Nice river view and convenient location”
My second time staying with Holiday Inn Wuhan Riverside. Enjoyed a free upgrade to review view room as an IHG member. Staff at both the reception and the concierge were very friendly and helpful as usual.

Comfortable hotel and quite”
This is a modern hotel with English TV channels., those are hard to find in China. The bed was small a twin not a double nor a queen as stated on the advertisement. The bathroom was a 4 piece, cozy and had enough space. They have Wifi and a Lan. The buffet restaurant and most of the others restaurants were all closed by 9:PM except for Toucan Irish pub. Buffet breakfast is from 6:AM to 9:AM only. While I thought I had a free breakfast, it was not on my booking and I had to pay 126 RMB. Not that pricy but I thought it came with the room. The room had a nice view of the river and the scenery was very nice. I would return, as the room was comfortable and I rested well. Thank you Wuhan Holiday Inn Riverside.

Hotel with a breathtaking view”
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel where it is really value for money if you are to book into this hotel with Agoda. It really gives you the international standard that you want. The only problem with this hotel though is the location. It is far away from downtown HanKou and downtown Wuchang. Nothing much to shout about for downtown HanYang. In terms of food, the Japanese restaurant is recommended for its quality in a place like Wuhan but not the in-house restaurant though. That...you can imagine yourself.

Comfortable and affordable.”
The rooms are clean modern and nicely furnished, as expected with a Holiday inn hotel. The staff are good and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There were no special events scheduled for new years eve. My room phone was broken and did not work but, the staff was available to sort out problems. This was the 2nd time I stayed in this hotel. I recommend it. I did have a problem with my Agoda booking though, the room I choose was not the same as the room I had on my reservation. This was not a mistake by the hotel but by Agoda.

Quiet comfort in an industrial city”
Wuhan is not an attractive city and we were merely overnighting. The traffic is heavy so the quiet area and view of the river was well worth the tricky location. There did not appear to be much close to the hotel, but we did not venture far either. China is exhausting and this was near the end of our trip

Great location, you can take the boat to cross the river to the other site, full of shopping places and good food. Nearby the restaurant, there is a chinese restaurant which serve very good Wuhan dishes.

well-preserved recent history”
This was obviously one of the first western-style hotels in town- hence, the prominent riverfront site. But it has enjoyed something virtually unknown in China: good maintenance. Where many first-generation buildings are now quite shabby, this facility has enjoyed upgrades and improvements. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped (room thermometers, bathroom clock) and dining selections surprisingly varied.

Hotel service is good and view is great”
The view of the hotel is great, as the hotel is right besides the Yangtze river. The hotel service is good too. However, there's some hiccups met. We booked a room and indicating 3 persons staying in the room, and because it stated that the room can accommodate 3 persons, that's why we chose that. But without knowing that we need to also request for an extra bed for the 3rd person, the hotel just allocate a room with a double bed to us. Luckily the hotel staff is nice enough to change to a twin room for us. And this solves the problem but still without an extra bed. And requesting an extra bed need to made 1 day in advance and incur extra cost. Now I learnt that we need to really clarify after booking made, to get the room required.

This is a relatively old hotel. It's clean & the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our room has an unblock view of the city and the location of the hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the city. This hotel is suitable for both tourists & business people.

Expected much more”
Knowing Wuhan, I was expecting that a stay at this hotel would be good, so I booked the best room I could, a club room. The reception greeting was good, and the front desk rapidly and easily changed my flight booking for me, so it was a good start. I got to the room ,and looked out of the window across the Yangtze River. Right in front of the hotel were rotting river cruise ships, clearly in a bad state of repair, alongside an equally bad dockside. So this was not good. I looked at the room and thought it was not what I booked, so I went to the front desk and asked if the room I was in was a club room. I was told yes, so I went back to my room. I found that most of the hotel was closed due to New Year. Again this is strange, a hotel should expect guests at New Year, not be closed. The club lounge was closed and so were all the restaurants and bar, except for the buffet restaurant that was passable. The following morning I queried my room again, and the room manager came to my room and said that the room was wrong, when I showed her the picture on this website, so said she could move my room. As I was leaving that day, I declined, and was offered a hotel car to the airport (reasonable compensation). But I should have been given the right room first off, especially after querying it straight away. The hotel is located on the river, but there is nothing around the hotel. HanYang, Wuhan centre is a taxi ride away. There is nothing open in that area of the waterfront. The staff have a big problem understanding English, and for an American brand hotel, this is well below expectation.
