"We had a great time in this hotel. Everything was great! Rooms were clean (very clean) on a daily basis and everything was provided. On the last day of staying, check-out was at 12 o'clock (so you don't have to rush in the morning) and we could also use the luggage room on a day of leaving (if you have a late flight home, yoou can spend a whole day in the city without worrying about luggage). The refreshment drink, always at your service in the lobby of a hotel, is a nice gesture as well (one time, we came to the hotel late in the evening, very exhausted from exploring this big city, and we immediately grabbed that tasty cold drink and it was sooo refreshing at that moment, so I guess it serves well for the guests! :) ). Overall, I think is a good value for the money. Location was good too, great connections to the centre (just 2 stops with a tram (tram station is practically in front of the hotel) to the Alexanderplatz - it's a small distance, so you could easily walk as well). And if you want to chill for a little bit and be surrounded by nature somewhere in the area near the hotel, I warmly recommend the Volkspark Friedrichshain with its fairytale statues... The little church is charming as welll. The only complain would be about one person amongst the staff behind the reception desk (not to be misunderstood, the others were great). She was always in a bad mood (despite the fact that we were being nice to her). That kind of attitude just throws you off in otherwise such a pleasant hotel. My partner also complained about the pillow and the mattress being too soft...but that was not such a problem for me. I guess it depends on your taste. Besides that, as I said before, everything was great :), so I recommend this hotel to practically anyone... "

The decor is truly memorable with lots of pink and fluorescent colors. and unique furnishings like the round egg shaped check in desk and rotating TV in the room. You can even have room service bring a keyborad or guitar to your room for free! But best of all the staff was friendly and genuinely interested in helping guests have a great time!!"

"This hostel is a minute away from S/U Bahn stations, and a bunch of supermarkets and Kebabhaus are nearby too. The staff was so nice. I made a casual request asking if I could get a bottom bunk, and to my surprise, there was a note in a bottom bunk saying this bed is reserved for me. This was a quite nice gesture and I super appreciate it. I think the staff member was Lynda.. thanks a lot Lynda. There is also a nice bar with inexpensive drinks in the evening with subtle music too. There is a €2 charge for blankets and linen, which I think is per change, and not per night if you reuse the same blankets. I suppose it's a way to save money and/or get clean sheets as frequently as you want. "

"It was a heatwave and as there is No A/C in the hotel or the rooms it became unpleasant as the temp went over 35+ outside and the room was on the sunny side ... we also did not have hot water for one day, they cut the water a day earlier than announced in the elevator. The check in is VERY late , after 3 pm ! We arrived at 9 am.The area is still Very east German, but two stops from Alexanderplatz. The best was that we could travel for free on all the buses and trains while staying at the hotel. Staff friendly. No free Wi Fi... "
