Lovely and idyllic stay I really loved our time at Intercontinental Ras Al Khaimah. The place was just a week old during our stay. It’s a beautiful resort with complete 5-star amenities and high standard customer care and service. What I love most is how the staff were very accommodating and always attending to the needs of the guests. They make you feel so welcomed, relaxed and giving the on-vacation mode vibes with their warm smiles and the happy to help attitude in just about everything. I’d like to also mention the Club Intercontinental Lounge where we had a flower-themed afternoon tea. The selection of scones, sandwiches, pastries and desserts as well as the Sakura tea were top-notch. Add this to the amazing sunset beach view from the lounge and you know you’re all set for a beautiful stay. During sunset, the staff gather around and prepare for a Sunset Ritual. According to Martin, one of the managers in the resort, this ritual symbolizes their gratitude in finishing another beautiful day. The ritual began by with striking the gong and the staff in formation carried lanterns and placing it in different parts of the resort facing the sea. Then candles were also released to float on water. It’s simple yet very symbolic embodying the connection of the mountain, desert and sea. The rooms were exceptionally wonderful with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. It’s very spacious and naturally well-lighted. Beds are super comfy. The design is very sophisticated and aesthetically appealing. The bathroom is very clean, fully equipped with toiletries and there’s rain shower and bath tub. For dinner, I’d highly recommend Levant & Nar. It is a Turkish restaurant with a breathtakingly wonderful view of the sea. Food was very tasty too. Breakfast buffet was extraordinarily special too. Lots of food menu options. The pool area is definitely huge. Lots of day beds where you can lounge around. The beach was exceptionally pristine. So it’s a hard choice between the

Unfortunately not yet ready for guests”
While I honestly had a great time while visiting with my friend, the hotel isn't ready for prime time yet. I was informed that it was only the 2nd official day the hotel's been open when we checked in following a 2 week soft launch. While this sounded exciting at first it did mean that unfortunately the stay wasn't to my expectations of not only an Intercontinental hotel but a 5 star one at that — there was no running cold water, the bath only provided warm brown-yellowish water so we couldn't use that either, the lights weren't well connected and keep flickering throughout our stay and the wait times at the restaurants were unfortunately way too long (25 mins to get a menu, 40 before our first round of drinks arrived). Not to mention the spa and another restaurant weren't yet operational nor were the gym's steam room and jacuzzi. I feel these things should have been clearly highlighted before we booked or at least the rates slashed to accommodate their unavailability. Ah and I just remembered we never got any coffee nor eggs during breakfast despite it being the only things we actually ordered from the waiter. He did inform us it would take a while, but 45 minutes is quite a while I'd say. I wish I was exaggerating. Now while I honestly understand it was the first time the hotel was running at capacity, I feel we shouldn't have been charged full price (in fact it did feel like we should have been paid to beta test the hotel as some of the issues are borderline comical for a 5-star hotel in the UAE) or at least some concessions should have been made when I raised the above with the hotel. That said, one can't deny the hotel's location and ambiance was lovely. The staff were absolutely impeccable in service and honestly tried their best with what they had. Shout out to May and Gul for being very welcoming and accomodating. The food and drinks were also on point. I'm open to intercontinental inviting us to stay a night or two when the hotel is actually ready for
