Very clean and spacious room for very reasonable price. Just off highway to Berlin.
Only one glass bottle of soap in bath, that make it inconvenient and dangerous.

Good location, close to the Autobahn, easy parking close to the hotel entarance.
Complicated self check-in. Had to call the staff, they do not speak or understand English. The key was in keybox on the outside wall. It is fitted with a small combination lock in a poorly iluminated area. Needed glasses and a torch to see the numbers. Booking.com offers a "Very good breakfast". They do NOT serve breakfast (seated or take away).

It‘s a roomy old hotel with piles of old German books everywhere. The whole area seems to be affected by a relative shortage of staff, so you have to be prepared to do a self check-in if you arrive after 2pm.
Vetschau is a nice little town but there are not a lot of restaurants/pubs accessible on foot - we were there on the evening before a holiday and had a difficult time finding somewhere to eat or get takeaway because we hadn’t reserved. The Garni hotel has a kitchen/fridge on the ground floor that is accessible to guests.
