A bit tattered around the edges, but still a great deal”
The Harrington Apartments have two very important attributes to offer: a great location and great value for the price. The Apartments are a two minute walk to the Gloucester Road Tube Station. We left the hotel at 7:00 AM and were at Heathrow at the gate in an hour and fifteen minutes on the Piccadilly line. Virtually anywhere in London is easy to access by Tube. Also, the museum district (Victoria and Albert, Science and History Museums are about a 10 minute walk away. The carpets on the stairs are worn and other bits of the building could use a bit of love to spruce them up. But the rooms are very clean and daily maid service is included. As a bonus, it's about a fifteen minute walk from our favorite restaurant in London, Rocca. We've dined there for years and in a sea of overpriced, under delivering restaurants, you cannot beat the food and prices of Rocca. We've stayed at the Harrington many times and shall stay there again.

Well located Comfortable Apartment”
We stayed at Avni Luxury Serviced Apartments for our last 2 nights of the London trip and were impressed with the following: Proximity Upon stepping out from Gloucester Station, Avni is on the right side of the station. Take a 5mins walk from the station towards Harringtons Garden. Avni is a red-bricked low rise building. On the right side of Gloucester Station is Gloucester Arcade where there's a huge supermarket Waitrose and chain store Garfunkels where you can dine. Waitrose has a huge alcohol selection, from beer to wine to champagne and there's the wet section where one can buy raw food for a cook out when staying at Avni (there's a huge kitchenette in the apartment). There's a lot of dining options around Avni and Gloucester Station. To name a few, there's Nandos, Paul's, Garfunkels (within Gloucester Arcade) and Olives Restaurant and Bar. The Room It's a serviced apartment (we had the Studio Deluxe, a complimentary upgrade from Studio) and there's a huge bathroom (no tub thou) with heating rod that is great for drying your towels and a huge kitchenette that comes equipped with utensils and wine glasses. This is good for families who may want to do a cook out during their long stay. The king sized bed is made up of 2 single beds and first feeling when lying on it, was "too soft", But it is actually very comfortable. There's also a couch in the sofa for guests to sit and watch TV shows. There's a very small lift in the service apartment that is barely enough for 1 passenger + 1 big suitcase or 2 adult passengers with no luggages. Thankful for it though as I understand that there are many hotels or apartments in London that functions without lifts. One thing to note thou is that the service apartment hands out keys (yes, the usual door keys, not card type)when you checked in and they required guests to key-drop when leaving the apartment. Overall, we had a good stay and have decided that we will be back during our next visit.

Exceptional Hotel. Absolutely Stunning.”
Actually AGODA messed up our booking big time. We paid thousands of dollars extra and upgraded from our original booking from a deluxe room to the penthouse and AGODA failed to notify the Harrington Apartment manager of our FULLY PAID for AND CONFIRMED upgrade. We were mortified. The Harrington staff were absolutely amazing - they arranged stay for us in the private apartments next door which are also owned by them. Lesson here is ALWAYS double check yourself directly with Hotel if you make an amendment to your AGODA booking that it is confirmed. Fortunately for us The Harrington staff went above and beyond to help accommodate us. The Harrington apartments are exceptional. Gorgeously fitted out, spacious, clean, secure. Staff are world class - kind, helpful, respectful can't do enough for you. Location is Brilliant- hop skip and jump to Gloucester Road shopping restaurants, cafes, pubs, supermarket and all important Tube Station. Absolutely A1 in every aspect. Extremely Highly Recomend staying here.

Like visiting an old friend”
We have stayed at the Harrington Apartments many times. The location is great, the staff is very friendly and it's great to have such a large accommodation in London. A few negatives. The lift (elevators) not been working for several months. There's a porter available to help with luggage if you need it, but if you're not able to climb stairs, you will have a problem. Also, whomever owns the Harrington owns most of the block. The good news is that the owners doing a significant amount of work to refresh the entire block. We were able to see what the refreshed/remodeled rooms are going to look like. They will be much nicer than they are now, but I fear that the rates will be raised more in line with other London accommodations. We were happy to trade a bit of shabby chic for the great rates. We checked out 11 March and the Apartments were nearly empty. The overall corona virus situation has decimated its bookings.

