This is without doubt the best place to stay in Hoi An. Yes the rooms are great, yes the pool is the biggest in town, yes the beds are comfortable, yes the location is a perfect dander to the night market, yes the AC is efficient and quiet, yes the breakfast is superb, yes the rooms are perfect for sleeping in. We have all stayed in lovely hotels and this is definitely a lovely hotel. But having stayed in, I think, 1000 hotels and been a grumpy sausage in most of them I can honestly say I have never met a friendlier or more well trained staff. Nothing has been too much trouble. You need a night train? We will sort it. Date not quite right we will use a friend to get you on the train you want. We will go the extra mile in doing that so as we dont ask for your passport, name, DOB, or any details because we already have those details and asking you again woulc be a hassle. There were five other examples of restaurants trips, buses, room changes. Otganising luggage that were just like this. Honstly we have never met staff like you. If i was opening a new hotel iI would steal these staff. Credit must go to the management. The lift has a sign on it saying if you have a problem, any problem and we will solve it. A big claim but I truly believe they could. As the title of the review says , stay here.

An absolutely delightful experience”
We had initially planned to stay in Hoi An for one night but both the town and Ann Retreat were so beautiful that we decided to extend our stay by 2 days. Airport pick up service was very convenient and reasonably priced. The check in process was smoothly managed by 'Thi' at the reception who very patiently guided us regarding all amenities at our disposal and gave some wonderful suggestions for exploring the city. 'Hoa' at the resort restaurant was very attentive as well and the restaurant made vegetarian options for us quickly upon request. The resort offers free bikes which are in very good condition and 'Khoa' at the resort gate was very sweet and cheerful. The resort location is in An Hoi island which hosts the night market and famous joints like Tiger Bar which you can easily reach by walk or bikes. I also got a good deal on Agoda with the free upgrade, and the room had a beautiful pool-river-old town view from the balcony. The room was quite spacious and had all basic amenities and good set of toiletries. Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Hoi An. Thanks again to the wonderful staff (Thi, Vien, Huong, Anh, Hoa, Khoa and all others) for making our stay so enjoyable.

The best resort in Hoi An ”
The resort is at an excellent location. It has the most amazing staff and the most amazing service. The food was delicious. The staff is very very attentive to all the requests of the guests. I felt extremely relaxed during my stay. I would highly recommend everyone to book the stay at this beautiful resort. I would also highly recommend to go for Spa at this resort. It was magical and felt so calm after the Spa Therapy. Thanks to the entire staff of the resort for making our stay truly remarkable.

We really loved this hotel - nice quiet area on the edge of town out of the hustle and noise. The staff is really exceptionally lovely. Rooms are very nice and facilities are clean and great quality. Only small complaint is that amenities such as laundry are much more expensive than other similar hotels in the region. But all in all a great spot.

Very good, and trying to be better”
My wife and I are a retired couple from the West Coast of the US. We wanted a place that was quiet and clean, and we were not disappointed. We stayed for 5 days in June 2022. The resort is VERY well-run; the staff are prompt, helpful, and -- as far as I can tell after many conversations -- genuinely committed to their work. The location of the resort is about 1 km from Hoi Ann's famous Night Market. For us, this was a good distance: an easy walk, but not so close that were exposed to the boom-boom-boom of discos and karaoke. The room and bathroom furnishings were recent and spotless. There are a number of public spaces to hang out in the heat of the day; my favorite was a shaded pavilion on the grounds with bubbling fountains. The owner is also a hands-on manager, and is actively looking for ways to make the resort more ecologically responsible. We came to stay in the resort soon after Viet Nam re-opened after Covid, and took advantage of a reduced-price promotion, so for us the value for money was excellent. All in all, it was one of the best places we have stayed in Viet Nam.

Great sleep quiet but one block from the action”
We had a good bed and a quiet nights sleep. Our room was just a basic hotel room with balcony but very clean.The hotel has an amazing array of food for breakfast. The staff strive to please and are proud of their jobs. We used the hotel bikes to get around when we could as we stayed when we were flooded in. We were glad to stay at this hotel if we had to be flooded in as their meals are excellent. We also enjoyed our massages at the hotel spa.

