spread is simple with toast and cereals but no cooked food. Hotel is located near Gloucester tube which is very convenient to access to main attractions and along the Piccadilly line to the airport. There is also a supermarket at the tube station and restaurants around the area.

Good location and service”
Avni hotel is located to the center of London and you can walk to Kensington Garden and Hyde Park. And the area is very quiet and peaceful. The price is also good.
