Amazing place!!”
From the moment we walked in the entrance Holiday Island Resort & Spa we were thoroughly impressed. The interior decor was upscale yet warm and inviting . My partner and I came for our honeymoon and we had the best time! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and helpful to us. Our bungalow was amazing very clean,spacious well appointed, comfortable, and offered a spectacular view of the ocean. Upon arrival,we found in our bungalow a chilled bottle of Prosseco and one basket with fruits such a nice touch. High marks to the staff who seemed very well trained and were full of smiling southern charm exceptionally people from the Housekeeping and F&B. The service was outstanding, and that is something that can really make or break a vacation. Nashid did a marvelous job of keeping our room clean and sweet smelling our entire stay. We would like to recommend him for special commendation. The next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service the buffet has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting I would like to thank to Chef and Sous Chef Mr Saed and rest of the Team from kitchen everyone was working very hard to offer the best food and service. Mr Waheed our Waitress was looking after us and was finding time to have a chat with us all the time . I would like to thank as well to the Housekeeping Manager and F&B Manager for all the effort looking after us and Congratulations to your team members for being so accommodating at all times. Amazing Experience - Our Honeymoon ”
We were super excited since we have booked Maldives holidays as our honeymoon. Choosing a resort is always cumbersome and time consuming process which could also be stressful. But we made no mistake when choosing Holiday Island. Resort is 20 minutes flight from male airport and route is quite scenic as you would expect. We were greeted at the domestic airport and taken on bus and then boat transfer to the resort. At the resort staff received us in Maldivian style and made us feel like king and queen. Anoof took us through everything we needed to know. We were then taken to our room which was superior beach bungalow and I would recommend that as it’s more private and has direct access to the beach. Room itself is quite spacious and very clean as housekeeping is done twice a day. Our room was decorated for the occasion and had a welcome drink. Resort has extensive facilities including water sports, spa, and excursions. We were all inclusive premium which included 3 excursions so I can’t comment on the pricing but it’s way cheaper than other resorts I think. Staff had been exceptional though out our stay, specially Ramar our housekeeping staff, Zamel from the buffet restaurant made sure were always looked after. Management is actively engaging with guests to make sure nothing has been missed in their experience. Holiday island is a small island and has white sandy beach around which is just perfect for doing various photo shoots also staff is very experienced in doing your photo shoots. Just ask nicely:)) it was an amazing and breathtaking experience. We would definitely return.

The resort was wonderful. Be it the food, the hospitality, the facilities in the room, everything is just awsome. The price of the drinks is also not high. Me and my husband went for honeymoon and we have decided that we will come back next year. The best place to honeymoon is this place. Loved it a lot.

We met up with our adult children, who had an amazing time at your diving center and where they were so well guided and instructed by Latife and your other instructors. The food was great and your waiting staff particularly Beval ( ? My spelling ) where excellent. The bar staff where so very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the spa it’s really beautiful and all your staff are very skilled especially rose We had a wonderful time and would love to return in the future.

Rude staff, poor hygiene ”
Staff were very rude, impolite and they don't feel any problem with treating guests badly. Rooms were dirty and stinky. Room condition was far away from what appeared in the pictures. Bathroom was totally miserable. We saw a mouse in the main restaurant.

Nothing special, Not for a memorable Maldives Experience. ”
Nothing special about the island. It is next to Maamigili, you can feel even the smell of the garbage they are burning. There is no standard in food; taste, texture and ingredients are changing daily based on who is cooking. The menu is also poor. The main restaurant buffet is even worse, we didn't choose to eat there after day 2. The beach are partially dirty with cigarette buds, etc. We have been given a fruit basket in our room on day one and it was never renewed or removed although the nonconsumed fruits got rotten. Many insects are also in the island. Definitely take a strong mosquito or insect repellant with you if you are sure of going to this island. Hello neighbour's excursion is a total loss of money, they take you to a very small island with 2 streets made of dirt and take you to 3 overpriced shops and expect you to buy stuff at triple or quadruple price. Staff are not well informed of packages, I had to convince them 3 times on my package included items. Not worth the money