Amazing stay. Spent 8 nights as a middle aged solo female traveler. Clean, large, room with usable balcony, and firm comfortable bed. Room cleaned twice a day. Breakfast buffet was best I’ve experienced. Plenty of hot and cold, western and Asian options. Particularly enjoyed selection of fresh salads. Very large adult only pool with plenty of loungers. Large children’s pool is on opposite side of hotel. Staff was very friendly, and always greeted by my first name.. Perfect location. Ancient town is close enough to walk to, but far enough to avoid evening crowd noise. Free hotel shuttle to An bang beach.

I stayed there for two nights and had very good time! All the receptionists were very kind and helpful. I loved to talk to them and share how to do shopping wisely in the old market. Also, bike rental system was very helpful for us to visit places. Shuttle bus system is also good. Driver and security men were all good! I loved breakfast buffet. The room was clean and spacious enough. I spent about 3 hours swimming in the pool. The pool was deep and wide! I took lots of pictures in the garden too. Everything was fantastic!

I had such an amazing stay at the Ann retreat resort and spa! Would 100% recommend this place , it was my favourite hotel in all of vietnam. Everything from the staff, the facilities, the location, food, amenities, was 10/ 10. Staff went out of their way to make sure everything was right.. had an amazing breakfast buffet each day, was nice and close to the old town, they had free bike hire which you could use to ride around town. Every staff member was so thoughtful and helpful eith making sure everything was 10/10.. Do yourself a favour and book here while you are in hoi an! 🥰

Couldn't ask for more”
The location is superb! It's located at a very quiet end of the ancient town, only 10 mins walk or 3 mins on bike (free at the resort). The resort has a lush garden at the front, which is rare for such central location, offering a very tranquil & welcoming feeling. Our rooms are very spacious and clean, we felt like room service cleaned it twice a day. The plus point is it has 2 swimming pools. Adults can enjoy quiet & relaxing swim at their own pool which is far away from family pool that allows kids. We will definitely stay here again!

A Retreat By The River”
I enjoyed my time in Ann Retreat very much. We were greeted by professional and warm hotel staff. They were also very helpful in recommending local spots. Thoroughly enjoyed the free bike rental which helped us explore Hoi An. The hotel facilities and room was very clean and felt new. It was better than I expected since Ann Retreat is a bit away from the old quarter. This also helped create a very quiet and soothing experience. I would recommend using the bikes to travel around. The breakfast selection was sufficient and the restaurant staff was attentive. I would recommend Ann Retreat to any friends and family visiting Hoi An.

Amazing stay from the moment we arrived to the minute we left, originally booked for 3 nights stayed an extra night room was large well appointed with balcony, breakfast was the best we’d had in Vietnam, 2 pools plenty of sun lounges, the staff were all amazing and extremely friendly and happy, great location easy walking to many bars and restaurants great place would definitely stay again. Tip: ask for room away from the metal bridge as it can be very noisy, we had pool/ river view room which was nice and quiet. Great Stay

Enjoyed my stay at Ann Resort. Rooms were well-equipped and service staff were friendly and attentive. The staff at the restaurant checked in regularly during breakfast. The spread at the buffet breakfast was also one of the better ones we have seen with good variety. About 10 mins walk to Old Town area.

Nestled away from the busy and loud ancient town but still walkable to all the attractions, Ann Retreat Resort & Spa is perfect for both travelers on their feet all day that need a comfy and quiet place to crash and those wanting to lounge around and enjoy the view. Pros: _ Great view of the canal and the Thu Bon river _ Location in a quiet area, allowing for restful sleep _ Very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough staff that can communicate flawlessly in English _ Wide variety of high-quality food at buffet breakfast (they box it for you in case of early flights!) _ Free bikes available to go around ancient town (please watch out for crazy Viet traffic though!) _ Airport transportation at lower price than cabs Cons: _ (Cannot think of any, but it was only a two-day stay)

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the old town. The staff were all fantastic, the room was clean and spacious and there was a good selection for breakfast, even on the quieter weekdays. We particularly liked the large adults only pool, which was quiet and relaxing, and the bicycles were useful for cycling around the town if we wanted to go further afield. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Beautiful hotel, very relaxing stay. Room and bed was very comfortable and clean, staff very helpful and great breakfast buffet selection! Free bicycle hire and central location within 10min walk to town or few minutes bike ride. lemongrass spa was a highlight for us. We would definitely love to come back.