Really nice”
I was very impressed by The Harrington Apartments. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The apartment was cleaned daily and cleaned well. I don't know if the cleaning staff was supposed to, but on several occasions they washed the dishes that we left in the sink. The location was extremely convenient. The Gloucester Road Tube Station was a block away. You could easily get around London with an Oyster Pass without a lot of expense. There were two groceries stores within one block as well as numerous restaurants. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and eating essentials. We were able to have a quick breakfast at the apartment every day before heading out and cook our Christmas dinner there. There are only two downsides to our whole stay. One was the room we had did not have any walking space at the end of the bed. There was only about 4" between the end of the bed and the wall. It made it difficult to get to the other side of the bed. The other was that they didn't have a coffee pot or french press for making coffee. We definitely plan to stay here on our next visit to London.

Great location in a nice neighborhood”
Loved the location of the Harrington Apartments, much closer to the underground than I'd expected, lovely street full of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, so everything was close by after a long day of sightseeing. We had a studio apartment and loved the size of it and having a small kitchenette was great, we could easily have breakfast before leaving in the morning. Everyone we interacted with was great, really friendly and seemed genuinely glad to have us as guests. If we get back to London, the Harrington is where we will want to stay.

Absolutely no quibbles”
Having lived in South Kensington when I was younger, I still use it as my base whenever I return to London on my frequent overnight trips. For my latest multi-night trip, I wanted more space than just a hotel room and I chose The Harrington over other serviced apartments in the area as due to its non-chain ownership and their flexibility over short term stays. The Harrington is fantastically located within 2 minutes' walk from Gloucester Road tube station: close enough to all the amenities on South Kensington, but sufficiently distanced from the museum crowds. The establishment kindly upgraded me to a two-bedroom apartment on the 4th floor upon check-in (I had booked a one-bedroom) and it was clear that, despite the recent ownership change, the new owners have been modernising the apartment. The flat has plenty of living space with decently sized bedrooms, living room and a separate kitchen: all of which are a particularly notable for the prime SW7 real estate. The city views from the front and rear of the flat are also amongst the better of the (many) hotels I've stayed at in this area. I was already aware that The Harrington is currently undergoing refurbishment and the condition which I found the premises were much better than I had expected from the online reviews I had read. I do not compare the 4* rating to that of a hotel when I choose to stay in an apartment, and I do not often require the guest services of London hotels since I already have my own arrangements in place. However, for the accommodation amenities which I do require - like fast internet connection (there's free WiFi at a decent speed) and daily housekeeping (even the well-stocked crockery were spotlessly clean) - The Harrington delivered to a commendable standard. All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay. The Harrington offers terrific value for money and does not penalise guests for shorter term stays. I would definitely consider this property again for a week-long stay next year.

A hidden gem in London”
i had previously stayed at a three-star hotel for the same price, and that room was smaller than my dorm room and featured a twin bed. so imagine my surprise when i arrived at anvi and was met with a huge one bedroom studio. the apartment was spacious and newly renovated. i loved my queen sized bed, something i never imagined possible in london at the rate i paid. the finishings at anvi were on par with a five star hotel in asia, again, something unexpected in central london. this will be my go-to place for my stays in london. the hotel is literally one minute away from the tube and is located on gloucester road station on the piccadilly line - the same line as heathrow airport so i didn't have to worry about changing the lines while carrying my heavy suitcase. gloucester road station has a lift from the street level to almost the train platform (just one small flight of stairs to the trains).

Nice Apartments in South Kensington”
On arrival we received a friendly welcome at check-in. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were impressed that we could adjust the heating and open the windows, as well as there being air conditioning so temperature was no problem! The apartments are in a good location, only a couple of minutes' walk from Gloucester Road tube station and there are shops, restaurants and pubs close by. The Natural History Museum is only about a 10-minute walk away. The only (tiny) negatives were that the lift is very small and slow; and the in-room safe was a bit temperamental - certainly nothing major though and we would happily stay at the Harrington again if we return to the area.

Perfect stay”
We have booked at The Harrington whilst we looked for a new flat in London and everything was perfect. The staff at the reception and housekeeping are all very welcoming and they truly make you feel at home. The apartments are clean and well decorated. There is everything you need and they are all always available to assist you. We will most definitely Return

The Harrington Apartments is one of the best.”
My stay at The Harrington Apartments was one of the best places I've stayed. It's near to shopping areas, dining areas and train station. The staff was really nice and friendly. The apartment itself was clean and almost have everything we needed. I recommend this place to anyone travelling as family and group and even to individuals who wanted a huge place to stay.

