It seems you are not allowed to have guests in room. This was quite shocking because all the hotels where I've been to did allow. Because of this I had to pay extra money approx 900 to allow a guest in my room for lunch.

Excellent hotel at Kelambakkam”
Stayed here for 2 nights with family. The place is spacious and well maintained, staffs are helpful. The room was cleaned, sheets changed and supplies like water bottles, tea/ coffee restocked efficiently on the second day morning. The breakfast buffet spread was good - Idli,Vada,Uthappam,Paratha, Cornflakes, Eggs to order, Juice and Milkshake, Cut fruits etc. Easily accessible by Public transport being right in the heart of Kelambakkam town. Would definitely return here if I need to visit southern parts of OMR or VIT Chennai again.

Pros: room was clean, super friendly staff, nice breakfast and restaurant. Overall super super super Cons: wifi range was low at my room (corner room) but not a big issue since it was getting connected

Got here aT 9.30 pm. But they were helpful at the front and made check in smooth. I think the merit here is large spacious rooms. Staff are trained but can improve .

Reception staffs are good. Room service is very delayed. Very compact room. Mini size TV. Old type AC. Bathroom very small. Shower not working. Recommends only if above things get rectified. Food taste good.
