very good and cordial staff.. good facilities and lot of indoor and outdoor games available… but food is expensive, and not tasty better not to have dinner or lunch at the restaurant cost of 1 liter water bottle is 80 rs … other wise its a very good resort ..

Relaxing stay with great food and service”
This place is surrounded with nature, flowing river and lot of birds (especially peacocks). Good place for long stays (2 to 4 days). It is touch expensive and there are no restaurants near by.

The hotel is adjacent a river, and some bird watching is also possible. A hotel to chill out with good ambiance and facilities for cycling and outdoor games / activities etc. The breakfast spread was quite good and dinner yummy. An enjoyable stay.

A pleasant stay with excellent view along the river Vennar. Well trained staff to make our stay homely. Breakfast spread was lavish and tasteful. However, rest of the food needs special attention.

One of the best stay ”
We stayed in the hotel for just for a day. The location of the hotel is in close proximity to the river. My room was facing the river view, which was panoramic. Summary below will be useful: Good points: Very courteous staff. Excellent lobby area, good spacious room, excellent coffee station, closet, washroom & interiors. An excellent restaurant in terms of food quality and variety. Eating beside the river in the restaurant area was so so special. They also provided a goodie bag as a departing gift, which was so much nice. Bad points: Gym missing In nutshell, It was an excellent stay with value for money. I would choose GRT over and over again 😀

I reached there exhausted from Rameshwaram. However the atmosphere there is rejunuvating. Behavior of restaurant staff was too good. Property is maintained well. Kids will have good time in the lawn and pool.

Homely Stay at GRT, Thanjavur”
Beautifully located in the banks of Vennar River, its a good place to relax and unwind with nature. Staff is very helpful (front Desk Mr Pannirselvam and Ms Kokila) and willing to go out of the way to meet your needs. Food at the Cafeteria is great with Senior Chef Mr Sundarlingam). Not to forget to mention the other staff (Chandru, Karthik, Kannan and others) who are always cheerful, smiling and ready to help that makes your stay more pleasant. A few things to note are the steep price during December, rooms can be made more aesthetically pleasing for the rates charged, difficulty in getting hot water during peak times in the morning are some known issues that can be checked. Overall this makes it like staying with a family atmosphere away from home; kudos to all of their services, sincerely appreciate, Thanks!

Decent place to stay in Thanjavur”
We stayed here for 3 night in December 2022. The property is very nice facing the river and staff is helpful. Buffet breakfast was good. The property is a little far from Thanjavur city. So if you do not have your own vehicle, commute is very difficult. Ola drivers refuse to pick you up and the resort doesn't have cab facilities at decent prices. The driver contacts that they provide are all over priced. The quality of lunch and dinner can also be improved. Also play area for younger kids/toddlers is missing. They only have trampoline and an activity center with TT table, carom board etc, nothing for young kids.

It’s a decent place to stay for a relaxed holiday, by the river away from the city. Service, Food options, etc., could be better. Definitely one of the best available options in Thanjavur but need some improvement to be called as 3 star resort.