Excellent serviced apartments”
i was really quite impressed with my stay at the avni apartments. i requested a high floor, and was facing the courtyard, so there was quiet and peace but also a good deal of sunlight. my apartment was a standard one bedroom, which included a large living / dining area and kitchenette. there was also a spacious and modern bathroom. the place was cleaned daily and the people at the front desk were very helpful in answering any questions. for a serviced apartment, i would say the service rivaled that of some hotels. i would certainly recommend the avni apartments to anyone staying in london, whether for business or pleasure.

Nice and Clean apartment, well equipped kitchen ”
It was a great experience which we stayed at The Harrington Apartments. We was assigned to the room at lower ground which has no elevator, but the helpful staff was too nice and carry the luggage to our room. Well equipped kitchen and supermarkets was just few minutes walks that you can made your own English breakfast in the room. Room is spacious and bed are comfortable, we had a wonderful sleep here!

Good value hotel in a convenient location”
The hotel is easily reached from Heathrow via the Piccadilly underground line, then a short walk to the hotel from Gloucester Road station. Many nearby restaurant choices, Starbucks, and supermarket. The bedroom was large with a kitchen I didn't use. Bathroom was average but fine. Fast free wifi. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I selected the hotel based on Agoda pricing and excellent guest reviews. After I made the booking on Agoda, I found out from a friend this is his favorite place to stay in London. I wasn't disappointed and will stay here again on my next visit to London.

Great value, super location”
This was our fourth or fifth stay at The Harrington. It offers an unbeatable combination of great value for the price and a fantastic location. It's only a bit over a 100 meters from Gloucester Road Tube Station, which connects directly to Heathrow for £ 3.10. It is not a luxury hotel though. The carpets are a bit threadbare on the steps, but the rooms/suites are serviced daily and spotlessly clean.

Nice stay with fantastic location”
This is the best value for money apartment I have stayed in London till date. Firstly this is located at one of London's prime residential areas where you have pubs, cafesand restaurants at your doorstep, three to five minutes walk to Gloucester road underground station, drug stores, museums. And it is located on Piccadilly circle line where you can conveniently reached the happening areas like Knightsbridge, bayswater, oxford street, Leicester square, convent gardens, notting hills and many more within stops. A very pleasant surprise when we arrived the hotel when welcome by the generous space of the bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen is small but is good enough for simple cooking. This is far generous than most typical apartments in central London. Another important plus feature is it has both air-con & heater

Great room ”
We've booked a triple sharing apartment, it was a great stay. The room is clean & has a big living room equipped with cooking utensils. Very clean & nice cooking equipment. Toilet is big too. Hotel is 5-10min walk from Gloucester Tube Station and nearby are lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful, will definitely choose Harrington again if I visit London again.

Fantastic Location near the tube”
Wonderful place to stay. Older facility (what isn't in London) great hardwood floors, rugs a little worn, but serviceable, one bedroom apartment was great - providing separation from the bedroom and a great Kitchen/Living room. Able to eat breakfast in a quiet atmosphere and when the resturaunt portions are too big - to bring them 'home' and have a 'night in' after long hours in the museums and sights. Close to the tube and on the Picadilly line - straight shot from Heathrow. Many resturaunts in/around the hotel - and the food was good (a bonus). Two grocery stores nearby and a two great pubs.

Clean with modern kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.”
the apartment was cosy and clean. it had two large plasma's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom - although we couldn't quite get the bedroom one to work! the kitchen was very modern and had everything we needed to cook a meal - pots and pans, baking tray, utensils etc. this was quite impressive. the apartment had modern adjustable lighting, and good ac and heating. expected something a bit better for the price, but it's what you get for a posh location in kensington. could hear the traffic at night, but it wasn't too bad. pleasant stay. unfortunately, parking is awful and we had to park at the opposite hotel as advised by reception and paid for an overnight stay. we did not realise we could have parked at a better spot on the street for free due to the bank holiday no charge! i also sent the hotel an email beforehand asking whether our apartment had a bath or shower as we wanted a bath. i received a reply a few days later saying it was a bath...but it was a shower when we arrived.
