It is a great hotel!”
I am a Japanese who stayed the hotel during my attendance to a scientific meeting. The first my impression to the hotel was "Wao! Beautiful and clean!". The shower/bath room was also good enough and comfortable. I also felt comfortable for the bed, and I had a good sleep. In addition, I was satisfied with the breakfast, and actually it was a good meal. So, I have a different impression to the hotel, though there are some negative reviews. I would like to recommend the hotel to anybody else who visit to Wuhan, especially for the visitors to the Hydrobiological Institute which is located very close to the hotel.

Never to return”
Arrived early morning due to fog flight delays, reception had no record of pre-paid booking completed weeks in advance. Was asked to pay again even after producing paperwork advising it was fully paid in advance, they also argued about the total nights. Room access card did not work so back to reception, new card operated door but not power -a 3rd card was then provided. First evening chose to dine at the hotel restaurant -1st choice from menu not available, 2nd choice also not available, 3rd choice was available but they would not seat me or serve me -so wandered local area to find suitable service and food. Room was warm but had no mini fridge to cool water bottles etc. Tea making provided but only paper cups are provided -highly unimpressed. Room access card was denied entry when returning on last evening and needed to be re activated at reception.
