Good value of hotel”

Hotel have free shutle bus to/from newark int. airport, pick up point in newark airport is at P4, when you arrived at terminal A, B or C, you have to use shutle airport light train and goes to P4, wait on hotel shutle bus. Free shutle is also transfer to newark penn train station that we can explore new york every time to 33nd street station in midle town to times square area & also goes to WTC in the south to explore liberty statu, WTC memorial. Hotel is also have free breakfast so we can reduce cost daily

Not enough staff”

Arrived at the hotel to a packed lobby of over 25 people waiting to get rooms and there was only one receptionist working the check in counter. Took us 35 minutes to get checked in and on top of that had to here the receptionist curse every 15 seconds when someone’s card was declined. The room itself was big and modern. The breakfast was free for a reason…

We were here for three days and they’re only offering housekeeping services if you stay for four days and more. We only had breakfast on the third day and it was a disappointment. They only offer a corn muffin and an instant oatmeal. No milk for your coffee or tea. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The chair in our room had some stains on it, it was really disgusting😥

Showing Its Age”

Hampton inn is my go-to hotel chain, so was disappointed in this one. Furniture was chipped, carpet was filthy, signage in the slow elevators was torn. Snack refrigerator was practically empty. Promised shuttle service, which was an important factor, was not offered. The staff was often missing at the front desk but I think it was more of a lack of staff than a lack of effort. The hotel was on a riverfront as advertised but was full of trash. Not the hotel’s fault but just one more disappointment. Do not stay here.

Choose another place!”

We booked a 3 day trip and upon walking in I wanted to turn around. Something must’ve flooded because there was fans everywhere downstairs and the baseboards were removed. But things happen so we were willing to overlook this as long as the rooms were nice. We booked a queen suite with view of the River which was nice enough but our room was a freezing 58 degrees and wouldn’t stay warm. My 14 year old daughter and I froze all night at 63 degrees and once I failed to get the heat to work I turned it off and called the front desk at 7:30am. I was told maintenance would be in by 8 so I waited around while my daughter got ready for her event. I went down several times and by 12:30 maintenance still hadn’t come by and we needed to leave. I asked the manager if the heat would be fixed/looked at, soon because we needed to leave. She said her maintenance guy didn’t show up when he was suppose to but no one informed me of this. We were planning to be out late so I asked her if we could just move rooms so we wouldn’t have to come back to a cold room or move everything, after being out in the cold. She brushed me off and one of the other ladies at the counter said that we’d have heat regardless. Came back around 8:30 and the cover was off but still no heat. Had to go back down to the front desk and a new employee called maintenance who verified the heat was not working. I had to hurriedly pack me and my daughters things and move them at 9 at night after walking nyc all day. The king suite we had was warm but there was stains of spills on the walls, general lack of cleanliness and the bed was very old and felt unsturdy. The breakfast and a couple of the employees I encountered were the only good things about this place. No pool, no gym and the 2nd floor hall smelled like urine! I’m glad to be home!

Horrible”

Had to pay for parking when most cars had no plaque. Room carpet has stains and was filthy. Bathroom had no wash rags. Ceiling had mildew. Staff was rude and disrespectful. Never ever will I stay again. Loud music in hallways. Smoke alarm from smoking in other room 1am in morning had to wake up and go outside wait for fire truck.

My room was not ready at all! I booked for 4 guests. there were only 2 towels, 2 conditioners, no shampoo, no soap, pillows and towels missing, broken lamp, no ice bucket, no coffee maker, and the FRIDGE WAS BROKEN. HOURS went by and their "Engineer" couldn't fix it. The cherry on top is the front desk staff are ghetto and RUDE. They treat you like you're bothering them. One of them even called me a bitch. Yes, that's right.

Stay at Hampton Inn near Newark”

Stayed at the Hampton Inn for work July 15-17. Pros: rooms were clean, updated, and quiet. Breakfast had several options (eggs/bacon, waffle maker, as well as more continental items). Staff was friendly and helpful in giving suggestions for how to get into Manhattan. The shuttle, which was more than an airport shuttle as it would take you to the Newark Penn Station and a few other prime locations in Newark, was helpful. Cons: the location is fine, but there are a large number of hotels that are closer to the airport, and would get you to your hotel much quicker. There was only one shuttle that did not just do airport runs, but also dropped people off through Newark (which was a perk, but delayed the airport pick up). I waited an hour and a half for the shuttle. In hindsight, I should have just taken a lyft, but the front desk had told me it would be 30 minutes, and when I called again, told me 15 min. Was peak traffic time, but staff should have been realistic about wait time

Shuttle service. Buffet breakfast. Proximity to Newark Penn Station.

If you are wanting to visit New York City, this is a much cheaper way to do it ($200 bucks a day cheaper than similar hotels in Manhattan). This hotel provides free daily pick up and drop of to any destination around the local area, to include Newark Penn Station. From there you take an inexpensive train ride to New York Penn Station. They have an imressive buffet breakfast, included free to all guests. If you have any question regarding travel in and out of NYC the staff if very helpful. The family all enjoyed our five night stay.

Very pleasant stay”

This hotel is located in a mostly industrial with few restaurants around although the shuttle will take you to different restaurants in the city. The staff of the hotel is outstanding; every staff member with whom I talked was extremely pleasant, responsive and helpful. The hotel is recently refurbished and clean the rooms and bathrooms are large and the breakfast has many choices and is excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

overall everything worked out well, we stayed on the second floor 224, the room was clean, the only thing we didn't like was a musty smell I don't know if all the rooms are like this but bring some ozium just in case, we normally do but forgot.

Nice hotel with a few flaws”

This is a great hotel, once you get inside. The parking is extremely limited. The overflow parking lot is unlit and in a sketchy part of town. We were concerned about parking out there, but ultimately had no issues. It was definitely a little unsettling leaving our vehicle there, though. Once inside, the hotel is great. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. However, the TV didn't operate properly. Wires were hanging off the TV and the remote wouldn't change channels. Also, the refrigerator in our room wasn't functioning (It was late, so we didn't request repairs). Finally, everyone looking to stay in this hotel should be aware that there is a train right next to the hotel. If you're hoping to sleep past 5am, you might want to bring a fan (or two) or maybe some earplugs, because that train comes through regularly every 5-10 minutes. You won't sleep thru it.

Good property, badly managed. Cleanliness is pathetic. Front Office Staff indifferent. Housekeeping a failed department. Shower didn't work and despite complaining no one repaired it.

Prettig verblijf”

Dicht bij newark Penn station voor New York. Free shuttle naar airport. Prettige kamer met frêle wiki en ontbijt

Prima maar en tegenval was dat de de shuttle naar het station alleen tot 23.00 was zodat je een taxi voor 10 dollar moest nemen als je laat uit New York kwam en dat wisten wij niet van te voren. Ok vergeten de hotels in Amerika je te vertellen dat ze zo'n 50 dollar in reservering zetten op je creditcards voor eventuele kosten en dat moet wel gedaan worden volgens mij.
