My wife and I stayed at J8 for 14 nights with the intent of exploring Singapore. We don't mind a short walk and there are 2 train stations and several bus stops within 5 minutes of the hotel. This made it very easy to get to anyplace we wanted to go. Singapore is very safe, so taking public transportation any time, day or night is not a problem at all. J8 includes a nice breakfast every morning. While we were learning the public transportation systems, the staff helped us to choose the better routes to get to our destinations. While in Singapore, I contracted dengue fever - probably from a mozzie bite in the Maldives, as the symptoms hit shortly after we arrived in Singapore. I ended up in the hospital and the hotel staff helped out my wife as she shuttled back and forth between J8 and the hospital. Muyan from the front desk even stopped by the hospital to see how I was doing - try to find a hotel in the States where that would happen! We had a balcony room. It's small by American standards but clean and neat. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well. It did take a bit of work to get our luggage stowed around the room, (we had a chunk of SCUBA gear) but once it was stowed, it all worked out. I wouldn't recommend this room for families with kids - too small - but for my wife and I, it was perfect. We had a table and chairs on the balcony where we could sit in the evening and enjoy the view before going to bed. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe. Check out the fresh squeezed Orange Juice machines near the hotel - $2 SD for a cup of fresh squeezed OJ! We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome Stay”
We enjoyed our stay here at J8. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We are supposed to have a room without window but we were upgraded to deluxe with window. It was surprising and we were so glad about it. The room is small but fits the two of us. The location is great, very quiet, not much cars. Walking distance to the MRT stations and other places you can go to. A lot of food stalls surrounds the place so you wont get hungry. Breakfast is superb. Love waking up every morning and munching on it. Free flowing coffee, tea and juice as well. Will definitely go back here and thumbs up for J8! Thanks for making our stay convenient and comfortable.

Value for money + Comfort”
I booked this hotel for my cousin and his wife. All I heard were pretty good comments from them especially the breakfast. It may not be a high-end hotel yet it met their expectations and enjoyed their stay. The room was clean, service of the staff were good, location is near MRT and Mustafa Centre. For the same 3-star hotels all over Singapore, one would find hard to find a decent hotel with very good breakfast options and comfort. I wish they maintain such throughout the years.

Lucky we got bumped up to this hotel from a previous booking that got cancelled. This hotel is just perfect for our short trip. We had good rest after we explored SG. The room and the bathroom were clean. Did not have any problem at all. Checking in at 2am was no problem, as well as checking out at 11:59am, 4 days later. 8 minutes walk to the MRT station maybe not for the older folks especially after a day in USS or whatnot. Love the breakfast, really good!~~

EXCELLENT SERVICE - RECEPTION”
27 Sept 2019 19:37 hrs I was attended by an Indian Male Staff at the Reception who was on his evening shift who had helped me to upgrade from an earlier booking of Deluxe Gold room to a Family Room in a matter of minutes. It was a last minute decision to get a larger room when my 2 girls decided to tag along. The transaction went on very smoothly without much questioning by the staff. My daughters were so happy that they were able to come down at a later timing on the same day as I wasnt sure if I was able to make a change towards my bookings. A difference for the amount was paid soon after. Over and above, Id like to applaud the service provided by the staff of JB Hotel. Kudos to the mgmt of J8 Hotel in training the staff to have excellent customer service.

Clean, Quiet, Comfortable and Budget Friendly”
We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young kids under 7) travelling in Singapore. The place is very clean, bright, and comfortable. Staff were friendly too. The place is rather tiny but may actually be a standard in Singapore? The breakfast is pretty good. I would say it's great value for the money. We would definitely stay here again. It's near enough to the train station and lots of food establishments within walking distance.

This hotel is located in center of the city, where everything is accessible(attractions, MRT, SBS, restaurants and shopping malls) by walk. They are keeping hotel very clean and provide very good complimentary breakfast for the travelers. There is a small park in front of the hotel, where the kids can enjoy. I would strongly recommend this hotel to all travelers.

rooms are pretty tiny. Not sure if this is a singapore standard or not but for the price, I think it's still worth it. We got upgraded to the attic loft but you need to climb a flight of stairs which is a little inconvenient. Rooms are very clean and seems like it's just been renovated. Unit is very bright with modern styling. The bathroom is very nice but the one we got doesn't have a shower door by design and water splashes all over the the floor near the toilet. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good, they gave us 2 free breakfasts per day but they have a buffet type for coffee, orange juice, noodles, toasted bread and congee. Area is very convenient, lots of places to eat around walking distance.

The room and toilet was a bit small but, me and my wife loves it coz it was very clean from the room to the toilet. Price was ok compared to other 3 star hotels in SG because breakfast was included. We will surely come back and stay again here.

Pros: inhouse simple breakfast good for budget business travellers who needs to leave for work early. Has its own car parking. Cons: if the breakfast could be served from 6am - 6.30am would be more ideal.

like the title...very love this hotel, the room is not big but very comfort, clean, modern design, and i like the balcony. the staff is very nice and helpfully. the breakfast is delicious and accompanied by doves 😂😍 if you traveling with kids, this hotel is the right choice for you because front of the hotel is playground. the hotel is near with MRT stations, 7 eleven too, and many restaurants. i hope can stay any longer at this hotel and enjoying Singapore 😍

Perfect location at the end of Little India. Hote is located at a peace and quite area of Little India but buzzling area and great food just a walk down the street. Centrally located and easy to travel to MBS, Sentosa and other touristic attractions with MRT stations and buses in the area.

Very cosy place. Clean and spacious. our room had some problem with the aircon controller but at least the AirCon was still cool. the soundproofing of the walls wasn't that good. We can hear our neighbors and those on the ground floor.

The room was clean and spacious! Wasn’t expecting the room to be quite spacious and clean at first though. Staffs were friendly and fast check in. Loved the comfy bed and pillows. The shower room is clean and balcony’s clean too! Would highly recommend and would definitely come back! Worth the money if you’re looking for something comfortable and simple.

I got a booking at an incredible price. The room cleanliness is fine but not the cleanest, and the reception is happy to help with any issues (e.g. replacing a pillowcase that is dusty). There are complementary snacks put in the refrigerator in the 1st day and new bottled water is placed in the room everyday. Most importantly, the room has a bumgun in the toilet!

Stayed here for 13 nights and everything has been wonderful. Exceptional service, clean room and bathroom, modern decor and good breakfast in the mornings. Excellent location too. Either Farrer Park or Lavender MRT stations within 10 minutes walk. Definitely recommend. Thumbs up! Thanks to all staff for a great stay.
