Very good”
Private room with two twin beds for a couple: For what you pay this hotel is perfectly fine! The location is a little way out of the city centre but so close to public transport it's a nice compromise, plus plenty of entertainment options nearby if you want a quick meal/drinks/coffee. Staff are friendly & helpful, whenever we needed staff it always seemed to be the ladies on the desk, they were lovely & always acknowledged us when passing, the guys seemed pretty easy going too so I'm sure it's a similar story. Generous breakfast for a very fair price, warm building, no guest noise issues, clean room, clean showers with good water pressure, nice big courtyard probably great in the summer. Good first impressions for us so we would definitely recommend, cheers HGL Hostel!

good value for Berlin”
+ 2 minutes from the S-Bahn station Berlin-Charlottenburg, 3 mintues from a bus stop which has a direct connection to TXL in 20 minutes. + spacious room - very crowed luggage storage room at the rear of the hostel, sometimes need to wait a while before the staff has time to walk down and open the room for you - WC/shower not necessarily close to the room - kitchen facility not opened to guests

For young people in groups a gut option ”
No elevators so if you have Heavy packages or you are disabled people it would be difficult. But the stuff is very friendly and we were well welcomed. Not for people who wants luxury but it is suitable for young people and bag packers

Overall;Moderate, price,reasonable”
The hostel is close to a train station , a supermarket nearby. it is convenient to buy and get cheap food from there. I assume the wi-fi in the hostel is so-so, not too bad. I tell you when your laptop goes sleep mode, wi-fi automatically disconnect on my computer. I needed to connect with it over and over again. It might happen because of my laptop?! The staffes serve custmers well, but they don't smile at all. just when i asked one of them to use a microwave to heat up my meal. and she just said to me ' No,sorry' . well she gave me the cold shoulder a bit. I really don't mind about it. but this is what i want to share with someone who may concern to stay here.

Above average”
Breakfasts were was not provided. My single room was horribly planned - kind of a narrow passage bounded with walls where just one single bed can be located. But it costed only 1 euro less than a twin room, so it was overpriced. WiFi was terrible. The shared fridge was dead or dying. Overall the hotel inside is an old smelly hole. The room was clean and packed though. Close to public transportation and shops. For 1 or 2 nights is passable.

Happy-Go-Dirty/Unlucky”
Not even to an acquaintance would I recommend this hostel. And here is why: the women's bathroom near the reception is pure dirt, the door is smeared with greasy dark spots...But wait, you've seen nothing yet..The showers and bathrooms are full of hair, dust, greasy dirty floors, the carpets are grey with dust, some matresses very thin over some makeshift beds...Night until 2 or 3 a.m. teenagers yell, run around, slam doors, turn on the music at full blast, hammer at doors...and the hostel management doesn't care because this hostel lives out of class trips and let them ruin the stay of other guests...Don't turn up the toilet rim otherwise you throw up...The reception tables are greasy and sticky..but hey, who cares? A squalid disgusting place

Not place I wish to be again ”
My room was on a third floor with no elevator. The room was dirty l, I felt like no one cleans the room on a daily basis. The bunk bed were so old that made noise through out the night. Overall, I would never want to stay in that dorm again.

For the price, won't be beaten”
Arrived around 1600 on Sunday, place was busy, but not overly so. Told where my room was (4th floor), and started my ascent. First night, only half the room was occupied, so it was readonably quiet. Second night, slightly more people were booked in, still same, no noise. Only issues would really have to be proximity to railway line, which is also a perk, as it's a 30 second walk across the road with a direct line to the airport or into main town Berlin. Toilet facilities were somewhat limited, 1 male toilet without having to go through Mino's labyrinth to locate them from my room, but it was outstanding as far as hostel facilities go.

Happy - yes, Lucky - yes they include a lot, It's getting sleep that can be a problem”
I stay in dorm rooms and the room mates can be rather challenging if you are unlucky. The Happy go Lucky Hotel attacks more disturbing room mates compared to the other options in the area. This is from over a months experience of switching hostels in the area. Go here if you want easy connections to the rest of Berlin, and the all inclusive and easy hostel. The staff sometimes seems to be affected by being overtired at night, so things can happen. The inclusion of bed linen / bed sheets in the price could mean that this hostel is cheaper for you.

Good Budget Hotel”
I was very happy with my choice as I got everything I need: - clean room and bed; - private bathroom with a shower; - very attractive price for this service. I would recommend The Happy Go Lucky to every budget traveler.

Good location, cheap price”
There is one thing you should keep in mind: you are going to stay at a hostel, so if your expectations are not super high, you'll be fine. It's a good choice if your budget is limited and you don't want or you can't spend a lot of money on accommodation. Don't forget, you'll share a room with 5-6-7 other people, therefore, you should be flexible and acceptable (e.g. some people are snoring during the night, etc.). The staff is nice, nothing special. You have to pay a deposit for the room key, padlock, food container, etc. Location-wise: the hostel would be a good choice. It's located in West Berlin and there are many S-Bahn/U-Bahn lines there, so it's easy to reach the city center.

Great location and friendly staff”
The hostel is just a few metters from S-Bahn station, the neighborhood itself has a lot of shops and places to eat/drink. The hostel has a quiet and friendly atmosphere, with enough space in each (shared) room. The beds are sturdy and comfortable. The staff were efficient and very friendly!