Decent Week Spent ”
It was a nice and enjoyable stay;it was much cheaper than many other islands.It is very near to Mamgili airport which is also from used for transfer for Male.It is also a very small island comparatively.Rooms are good including the bathrooms.Room service is timely but can be slightly improved.The most attractive facility available is free shuttle to Sun Island;avail this asap after arriving here.When you combine the decent stay here with the ability to enjoy the beaches of Sun Island in addition to beaches at Holiday Island the entire deal becomes sweeter.The meals cost 20$ per pax per time;1.5L bottle costs 3$.Expect to spend around 100$ a day for 2 people;there are excursions to local islands,night fishing ,dolphin watching trips etc and you can expect to spend anywhere between 30$ to 90$ per pax depending on the activity.The room rates are comparatively much cheaper here making it value for money. We were suffering from indigestion even before we arrived there.The staff was quite attentive in offering us magic pills for these and then enquiring again a couple of days later. The transfer from airport to resort and back is very smooth;luggage etc is taken care of and you are made to feel welcome.

Peaceful,calm and relaxing”
My actual stay on thd island was good except for the fact that i was really shocked when i had to pay 450 $ extra for the trip from male to mamagili airport which is 2/3 of the price of the hotel stay itself. This is for a 20 mins flight. This fare is exagerated and should be lowered if tourists are to be impressed and agoda needs to mention this too.

WE loved the island and the property a lot. awesome location..also easy accessibility to Sun island.. Just that the service staff at the main lobby is very poor...they dont treat you as valued guests, no proper communication was done for the exact check out timings and the procedure, very inflexible attitude to adjust to guests demands; definitely needs improvement

Great location, accomodation and diving”
Great location, accommodation and facilities are highly recomended for family diving holiday. Seaplane Transfers were well co-ordinated and efficient. Resort layout was very functional providing both privacy and common areas for social interaction. Facilities staff were friendly and helpful. Dive centre afforded relaxed atmosphere but professional in delivery of its services.

The place is amazing, the beach is a dream”
We stayed well, but there is a part of the island where the sand is very clear, another part where is dirty, full of small rocks. there isn't the white and clean sand that you expect in the maldives. the sea is amazing it's a paradise. there is no reef in the island. The room were not well maintained, old furniture, scracthed, the fridge had the door rusty, the paint in the wall dirty. And THEY DON'T PROVIDE HAND & FACIAL TOWELS!!!!!! simply because the don't have it!!! It' rated 4 star resort, but is at least a 3 star. The food quality is very good and there is a lot of food choices. If i could reccomand this resort? no for the same price or a little bit more you can find something much more better.

Well maintained hotel with nice beach on jettyside”
We had a nice stay at this resort during our Christmas holidays. Rooms are nice and island is well maintained. If you want a relaxed and peaceful stay then this is the place for you. Not many options for water activities and sightseeing though. Spa facilities are great and a must try. For vegetarians not a great variety of food to choose from. Overall the hotel provides a good value for your money.

Great Location - Pristine Beaches”
The stay was fantastic. The accommodation was excellent. Restaurant Chef Mano (Hope I spelled his name correct) was very good and made special Indian vegetarian dishes for us upon request. The dive center is too good and the Diving/Snorkeling is awesome with Paolo, Amar and Mod. But, they take out one tank dive in the morning. Better for serious scuba divers if two tank dive is arranged every morning. Shami and other guys at reception were very polite. Only bad experience was from the accounts section. A support staff in the cash section named Hussain talked to us very rudely, that too when we were making final payment and leaving the resort on the last day and last minute. We were really surprised by harsh and rude discussion. Generally when guest settles his bills before leaving the resort, he expects smiling faces and a warm goodbye, but this crooked man was very rude. Such persons should be removed from duty that needs interaction with guests. Else, every thing was just fantastic and we had great time.

It could have been better”
Staff had not managed handing over the rooms on time made people wait to give them the appropriate rooms whereas at the time of checkout they saw to it that we left the room at sharp 12 this was totally unfair .when we booked on agoda for relax inn male we had requested to be picked up for the transfer to the island at 12.instead we were asked to be at the airport by 8.45.We had arrived at 2.30 to the inn early morning.this was terrible
