This Hotel is very close to the steps / winch. Very prominently placed. If you are travelling with Senior Citizen, then this will be the perfect hotel. You can have darshan of the steps if you open the balcony door. Stayed in a triple room and it was very spacious even after our loads of luggage. Washrooms are very clean. Full 5 star for this Hotel. Restaurant is attached to the hotel and they do not accept card payments. Carry sufficient cash if you are having food here.

Near to Temple, Clean & Value for Money”
Visited the temple along with my family including old aged parents and 1 year old baby. The staff were friendly. There was ample parking space for car. The rooms and common area were kept clean. The location is the closest you can be to the temple. The breakfast provided was also worth of the room rent paid.

We stayed 2 days in august 2019 and stay was exceptionally good The staff from the manager to the room boy were extremely friendly and helpful. The food and service at the restaurant was really good. Subam hotel was very good and nice stay - the rooms were very clean and maintained well. The restaurant was understaffed and could have provided a better experience there. But the stay and rooms were very good. They even let us use the front for a family event of the folks who stayed there.

You can’t have a better location if you are there to go up the Murugan temple. The staff is so nice and friendly- I can’t find words to describe it. More than in any other place in India. The rooms are basic but there is all you need including a silent AC and hot water

The hotel is very convenient my located directly opposite the 600 stairs to climb to hilltop temple, about 200 meters from the winch car and about 700 meters from the rope car Stalls are plentiful to buy Pooja goods and presents The hotel has good security during the busy periods and a good vegetarian restaurant However during peak periods the round is closed off and cars are not allowed in. You have to be dropped off away from The hotel and you will have to walk or catch the local taxi A excellent location overall

Positives first. Good location. Very congenial and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and toilets. Well maintained lobby. However they refused to give breakfast though it was included in the tariff and asked me to contact Agoda since Agoda had not included it in their instructions.

Good hotel in Palani. ”
Subam Hotel location is good. Right at the starting of steps to the hilltop temple. Nicely tucked in behind all the stores/bustle. Hotel reception were friendly and explained with details about the location and procedures to follow to have a good darshan. Thanks to them, we were able to go to hilltop for darshan on time and also view golden chariot procession (happens at 7pm). Rooms were good, little repainting (peeled of in some places) is needed. The beddings & furnishings were good. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The bath towels provided could be better (we didn't use them) and they were short of soaps (bought ours). The restaurant (Amudham) was good. The vegetarian food was very nice and good quality. The morning breakfast thali included with our booking was good as well. Overall nice stay & good restaurant. Can improve some areas, as mentioned above.

Hotel is located very close to the temple entrance, but parking is a little bit hassle as the roads to the hotel gets blocked during special/ festival days. Rooms are ok, compact sized. Breakfast spread is standard. Location is the USP.

Must Try This Hotel”
In Palani, this is a affordable stay and just a few meters away from the temple steps. Car parking area is at the other end that you can't find it easily. Call the hotel when you reach at Toll Gate or Bus stand , they will come and guide the way. Friendly staff and overall my experience was really satisfactory.
