Decent Hotel, Good Position”
Stayed for 4 nights, arrived early morning 1st night and staff happy to check in and provide room straight away - always great when tired from a long journey! Hotel is decent, good pool area. Didn't use the restaurant but many did and it seemed ok. Plenty to do in the area and good eating places nearby. Rickshaw to Trivandrum for around R$300 (or less), takes 20 - 40 mins depending on traffic. All in all a good peaceful stay at Hotel Marine Palace

Great Location”
The location of the hotel is prime. The view of the beach and the sea from the Royal Suite terrace is unobstructed. Room service was prompt. No elevators in the hotel, so you will have to climb at least 3 floors of stairs if you book a deluxe room. Restaurants around the hotel has better dining options.

Ok, hotell, a little too expensive to be in India, even though Kovalam is more expensive. The Ac did'nt work from time to time, a lot of blackouts. Dirty towels but easy to get new ones. No problem with the staff or cleaning ladies. Food ok.

Reasonable hotel with sea views”
hotel is located very close to the lovely beach, and taxi service is available conveniently. the room is relatively small, but there is a balcony. i didn't like the restaurant - too dark and too slow, but can find some nice dining places on the beach. the rates were quite high in chrismas season. worth of it? maybe not.

Fantastic experience”
The looks from outside were not impressive but the room was excellent. The room was quite neat and clean with spacious bathroom. we really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back.

Stay is good. Everything is fine and healthy. Issues to check were, Maintaining overhead water tank Organizing the phone lines And proper arrangement for hot water by morning.

Very bad service”
Hot shower was not available. Laundry was not finished in time. The stuff was dull, they even couldn't call a taxi. A/c worked from time to time. The hotel is very close to a small temple. Every day there was a lot of noice from this temple and this didn't allow us to sleep well. The beds are uncomfortable.

An overpriced (not clear whether overcharged by hotel or booking site) ordinary small hotel with substandard breakfast with out any choice. Many large and better hotels with lots of facilities are available at same location either at same or little bit more price.

Very very pathetic and bad experience ”
Rooms were not cleaned, AC was not working and complained on the same, but no result. Room are small, bathroom was very bab, bathroom taps were not proper. I recommend please avoid this hotel as I explained horrible situation.

Dirty beds with hairs and pieces of food, probably noone washed it after last customer, dirty mirrow with mold on the frame, heavy doors, dirty windows, balkony, floor is dirty as well so need shoes to walk in, breakfast is poor. Yeah, stuff is polite

Hotel bien situe avec des chambres ayant vue sur la mer mais pas trop pres ce qui permet de ne pas etre gene par le bruit des vagues, assez fortes. L'hotel est un peu vieillot et ses peintures meriteraient une bonne cure de rajeunissement. Restaurant correct pour le petit dejeuner mais sans vue sur la plage. Bref, un hotel correct pour le prix mais ce n'est pas l'endroit reve pour un anniversaire de mariage ou pour epater sa petite amie.

Das Positive vorweg: Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, aber teilweise überfordert. Preislich ist das Hotel günstig. Zum Strand keine Minute zu laufen. Dieser ist allerdings nicht wirklich toll. Aber: Der Pool war - trotz Zusage - bis zur Abreise nicht nutzbar. Er war "umgekippt" und eklig. Die Zimmer sind unteres Mittelmaß, selbst für indische Verhältnisse. WiFi ist nur in der Lobby zu empfangen. Dem Hotel gegenüber ist ein Tempel, zu dem die Gläubigen mit lautem Gebimmel gerufen werden.

Sauberes Hotel, freundliches Personal”
I have been to Kovalam for several times. This time it was my boyfriend, me, and my mother. The staff was really nice and the rooms were nicely clean which is not taken for granted in India. The Marine Palace is perfectly located for the beach and walking home after an evening in one of the beachside restaurants. We would definately book there again.
